I was thinking of changing the front and back bumper as well as prob the hood, If thats what it takes to make it look eye catching. Take into consideration the doors will remain the same colour. I will also be adding either black or silver rims.

What color underlights would match a gold car?

I know half of you are going to complain about it being illegal, or "not cool looking," and frankly I don't care, so save it please. I have a gold 2005 grand am, and I currently have neon yellow under lights that I'm considering installing. I originally wanted to re-paint the car, but that would cost me a lot of money..are there any colors other than the current yellow that would match the color of my car?

What color car paint is the best to repair and match so that the final repair is invisible?

As far as colour match? Black is one of the easiest to blend, if not THE easiest. However, black shows differences in texture very well, so your prep work has to be immaculate. On the other hand, white hides imperfections really well, but is actually one of the hardest colours to match in small batches. I've mixed whites that called for 0.1 grams (literally drops) each of 2 or 3 other tints per gallon (upwards of 3000 to 5000 grams depending on the product). Try making that in a tiny batch when your scale only reads in tenths of a gram. A gallon will paint a full size pickup, easily. White also doesn't cover well, so the under work can sometimes be seen under greater lighting. As for the other colours, metallics and pearls require more effort to blend since appearance is greatly affected by application, so solids tend to be easier to apply, especially as a single stage (no clear coat). Some are tricky to match though.Tl;dr. White is forgiving for imperfections, but can be hard to match and can be transparent, while black is so easy to blend a “match” is pointless, but tends to highlight imperfections. Metallics can be trickier to apply, but hide imperfections, while solids are forgiving to apply, but are uncommon and can be stupid hard to match.Auto paint is a complex animal and not at all like house paint. No matter what, remember that it's all in the prep. The colour can always just be re applied, but bad prep will show through everything.

Had the front of my car painted, color doesn't match rest of car. Is that normal?

Take it back to the shop or complain to the insurance company. Any time you paint a section of a car, you have to "blend" the paint color into adjacent panels to get a good color match and make the fresh paint not as noticeable from the rest of the car color. No one can ever paint a car with an exact color match because of fading and color formulas, so blending is the next best thing. Washing or waxing or waiting for it to fade will never get the paint to match either. Insurance companies estimates usually allow for blending into adjacent panels...you may be losing value on the car also if it is not returned to pre-accident condition as best as possible.

Can you use lowes to match car paint?

House paint and auto paint are completely different things. That's why auto paint can go on so thin and still protect the car. Go to any auto supply store and they can color match some auto paint to match the color of your car.

Having a new door replaced on car, will the paint color match?

Hello all,
So my 1999 clk320 benz was recently hit and I am now going through insurance to have my vehicle fixed. The passenger door needs to be replaced. My question is when having a new door replace and painted, will the paint color match the rest of the car? I really don't want one "blinging" new shinny door. The cars original color is a metalic silver. Since the car is 10 yrs old with the original paint do you think it will stand out? If so from your experience do you think insurance will pay to have the whole car repainted to match correctly.
This whole situation makes me pretty upset. It was hit by a drunk driver and luckily everyone is safe but I have been so careful to not get even so much of a scratch on my car and now this:(
Thanks for your input...
