What Can U Give A Dog For Pain

What can i give my dog for pain after her was spay?

There is a very good chance your dog was given a pain shot that will last until morning. She looks like crap because she is coming out of anesthesia and just had a major surgery. Don't give any pain medications to her without your vet's approval. Many of the human pain medications can damage the dog's organs. Right now she needs to sleep. Call the vet in the morning and ask if pain medication is needed. Some vets do not prescribe pain meds for spays. My vet doesn't agree with this fortunately.

You should have been given a sheet of discharge instructions from the clinic before bringing her home. This details her short-term and long-term care, such as not getting the incision wet for 10-14 days, etc.

What can I give my dog for pain since shes in heat?

Your dog is fine don't give any pain meds. Most over the counter meds can be toxic to dogs. She will swollen for about 3 weeks. She will have a discharge for 7-10 days. After the discharge stops she will stand to be bred by any male dog around. If you are not planning on breeding your should have her spayed when she goes out of heat. The more heats she comes into it will increase her cancers and infections. If she gets an infection it will be an emergency surgery to try to save her life. Please talk with you vet they will tell you more about this.

Can u give a dog pain killers?

Actually you can give your dog aspirin. I give my dog an aspirin a day for similar reasons. Poor Fido and Daisy :(

What can be given to female dogs in heat for pain relief?

Im pretty sure dogs don't get menstrual cramps, they probably have general aches and pains due to fluctuations in hormones and they're less energetic sometimes meaning they feel more lethargic. Never give your dog OTC human painkillers, if you think she's in pain call your vet for advice. There's no harm in putting a hot water bottle in her bed, make sure its not too hot and wrap it in a fluffy towel. Dogs usually react to minor pain by self soothing but a little bit of heat should help with discomfort.
