What Can I Do To Help A Lightheaded Piercing Headache After Getting Light Headed And Blacking Out

Lingering nausea and headache after being upside down?

Donating blood shouldn't have anything to do with it especially a day earlier. Headaches are caused by tight neck muscles. They go to the top of your head where they connect to muscles going around your head. When the neck muscles get tight they pull the head muscles into pain and that's your headache. When your neck muscles are tight they can press into your throat to put pressure on your gag reflex area there to cause you to feel nausea. When your neck muscles are tight they can restrict the blood flow in your head so less oxygen gets to the brain. There are three stages of lowered oxygen levels in the brain and they are; feeling very tired; getting dizzy or light headed; and passing out. To get rid of the headache you have to release your neck muscles to free the muscles pulled tight which will free the throat of the pressure causing the nausea and vertigo and here's how to do that release:
Neck:
Place your hands behind your head so your fingers meet in the middle of your neck. Press into the neck with a moderate pressure and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your head as far as you can, then remove the pressure from the muscles but continue holding your head down for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
Your neck muscles tightened up from leaning over the tub which is a good indication there was some tightness in them before and that extra pressure brought the problem to the surface.

Brain infection from nose piercing?! help!?

Why did I faint right after I got my ears pierced?

You had an episode of vasovagal syncope, due to stress and excitement over getting your ears pierced, which caused your blood pressure to rapidly lower- probably because the veins and arteries over dilated. It's not a major deal, and nothing to get worried about. Folks pass out after having a blood test or shot all the time, for exactly the same reasons. We are just wired with a bit of sensitivity, and sometimes we get overloaded, that's all. If you hadn't had anything to eat in a bit, or if the piercing hurt in the process, that could have also triggered it. It was a perfectly normal reaction to a body that was temporarily overloaded. Since you obviously came around and didn't suffer any ill effects (embarassment aside), it means your brain got things reset to normal pretty quickly, also a good sign. You are still healthy, so just pass it off as one of those things that happen.

Headache & dizziness after standing up?

You should get it checked out honey. At 13 years old you shouldn't be experiencing those symptoms. If you haven't already, ask your parents or legal guardian to take you to your regular family doctor for a checkup. Explain whats happening when you get up. He'll do blood work and He'll probably send you to another doctor called a neurologist(they deal with the brain). And he'll send you for testing, an MRI or CATscan. I know this sounds scary but just to be on the safe side it's best to check. If your regular doctor doesn't send you to a neurologist don't be afraid to ask him about it yourself. Your health comes first.
And if he says, oh it's nothing to worry about, get a second opinion!!

What causes dizziness after eating anything sweet?

Why do I get immediate headache after eating something sweet? You are not alone my dear. The sugar headache, otherwise known as the Holiday Headache (because we eat so much sugar on Easter, Halloween, Christmas and other holidays) has a lot in common with a hangover but it can strike at any time we overdose on sugar. While most of us have experienced a sugar headache at some time in their lives it is not well-known in medical circles. It might even surprise you to learn that the exact causes of all headaches are a bit of a mystery. Scientists have discovered that both migraines and cluster headaches change blood flow in the brain, but exactly how blood flow changes create a headache is unknown. The same is true of the sugar headache.I view the sugar headache as a toxicity or dehydration event and while it might be an annoyance, it could also be the sign of something more dangerous. Let’s look at sugar Dehydration and see how it might cause a headache.Sugar DehydrationDehydration is a common way to get a headache and sugar can lead to dehydration. Eating too much sugar pulls water out of your body in two ways.Dilution: When you eat too much sugar, your body has to dilute that sugar to keep it from harming your body. This means that water is pulled from all parts of your body to balance the large amount of sugar in your blood stream. While this water-pulling effect happens all over the body, it is your head that suffers the most.Urination: One of the ways that your body has of getting rid of excess sugar is to dump it in your urine. This is especially true of diabetics, who have to go to the bathroom a lot.Processed sugar and processed grains both act like sugar in your body and this is toxic to the very blood cells that carry the sugar throughout the body.i hope this helps…
