What Causes Heart Burn. Indergestion.

Can foods or indigestion cause rapid heartbeat?

Can foods, indigestion, or high sodium cause rapid heartbeat?

I am a little nervous now, I had rapid heart beat for what seemed 2 hours as I was trying to fall asleep. Finally I got up and it just sounded fast and felt fast. Usually I get this on occasion and it is due to heartburn, indigestion, burping-that kind of thing. This time I felt no signs of indigestion, I have been drinking water because that seems to have always helped in the past. I have read about this "sudden cardiac" stuff and I am a worry freak and do not want to die, of course. I am 25 years old...rather healthy, no prescription medications or major health problems to my knowledge. Does this typically happen or is this a sign of a heart condition? I have no pressure or pain, no faintness feelings, just the sound and feeling of a fast heartbeat. I have now drank water and feel burps coming through, my throat feels dry and salty. The heartbeat was at 115 beats in a minute and has come down to 85 per minute now. Should I worry or just go to sleep? Serious answers only please!! So I can relax (hopefully)....=\

What is the difference between heart-burn and indigestion?

Heartburn' or pyrosis is a painful or burning sensation in the esophagus, just below the breastbone caused by regurgitation of gastric acid.[1] The pain often rises in the chest and may radiate to the neck, throat, or angle of the jaw. Heartburn is also identified as one of the causes of chronic cough, and may even mimic asthma. It is so called because of a burning sensation of the breastbone where the heart is located although some heart problems do have a similar sensation to heartburn. Despite its name, heartburn actually has nothing to do with the heart. Compounding the confusion is the fact that hydrochloric acid from the stomach comes back up the esophagus because of a problem with the cardiac sphincter, a valve which misleadingly contains the word "cardiac" (an adjective referring to the heart) in its name.

Nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea, help?

This past week I've been eating a lot of junk food and my stomach is sensitive to that. Yesterday it felt like I was I had trapped gas, but then it calmed down but I went to a party and ate pizza and oily food and soda while still feeling icky it was a bad idea. That night I got bad heartburn, the acid was in my throat, I could feel gas in my chest, I felt nauseous, it was really bad. I finally took a heartburn pill and it calmed down a bit but today I can feel gas off and on and I have diarherra and my lower intestines hurt when I'm about to do diarherra. Is that normal? I was constipated before all this too and I'm dehydrated. Any tips, how long will this last?

What causes heartburn in honey and is it only in storebought honey?

When I've eaten the store bought honey bear honey (I think clear value it was like this too) I got heartburn. But at my local Nature's Storehouse where they sell local honey, I never get heartburn; it's soothing to eat. My Mom ate some clover store bought honey and asked me if having heartburn from it is a good thing. Even though I haven't gotten heartburn at all from the honey I've been eating so far; I honestly am not sure what to say. And I wonder if the same thing will happen to me if I eat the clover store bought honey.
