What Causes Pimples And How You Avoid Them

Can fingering cause pimples?

I am a virigan. I have only allowed my ex to finger me, but one day I got a pimple down there. I told him to stop and he did,and the pimple went away, I never had another one after that. But rencently I finger myself and now another pimple has shown up.....can fingering cause them

What causes pimples????????

>if you have a pimple or blackhead it's not because you're doing anything wrong. You get teenage pimples and blackheads because one of your grandparents or parents had a similar problem: you inherited it.

>For a blemish to form, you need a blockage in one of those tiny holes everywhere in your skin called a pore. Everyone has sebaceous (pronounced seb-aysh-us) glands everywhere in their skin, which pump out small amounts of oily stuff called sebum. Sebum protects us. its why when we get in the bath or go swimming we don't fill with water and puff like a sponge.

>During the teen years you have more of the hormone androgen, which over-excites your sebaceous glands, which then pump out too much sebum, which then blocks the pores and black heads.

pimples can get worse during stressful times because hormones caused by stress make inflammation worse.

there are a few things you can do to try and stop pimples forming or to hurry them along if they do arrive.

☞wash your skin every night to remove excess surface oil and dead skin cells.
☞make sure any gloo that goes on your face, whether it's make up or pimple lotion, doesn't clog your pores.
☞wash sweat off after exercise or when it's hot.
keep your hair clean and try to keep it off your face and neck especially if you use product.
☞eat healthy food
☞avoid cigarette smoke
☞try not to touch your face or rest your cheek in your hand.

Could a necklace be causing pimples?

It might be the necklace. Perhaps wearing it makes you sweat more, or you might be allergic to it, or perhaps it irritates your skin, but my best bet is you touch it, and fiddle with it, and when you do, your fingers spread the oils and bacteria that help acne spread. You could try removing the necklace for a few weeks and see how your acne does, but I wouldn't count on it.

In all honesty, some people are just prone to breaking out, and some people only break out or have very bad breakouts in specific areas. It sounds like your oily skin might be the culprit. My one suggestion to you would be to change your skin routine a little. Body washes and soaps are made to clean the body, not cure acne, and in many cases will either dry your skin out too much, or encourage it to create more oils- and aggravate your acne in the process!

I would recommend you check out something specially formulated to cure or reduce acne. Because you have oily skin, I would suggest either a light cream or a spray, since they work to dry zits, while lotion-based moisturizers and heavy creams and masks increase the grease! Be sure to avoid things with a lot of alcohol in them, I've heard they wreak havoc on oily skin.

A brand called Nature's Cure makes a spray specifically for "backne", but I'm not sure how well it works. I've had luck with a product made by Burt's Bees- it's called a Parsley Blemish Stick, and you roll it on your individual blemishes, and within a few days they're gone. I've had good results with it, but it's rather expensive, stings, and has a rather strong smell of anise (black licorice).

For people who get acne, do you avoid foods that you think cause pimples and breakouts?

I'm an adult who still has acne problems. I've been told by two dermatologists that diet absolutely does not affect acne. Of course, they also both said, "if you think there is a food that you think causes breakouts, avoid it." I've read a few articles recently that attribute acne to foods with a high glycemic load, so I've basically been trying to avoid sweet things - chocolate, ice cream, juice, and soda. I also avoid smoked or treated deli meats like roast beef, pastrami, and salami because they can contain iodine, which I've also read can cause breakouts.

What are your experiences with or thoughts about diet and acne?

How do you treat a bleeding pimple to avoid scarring?

Don't make it bleed in the first place. Seriously. If it is bleeding, you either squeezed it or picked it. If you squeezed it, you probably ruptured and/or traumatized the pore beneath the skin, which is what causes craters. If you picked it...well it's not really necessary to explain how picking at a scab increases the chance of scarring, is it?Let's just assume that just like every guy I know, you have already ignored  this advice and your pimple is already bleeding. Wet healing can be up to 70% faster than dry healing, so if the pimple is anywhere but your face your best bet is to put neosporin/bacitracin ointment in it and cover it with a band aid for the first day and occasional mild cortisone on it after that. Same advice for the face but you will probably want to skip the band aid.
