What Comes To Mind When I Say 90210

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you see the word (future)?

Crisis.Right now, the ‘civilized’ world is on the brink of collapse in my point of view. The migration crisis in Europe will either bring countries down to civil war, or we will see a Europe taken over by foreigners and people that think inviting ANYONE is a good idea. Even the Dalai Lama said that Europe belongs to Europeans and that the migrants need to rebuild their own country. Please take note that there is a difference in migrants and refugees. Refugees are (mostly) welcome for me, but the existential migration crisis of today will bring an ultimatum to Europe within 5 years. My bet is civil war. Look at France right now. Paris is a bloody warzone.Annihilation.Many front men in technology and computing are warning us of the dangers of Artificial Intelligence. Elon Musk, Stephen Hawking and many more have serious concerns regarding the speed at which AI is developing and being developed. There are too few people that really understand AI and AI is already surpassing humans in many fronts. Who knows what AI could do. It is, right now, way too dangerous to continue with AI before more people are able to deal with it well.A possible war between superpowers. The major powers of today and of old are, as always, increasing tension. Soon tension will reach a limit. The early 2000’s were really calm, and now tension has been rising again quickly since 2014. Who knows what this will unfold to…This all sounds pretty depressing

What's the first thing that comes to your mind when I say "woah this bowl of noodles is hot", the temperature or the spiciness of it?

Temperature. If you had said -boy are these noodles hot, I might have been inclined to think it could go either way with a slight lean towards spicy. Mentioning the bowl, as you do, if you were talking about spice is useless information. Your experience of its spiciness would be the same if you were eating it out of a hat. The mention of the bowl adds the possibility of another sensory experience that you might be referring to beyond taste.

What is the first thing comes to your mind when you hear the word INDIA?

Here we go,I can imagine the freedom movement and our Tri-Color flying high.Songs of Kishore Kumar and Md.Rafi .India’s 1971 war with Pakistan.Kapil Dev’s picture holding 1983 World Cup.India’s nuclear test at Pokhran.Vajpayee Govt.’s falling by 1 vote.Manmohan Singh’s Government( and of course 2G spectrum!!)Arnab Goswami uttering,’The Nation Wants to Know’! and Subramanyam Swami calling him,’Dumbo’.Rajdeep Sardesai being scolded by the president of India!BJP’s campaign of ‘Janta Maaf Nahi Karegi’.Donald Trump saying ‘ebeki boar modi sakaaaar!!’ to woo Indo-American voters.International Yoga Day.Chak De India and Border movies.Surgical Strikes on Pakistan‘Aloo ki factory’ of Rahul Gandhi.‘Exasperating farrago of distortions, misrepresentations&outright lies being broadcast by an unprincipled showman masquerading as a journalst’, tweet by Shashi Tharoor.Naan and Tadka Daal.Heckling Sambit Patra in TV debates.Republic Day March.Slums of Mumbai.Flipkart, Paytm and Shaadi.com.River Ganga.North Indian Stereotype ,’Aloo Paneer’ vs South Indian Stereotype,’Idli Sambar’!!Jaipur’s palacesBangalore’s start ups.

What is one thing that comes to your mind when I say the word ‘politics’?

I asked my friends the same question and answers were similar to almost everyone.Corruption, Dirty Politicians who are busy gloating and debates on news channels. My experience is quite different in this case.I remember our two previous prime ministers when I hear the word ‘politics’Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee & Mr Manmohan SinghIt was summer of 2004.My father was watching exit polls on news channels. My mother was inside the kitchen. I wanted to see some cartoon. So I requested my dad to let me see it. He denied. I went inside the room and then I heard some conversation like this :Father : NDA has lost it completely. Neither they got the seats nor their allies. It's the end of Vajpayee then.Mother : They should've won. What possibly went wrong?Father: I don't know. Vote bank politics is very hard to apprehend. They must have misjudged some possibilities.Mother : So a foreigner will be our prime minister? Vajpayeeji would've been a better prime minister than a foreigner. Then I came back from the room and saw then stepping down Prime minister of our country. I saw him and instantly his picture got captured in my mind. Whenever I hear the word politics, I remember him. Then after a few days, I saw again my father watching a program on Doordarshan which was the oath taking ceremony of Mr Manmohan Singh. I still remember him taking that oath whenever i hear the word politics. These two people changed the face value of our country. Even though they faced some problems because you know, it's democracy, they were world class leaders. When in 1991,India was just weeks away from declaring it's bankruptcy, It was Mr Manmohan Singh who took a chunk out of the license Raj and liberalised our economy.Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee showed the world the power of Indian defense force during the Kargil war in 1999.Whenever you say the world politics, it doesn't need to trigger only bad experiences. There are myriad of people who have sacrificed their everything to make our country stand where it is right now. They deserve some respect.

What song first comes to mind when hearing the word “offspring”?

You’re Gonna Go Far Kid, by The Offspring!!I would have caps-locked and maybe tacked on another exclamation mark or two, but I reigned in my excitement as well as I could. GOD, it’s been forever since I’ve even thought about this song. I found this song while watching 90210 on 2008 (no judging, lol), and I vibed it so hard for so long, it was so — damn — catchy to me.Show me how to lieYou're getting better all the timeAnd turning all against the oneIs an art that's hard to teachAnother clever wordSets off an unsuspecting herdAnd as you get back into lineA mob jumps to their feetNow dance, fucker, danceMan, he never had a chanceAnd no one even knewIt was really only youAnd now you steal awayTake him out todayNice work you didYou're gonna go far, kidWith a thousand liesAnd a good disguiseHit 'em right between the eyesHit 'em right between the eyesWhen you walk awayNothing more to saySee the lightning in your eyesSee 'em running for their livesThese are the first few verses, and I tried to hold myself back from posting them, but I couldn’t, because ugh, I just love the energy of the storytelling in this song and I’m geeking out so hard on nostalgia. It’s edgy, it’s energetic — great!

What is the word for old people who say whatever comes to their mind when they are older, but would not say things like that when they were younger?

I get more and more like this every day. I feel a good description is “talking turkey”.A for instance:A few weeks ago we had a new starter. She’d been here a couple of weeks when the phone on the desk next to her began to ring. She didn’t pick it up. She still didn’t pick it up. So I walked around her and picked it up myself. She said to me “I wasn’t sure how to answer it”. Now I’m pretty sure she meant she didn’t know what salutation to use or what the code was to bring the call to her phone. Did I care? No.My reply was “pick the handset up, it worked for me”.I wouldn’t have said that even 5 years ago, but with every passing day I seem to lose a shit or three and have very few shits left to give.

Is there such a thing as having no filter, just saying whatever comes into your mind or is it just arrogance?

See, we have our own desire, anger, fear, liking and disliking etc. Content of the mind varies from person to person. It is sad that whatever a child learns up to age of six, it is stored inside his sub-conscious mind. Here, all are stored presently. Rest, above six, the experience, beliefs etc, are stored in conscious mind, which is possible to change.Let us examine working of mind. Say, due to some reason I got upset with a person, somehow I developed a disliking towards him, and shouted at him. I became furious because I felt he had insulted me. A thought is stored deep into the mind that such a person is not a good one, and all happening was stored in my memory.Next time, when I see him, the impression about him and the past incidence arise in my mind and occupy me. As a result, I start hating him, all that past incidence plays within.Let us say, a person had helped me in the past, when I was in a problem. I labelled him as a good person. All such events were stored in my memory. In future, when I meet him, the same incidence and my impression on him just flash in the mind. I feel so happy to meet him. That is to say, the memory projects in the mind.If you are asked a question about something you do not know, then you can not answer. It is because,, there is no knowledge is stored in your memory. Mind is just like working of a computer memory system. However, filtering is possible, if you are aware of your thoughts. That is calling watching your thoughts. Then, there will be delay in projection and your action. Because, through watching, time gap develops between them. It empowers to choose to move with thoughts or not.Watching develops with meditation.

How to be like Naomi Clark?

quotes/what to do
Random Girl: Cheating sucks.
Naomi: Where are you and why're you talking to me?

Annie: Why are cupcakes so much better than cake?
Naomi: It's the fact that you don't have to deal with birthdays. Let's face it, birthdays suck unless they're mine.

Naomi: kay guys, we have to focus. We have to work to do here. I am officially on the quest for the perfect LSD.
Silver: No, no.
Annie: I'm sorry, LSD?
Naomi: Every girl must have the perfect little sequined dress. The LSD is the most important element to a girl's wardrobe because boys like shiny things. They're kind of like babies in that regard.

Taking a hint from the LSD quote, always have gorgeous, flashy outfits that make you stand out (for the right reasons). the clothes have to be classy but flashy and noticeable at the same time. her clothes are usually high end designer, prada, gucci, versace, chanel, etc. l

Silver: You look tanner than you did yesterday. How is that possible?
Naomi: I may have gone tanning last night.

From this quote you can learn that it is important to always be tan, even if you don't live in the 90210 zipcode. But instead of tanning beds, try spray tan (don't want the "leather skin" Silver was talking about later in the episode or skin cancer).

Silver: I'd ease up on the lip gloss a little bit.
Naomi: Oh, be quiet, I look fantastic.

always be confident, it's the most important thing. whos going to believe that your gorgeous if YOU dont?
Naomi: Did you see that shirt Ivy is wearing? I wouldn't use that shirt as a rag to scrub my own bathtub.

being witty is an important characteristic of the fabulous Naomi Clark.

Silver: Is it bad we left the Shiva?
Naomi: They covered all those mirrors, which was just rude.

Adrianna: There are a lot of deserving people who can't have kids.
Naomi: I know, I saw Juno, too.

Naomi: Fortunately for you, I speak fluent Sidekick.
knowing how to text, esp. with a Sidekick...

What song plays at the end of O Holly Night?

So I was re-watching 90210 and I was wondering what song plays at the end of O Holly Night (Season 4) When Liam is on his motorcycle and Annie is calling him and saying she wants to give them another shot and then Vanessa hits him? The words are something like, "I hope it's enough. To know that your love. Close your eyes. Ooooooh Christmas is here. Oooooooh Christmas is here..." I looked up the song list for the episode and the song shown was definitely not the song that I have in mind. Anyway, thank you guys!
