What happened with Brian Williams?
In February 2015 Brian Williams recanted a story he had told about being aboard a helicopter hit by RPG (rocket-propelled grenade) fire and forced to land on March 24, 2003, during the U.S. invasion of Iraq. His initial and subsequent reportings of the incident indicated that a helicopter in front of his was hit by the RPG. However, in a 2013 interview and during the NBC Nightly News broadcast on January 30, 2015 Williams inaccurately recounted the incident, stating that it was the helicopter he was on that was "hit and crippled by enemy fire". His story was soon criticized by Lance Reynolds, a flight engineer who was on board one of the three helicopters that had been attacked. Reynolds and other crew members said they were forced to make an emergency landing, and that it was a half hour to an hour later that Williams' Chinook helicopter arrived on the scene. Williams investigated the damage and interviewed crew members about the attack Several days later a 2007 videotaped interview surfaced in which Williams' retelling of the helicopter incident also differs from the recollections of on-site military personnel. Williams said in the interview, "... I looked down the tube of an RPG that had been fired at us, and it hit the chopper in front of us." The statement varies with the recollections of crew on the helicopter that sustained RPG damage, that it arrived at its landing site at least a half hour in front of Williams' craft, making it impossible for Williams to "look down the tube" of the RPG that damaged the other helicopter. On the February 4 broadcast of Nightly News, Williams apologized, stating that he “made a mistake in recalling the events of 12 years ago,” and extended his respect and apology to the "brave men and women in the air crews who were also in the desert.” Some military veterans and commentators challenged Williams' assertion that he had made an innocent mistake. NBC News President Deborah Turness announced on February 6 that there would be an internal investigation into Williams' Iraq reporting.[30] The following day Williams announced that he would stop doing his daily Nightly News broadcast for "the next several days."
Why do police always take the side of a woman over a man?
My girlfriend and I were staying in a hotel. When we came back we were both drunk and got into a fight. I said some bad stuff and then my girlfriend hit me and i defended myself. The police arrived and asked what happened and we told them. The police handcuffed and arrested me and I spent the night in jail. Neither of us should have been arrested but why is it they always assume the man is the one who is at fault? Will this arrest for domestic violence show up on my record even if it the charges get dropped?
Dented my parents car, need advice!?
Okay so I was driving down a narrow street when I saw a construction site up ahead and the road was blocked off. I had to do a k turn in order to turn around, and although I was being very careful, I began to run over the rocks and flowers on one side of the road and subsequently backed into a rock wall trying to avoid the flowers...My head hit the windshield, which gives you an idea of the magnitude at which I crashed. (I was going very slow so I'm not even sure how it hit that hard) I've only had my license for a few months now so I'm not a very experienced driver. Anyway, I continued to drive home, and because I had to take a different route, got a little lost, the entire time thinking about how bad the damage could be to the back of my PARENT's car. When I arrived home, I saw a dent below the tail light. It wasn't as bad as I would have thought, but it's definitely noticeable, and the paint is messed up. I'm not one to hide things, so I immediately went to my mother and told her everything, crying hysterically the entire time. She told me it was okay and things like this happen, but I still feel awful. This happened two hours ago and I still can't stop crying. I want to pay for it, but I don't know if my parents would even want me to. I only have like 100 dollars, but even if I saved up enough, I don't know if I could ever feel less guilty about this. I can't imagine ever getting back into a car and driving again I'm so scared. I hope I don't seem too dramatic, I'm just very upset about what happened and would appreciate listening to some similar stories or any advice you may have.
What can I do when I receive an empty box from Flipkart?
I also received a empty box. I ordered redmi note 4 (Rs12999) from their app and it took a lot of time for the delivery. Usually, at my location, all sites delivered the products in 2–3 days. But flipkart delivered it in 6 days that too empty box. When I registered the complaint, they said they will look into matter and solve. Till now, 6 days are over and no call or email from flipkart. They don't help their customers, they just want make profit by cheating the customer. My order number is OD109384513739303000. And I'm not doing this to defame the company, but to make you guys alert and sure that if you order somethingand get empty box, then your money is wasted.
What category of Hurricane would you evacuate your home in?
Depends on what kind of home you live in. With that said, I have never evacuated my house because of a hurricane, and I've been through every storm that hit FL since the early 90's. If you live in a trailer home, you should evacuate with a 2 or higher.
