Define "soul mate" and the meaning of "true love" :)?
Many times, people come to me and ask me about the meaning of "soul mate" and what is "true love"? Ive decided to put together a thesis giving different ideas of what the meaning of soul mate and true love are from people like yourselves. Your opinions, whether you believe in true love or not, will help me put together what I feel will be a wonderful collection of the meaning of soul mate and true love. Is gender identity dictated by attraction?
I feel it is possible for some people to act masculine to attract people who may be attracted to masculinity (not all attraction pairings are for masc/fem. some can be masc/masc or fem/fem and some cannot be characterized within an attraction for masculinity or femininity) Also, some men, whether they identify as as gay or not, can consider themselves feminine or display femininity. Likewise, some women, whether they identify as lesbian or not, can consider themselves masculine or display masculinity. And there are some people who may not display either, and may not consider themselves either. Here is an example of how expectations of attraction may affect gender: in some gay communities,some men who are gay act hyper feminine because it is culturally attractive in some communities. In some heterosexual communities, some men who are heterosexuals act hyper masculine because it is culturally attractive in some communities. That example highlights another aspect of gender dynamics, they can change for some people over time. This to me means that attraction may not be the only thing that affects gender identity, but it could be one of many things. I believe that gender is a social construct and that people react to cultural expectations of behavior that a society has labeled gender. My reason for believing this is that gender is not consistent universally, it changes over time and also depending on the culture one is from. In my own culture, people can be without gender, or with multiple genders. My own culture differentiates between sex and gender and we also recognize more than two sexes.
Will I become sexually attracted to animals? :(:(:(?
Please hear me out and help me :( I don`t know what to do anymore.The thing is that,I`m not attracted to animals sexually as far as i think but sometimes i catch myself on thought that maybe i am attracted to them...that is so sick...I don`t want to be attracted to them :( :( :( I`m so scared that seriously will become attracted to them when i don`t want that at all!!! I have boyfriend I love him more than anything,I always had animals at home and still have...cats,dogs....I love animals and always helped them and rescued animals myself many times,but this thought that i might be attracted to them drives me crazy,i don`t even understand why im having this thoughts....it all started year ago i had one thought that triggered this all animals thing,i thought if it`s okay for guy to have sex with guy,than y same wouldn`t apply to animals and humans...and then started to read all kind of posts where some people would say that it`s okay and some would say that it`s not....internet got me confused even more,then i heard that people take porns with animals (WTF o.O) I didn`t watched it or want to watch it but im interested in this whole bestiality thing....i mean i don`t want to have sex with animals,no way....but im worried that i think about this bestiality thing and people having sex with them...cos i have this thoughts...im afraid not to become attracted sexually to animals....idk why but im terrified by it....One more thing my bf studies abroad....when he is here i have no such thoughts and nothing worries me but when he is not here,i start thinking about this sick people and whole this matter again....idk what`s going on,maybe someone canchat with me,someone who can help me with organizing my thoughts and tell me what`s going on with me.....maybe it was shock for me? Cos i knew people have sex with animals,i knew it happens in some countries...but had no idea that it is so common,i discovered that many people prefer animals over humans and had no idea that they take porn and stuff....anyway please help me....what do you think?
Do animals ever select mates based on physical appearance?
Male dogs pursue female dogs in heat regardless of appearances. Dogs sometimes choose mates (their version of LTR) based on more than season. A mate is an individual with whom he will stay and defend for a major portion of his life. Such females have more going for them than being in heat (I suspect some personality trait the male identifies with). A dog may choose a mate to be with but may have sex with another female in heat. He will be unlikely to stay with and defend the nonmate female however regardless of outcomes. For his mate a male dog with access to a natural enough environment will often dig a burrow and defend it from intruders. He may even bring back food for his mate and vomit it up for her (doesn't get more romantic than that). Looks are more important to wolves perhaps. Wolves have been known to kill wolves that look different. Whether they are responding to an appearance or a smell is unknown. Modern dogs tend to be more accepting of differences but seem to take an instant liking or disliking to each other which may also be scent based. Animals that take looks into consideration are more likely to have prominent eyes and smaller noses. Birds and primates tend to fit this bill the most.
