What Can Make A Nail Salon Unique And Different From The Rest Of The Market Today

How can I find potential customers for hair salons and market to them?

Great question!Sounds like you are aiming for discovering new customers. Have you tried building a custom audience on Facebook yet?You can build one by defining the region, age, gender and interest of your target audience. Or if you have a list of clients, you can upload that to your Facebook account and create a Look-Alike audience. This is incredibly powerful, as it allows you to target specifically the people in your area that enjoy the services you area providing. But in terms of marketing to them, just be careful of not hard selling too much! So many salons miss their opportunity by using social media in a non-social way.Generally, people don’t go on Facebook or Instagram to be advertised to. So if they come across something ‘too sale-sy’ they tend to skip it.Instead, you can aim to entertain or educate them.We actually have a free webinar dedicated to Facebook marketing, that can help you build the marketing content! What are the best ways to market a struggling nail and beauty bar in a bad location?

Product/Market Fit & have fun brainstorm new ideas! You can read all about PMF on Quora but I think it's worth taking a closer look at your business to see where additional opportunities are. In particular, what are the cohorts of your customers look like. Some ideas:Referral program: coupons to give way to existing customers. New customers they bring in means $5-10 off their next service. Referrals are powerful though they should not be the only funnel to gain new business. Group discounts: mom + daughter, sisters/siblings, friends. Think about the types of customers who may want to go together - you can put a discount of x% if 2 or more shows up for their serves. "Downtime fillers": when's the slow time that you have to keep the salon running? Hourly or perhaps seasonal? For example, if you experience slowness around noon to 4pm, then  you welcome customers to stop in for a slightly lower rate - people might just do it by stepping out of work, or stopping by during lunch hours. It sounds like a location where reduction in cost could trigger more traffic. Monthly/Yearly Premium Membership - you got regular customers so why not secure them with monthly or yearly membership. $x for y number of mani or peti or both. This option works VERY well for hair salons in Asia and I feel like businesses don't take advantage of this strategy enough in the US. By putting down certain $ amount, customer receives a discount for their service at say 10/20/30% off, depending on the membership (silver, gold, diamond, etc.) Level of membership is dictated by upfront payment.Special event offers targeting career, wedding, etc. - I fall under a category of people who don't go to nail salon as often BUT I'll always go before an interview or special event. This way you can educate people the importance of having nice nails, or if you are lucky I hope you get a ton of customers getting ready for the same event (bridesmaid, etc.)Lastly - consider spreading the words through services such as LivingSocial or Groupon.
