What Degree To Pick For University

Sims 2 - how to use a university degree for careers?

Hmmmm. If you have university there should be four new careers available...Artist, Natural Scientist, Show Business and Paranormal. If your Sim has an Arts degree he should get a job in the Artist, Culinary, or Slacker careers.
If you have spent a couple of days checking jobs in the paper and on the computer and none of the new careers shows up (sometimes it does take a few days for all the careers to be rotated) you might want to consider using a modding tool such as the Insimenator which has a section called the career adjuster which you can use to get your sim his/her job of choice.http://www.insimenator.net/ It's free to download but you must register first. A few notes on the career adjuster option and what it can allow you to do:
• Select Career... - Select any career track, Maxis careers and custom careers.
• Set Level... - Set your sims career to any level.
• Quit job - Have your sim quit their job.
• Retirement (teens/adults/elders) - Have your sim Retire (includes the available benefits).
• Unlock all Awards - Unlock all Career Awards.
• Add or subtract vacation days - Self explanatory.
• Job performance (Set level Positive/Negative) - Set a sims job performance to any desired level.
• Job performance.../Maximum level - maximize a sim's job performance level.

Edit: thanks S2P, I forgot that you can't find the new careers in the paper. You need the computer only. Good 1.

How do I pick my university?

Graduate or undergraduate? Completely different criteria.Your undergraduate education is the last time you can get enthusiastic help in your search for things you love to do so much they’re not “work”; but few universities have a real commitment to Liberal Education, because they are under tremendous pressure from parents, politicians and governments to pretend they can make you “employable”. So choose wisely.Graduate school, on the other hand, is effectively “trade school” — it is where you learn to actually do things at a professional level. Things requiring advanced knowledge. Things you discovered you loved as an undergraduate.

What is the best undergraduate degree to pick from a university before studying law?

I know of people that got degrees in English, business, and psychology. I don’t think there is a “ best degree.” I think it’s like medicine, where you can have an undergraduate degree in anything. What is important is understanding how you learn, having critical-thinking skills, being disciplined, having all of the pre-requisites done to be able to apply to school and stuff like this. Before you go to law school, it would also be helpful to know what you want to do with the degree, where you might want to work, and what those employers look for. Depending on what country you live in (like the U.S.), it might be hard to find a job because the legal field has been over-saturated for a while now.

Which degree should I pick?

Aloha!

Actually, a scuba instructor can get a lot of jobs. Also, a lot of PADI scuba classes count for college credit (see link below).

As a scuba instructor you can get a job in just about any resort community in the world. Having other skills like marketing or a captain's license can get you higher pay.

Being a scuba instructor is a fun, fun job and you'll meet all kinds of interesting people - maybe make some good job connections.

What's the difference between a BSc and HBSc university degree?

I got accepted into University of Toronto and they have told me to pick which degree I wish to pursue. The options are BSc and HBSc. The program which I have been accepted into is Psychology with a major in Genetics and Neurobiology. I know what a BSc degree is. What exactly is a HBSc degree? Which one is better?

Did you pick your major or university first?

As an academic, I want students who are keen on my subject.  However many come from school thinking they like the subject, when in fact it was the teacher they liked.  Fortunately this is not a problem for chemical engineering as it is for English or History.  If you can limit your choice to an area, there are some places which offer a common first year (e.g. in engineering) with a choice of which speciality later.  This particularly occurs in Scotland.Picking the university first seems to be an American obsession counting status more than content.  Even UK students who want to go to Oxbridge are usually focussed on the subject.  However within Europe (which includes the UK) there is a tendency for poorer students to try for the nearest university, so that they can live at home, and choose from the selection available there.

Can you apply for two different degrees at the same university, and pick the one you get accepted in?

It depends upon the university, but you can make the decision as to what you want to study now and keep the other degree as a backup. I think you can only apply for one, but a good strategy to keep both doors open is to take courses that will meet the general education requirements. Be sure to stock up on those courses, but also take 1–2 courses in your freshman year concerning your major. From there, you get to decide from a snapshot if this major is the right one for you. And even if you end up switching to the second degree, then you at least have some general education requirements met, and those courses you took towards your first degree can count as electives for your second degree. One piece of advice to keep in mind is to keep a great relationship with your guidance counselor in college when balancing out your first degree with your second degree. That is your lifeline to planning out your course selection to graduate on time. You can also have that counselor as a resource when looking into internships. A lot of the times when you have questions regarding the first or second degree, your counselor can offer some sound advice on it. If you don't find the counselor helpful, either ask to be transferred to another one, or you can speak with department heads or professors for both degrees to learn about the field. Hope this helps!

What about Breyer State University PRE-MED degree online?

Breyer State is not an accredited school. It alleges that it is, but it is not accredited by one of the seven authorities recognized by the US Department of Education. That means that any coursework done at Breyer cannot be transferred to an accredited school.

There are accredited schools that do offer online courses. For example, the state of Georgia offers a program it calls eCore that does have an entire premed program that can be taken online and those credits will transfer to a 4 year school within Georgia.
