What Could Be Involved In A Games Night

Have you ever been involved in a game of strip poker?

Ha...I put on extra parts...potatos are not that good at cards...LOL!!!

Do you become so involved in playing computer games that you sometimes neglect to eat, sleep, or bathe?

3 Years ago I would definitely have struggled with doing anything else than playing video games simply because after school it had become routine to do homework and them play videogames with friends, and while my parents did look that I wouldn't skip meals when they were around and bathing was necessary because it's important for me to “feel clean" and sleeping was one of the things I cheated on for a while, until my mom and dad noticed and they put an end to my night gaming. Now because I do work, I mostly wouldn't have time to play until morning hours because I work in the morning and I have noticed the true value of a good nights sleep, skipping meals is out of question (means that I can't really avoid eating as a cook... ) and bathing just like 3 years ago is more important than ever because nobody wants a smelly/filthy/stinky/dirty cook to make your food.

What are the best ideas you have used for family nights? How do you get the kids fully involved? The two children are 7 years old.

Play games of some sort. If you are looking to stay in, having the right board game makes all the difference. If you want to get out, try geocaching. I wouldn't necessarily play a board game you know really well, played a lot as a kid, and could beat them with your eyes closed. It isn't particularly fun for adults, and not every 7yr old will want to play a game they were soundly beaten in more than once if they know you’ve got a huge advantage in. Board game popularity has taken off in the past decade or so. There are now a bunch out there for everyone. Quirkle isn't exactly a boardgame but they’ll be able to grasp it quickly and hold their own against an adult the first few plays. They may not win, but they’ll be able to see the potential. Ticket to Ride is a game popular with almost everyone I've met. I hear that King of Tokyo is really popular with kids too.Geocaching is awesome as well. It is as addictive as Pokémon Go was for children and adults, but it actually takes some actual mental effort sometimes and good old fashioned hunting. It is so rewarding when you find the “treasure!”If you do want to go old school with them for an evening, try Jenga. Or, try playing with dominoes. Not the game dominoes… racing dominoes, where you set them up in patterns all over the place, knock over one, and watch them all fall over! It keeps the kids soooo focused trying to set them up, and you all get so invested in working on the same thing. We’ve also made bets on marble races on YouTube. :)

Looking to start a game night like BUNCO....any ideas for a NEW game?

if you like dice there are two schools of thought. luck or decisions or bluffing.
luck:
bunco is a game of luck so i'd suggest...
left center right (LCR) which is also a game of luck.

if however you want a game with some decisions or skill i'd suggest
farkle
yahtzee
pig

if you want to buy a game of this kind i'd suggest:
"take a chance" rules under sources
for sale online here: http://www.amazon.com/Winning-Moves-Take-A-Chance/dp/B002JSTFPM
also check out the store five below that's where i bought mine and basically it's kind of like yahtzee and monopoly fused into one.

for bluffing games try:
lair's dice
liar's poker (features dollar bills)

if however you want different games other than dice but still have luck involved i'd suggest:
bingo
pokeno (a game like bingo but with playing cards)
loteria (4x4 bingo with pictures and riddles for each image, however it's a mexican folk game so you might need to know spanish but you could just try to make your own using words/answers for the cards and questions/riddles for the announcing of the cards)
here's a link for custom bingo cards: <>http://saksena.net/partygames/bingo/>

i hope this helps you out!!!

8yr old boy wets himself while watching TV and playing Video games, doesn't care, has motivation to not do it.?

I've got an 8yr old step son that me and my husband have had for the first time over the summer. We aren't too sure about this kids issues, but a main one is that while playing video games or watching TV he'll wet himself, as well as at night. We've fixed the at night problem by cutting off fluids at 7pm and setting an alarm for him at 4:15 am, he gets up, goes to the bathroom and goes to bed, no more night time accidents. We've basically taken away all video games because he has a terrible addiction to them, and would mainly wet while playing them, but he still at this point wets while watching TV. He says that he realizes he has to pee too late to react, but he is also an avid liar and tries to take the time to think of excuses before saying anything.

He has the motivation to not do so with promises of video game time if he does good, and if he wets and doesn't tell us he gets a spanking. We don't want to take the TV away from him because there aren't any kids in the area, and he doesn't have much else available to do all day.

FYI I am not looking for criticism for how we handle this, I'm looking for advice on what this might be, and if anyone has gone through it and found a solution. His insurance isn't covered in our state, and our insurance doesn't go in effect for him until later this month, so until we can take him to a doctor, this is our temporary solution.

What horror game is best to play for night-out parties with friends?

I love this idea. But let's go through this right. You don't watch a horror movie with your buds and aim to get scared, legitimately scared that is. That's why you usually watch a crappy slasher movie and talk over it and yell at the screen. I suggest the video game equivalent. Try Resident evil 4 or 6. 4 is like the movie “Scream” and 6 is like “Jason X,” both very good party movies. 6 also has co-op.Another option is to download a bunch of free jumpscare games and switch out. This is like watching MST3K. Though you'll have to supply your own jokes.See if you can get your hands on some of the American made Silent Hill games. The Japanese ones are meant to be played alone in a dark room. Even the janky controls are designed for making the experience uncomfortable. You don't want that. The American versions added wild plot devices, un-horrorlike tight controls, and a less solitary feel. They are much better for parties. This last suggestion is for the big spenders. Get up to five copies of “Dead by Daylight” it's a 4v1 multiplayer game that is set up like a horror movie. The 4 teenagers have to hide from the killer and escape before the killer finds them and strings them up. It's good fun and multiplayer to boot but may be expensive.Hope this helps

How could I rest in between studying late at night, other than meditation and naps?

Sleep is as important as food, water or air. No one should deprive oneself of sleep at any cost except emergency situations. Staying awake late at night for studying for exam MUST be temporary for a day or so. Sleep deprivation takes a toll on one’s physical and mental health. If it is absolute essential to stay awake late at night due to emergency or final exam, then you can try to break between with a cup of tea, coffee, light snacks, a glass of water, taking a shower, walking or stretching preferably in open air, diaphragm breathing, watching TV or listening to music.Hope this helps.

Questions on white night dragon?

1. Wait... Holy mask?! You mean mirror force, which negates an attack and destroys all attack position monsters on your opponents side of the field, right? If it is, then White Night Dragon would be destroyed because mirror force does not target it. White Night Dragon's effect is that it negates spells and traps that target it.
2. Yes, you can because it is a spell card.
3. Umm... Sorry to burst your bubble but there are far more powerful cards than this. I know this card is still pretty powerful. Ex. Dark Armed Dragon, Judgement Dragon, etc.
