What Can I Do To Hydrate My Hair

How can I gloss and hydrate my blonde brittle hair?

Hi Annie,You've used a very important description word in your question..."brittle".  Brittle hair in my mind means on the verge of breaking and in the damaged category.  If this is the case, brittle hair will not mend itself permanently with conditioners nor will brittle hair attach itself to a gloss successfully.  Conditioners and glosses will only be a band-aid or rinse down the sink if the hair struggles to maintain strength. Here is my truth today:A haircut.I understand how important hair can be to our image, protection of our scalps and many times sexuality but when it on the verge of breaking all of the things I mention suffers further.  A haircut eliminates damage further. Yes, cutting or at least trimming minimizes and eliminates the inevitable breakage.  A hair gloss.Hair glosses will give temporary shine under normal circumstances but the likely hood of attaching itself to damaged hair becomes tricky and quite unfavorable when the cuticle (outermost layer) has been opened "way" too much. In such cases, the color gloss finds itself rinsing off or taking an undesirable tone.  Looking forward to better hair.Hair normally tells us when its had enough even when it is already dead.  Our liberties to do whatever we want to it is certainly a personal choice but think of the long term and what that means.  Hair on our head is cyclical, yes, but we want what we have to be in the best adornment and protective stage possible long term.Sorry it may not be what you want to hear.Cheers to Looking Great,Eva Council Dupree

Does any cooking oil work to hydrate hair?

1-I have natural and have very kinky, curly hair as well. I am so familiar with this problem. Before I give you any advice about products and such I have to tell you that it takes a while for the hair to be trained and once your hair is trained then it really doesn’t matter what kind of products you use. In my opinion shampoo and conditioner is not such a big deal. I use Tresemme shampoo and conditioner,I always use a leave in conditioner, as well as a heat protector spray by Tresemme. Also, rinse with tepid water, actually as cool as you can take it, it makes the hair shine. After that I use the leave in conditioner and the heat protector spray. I try to let my hair air dry as much as possible to illuminate the amount of heat. So, then I blow dry! This is when the Super Skinny Serum comes in to play, then I use a light oil, like Hot Six. Its a liquid, this helps to lubricate the hair so that it doesn’t singe while flat ironing. Now, use a small amount of oil but for the first day it will seem a little heavy but not super heavy, you will still have major body. Always remember to wrap your hair at night with a soft/slick material so that it doesn’t pull or split. One last thing, a lot of people spend macho bucks on expensive flat irons but I kid you not, I paid 15 bucks for my flat iron and it is the best one I have ever owned. I wouldn’t make it without my flat iron. It is Andris and I purchased from Walmart Actually all of the products I use can be bought from Walmart.I hope this information is helpful. Don’t lose hope and remember once you train your hair it will be almost as if you have a different texture and then it will be more manageable..

For this problem I concerned this site http://www.haircareness.blogspot.com/

How to hydrate dry damaged relaxed hair?!?

I also have relaxed hair and I struggle with the same issues. I'm going to give you a list of hair products that have given my hair spectacular results. I have a habit of using more white people hair care products then ethnic products but the way my hair has been growing lately, I must be doing something right.

DAMAGE
-Eggs & Oil Treatment: This is a at home remedy that might sound weird but it strengthens your hair. Mix eggs and whatever hair oil (like a teaspoon) you have in your house with the eggs and apply it to your hair for about 15 minutes with a shower cap then wash it out. Immediately after doing this, apply a deep conditioner to your hair for 45+ minutes (you need to replace the moisture the eggs treatment took out).

Vitamins that hydrate dry hair

ok well first 2 bottles are not enough you need at least 8 -8oz a day min. but as far as supplements I have been taking healthy hair skin and nails by Andrew Lessman (hsn) for about a month HUGE difference with my hair skin and nails. Much more hydrated and grew twice as fast, I get highlights and usually go every 6-8 weeks I have to go after only 4 weeks, my outgrowth is like 1 inch after a month, good vitamins for hair are folic acid, high levels of biotin 3mg,pantothenic acid, omega 3 and 6 which is found is salmon, any fish oils, olive oil, all of these when eaten or taken in supplements can help with aid in hydrated hair, also investing in a shower filter is HUGE it takes out most of the chlorine and chemicals found in tap water. Dont wash your hair everyday, don't use too many hair products (with alot of alcohol) and buy shampoo without sulfates which will strip hair of natural oils.
Hope this helps :) goodluck.

How can I keep my natural (African) hair moisturized and hydrated all the time?

Massage in coconut oil or Olive oil or almond oil etc. or a good quality conditioner.Let oils soak in overnight before shampooing. What are the best ways to hydrate dry scalp?

The dry weather in winter, stress, improper diet, and sebaceous cysts are common leading causes to your scalp’s dryness, dandruff, and itchiness. Most adults suffer from this symptom like scratching the scalp, which embarrasses you in publicity. You can get rid of this problem with natural home remedies.Lemon Juice: Squeeze a lemon and apply its juice directly to your scalp (maybe use the peel of the lemon with a purpose of massaging your scalp at the same time). Shampoo off the juice from the scalp after 5 minutes or when it has a drying effect on your scalp. Treat your scalp in that way twice a day until dry scalp is completely gone. Remember that lemon juice will lighten up your hair color a bit if you’re looking for some natural highlights.Apple Cider Vinegar: Wash your hair and your scalp with water and let it dry completely. Mix equal parts of apple cider vinegar and water well and pour it in an empty spray bottle. Utilize this solution directly on your scalp by using a cotton ball or you can spray onto your scalp and massage it for few minutes. Wait for 15-20 minutes by covering your head Clear it off with shampoo and normal water. Repeat this process once or twice a week to get complete relief from the itchy and dry scalp.Source:Top 36 Quick Natural Home Remedies To Relieve Dry Scalp In Winter

What can I put in my hair after it has been washed?

Firstly, you should consider what you are using to wash your hair with. Look for Shampoos with glycerin high up on the ingredient list because it hydrates the hair from the inside out which will help fight frizz. Conditioner will also be very beneficial for you to use as it deposits moisture into your hair, again look for conditioners that contain glycerin and other hydrating ingredients like shea butter. When it comes to drying your hair, it is best to let it dry naturally as much as possible before blow drying to reduce the amount of hot air directed onto your hair as this is another thing that dehydrates your hair. It is recommended that you let your hair dry 90 percent and then blow dry the remaining 10 percent. As for what you should apply to your hair post blow dry to ensure a frizz free look all day, hair oils are great because they penetrate further into the hair follicle to smooth and hydrate. Argan oil is a star ingredient to look for as it works wonders on over processed hair which is very prone to frizz. Finally, to ensure you stay frizz free all day, pop a spray serum in your purse to give your hair a quick touch up when you’re out and about just in case the weather turns your hair wild. Kevin Murphy’s Motion Lotion is a great product that styles the hair yet is weightless with a natural finish.
