What Did A Anabaptists Do In The Martin Luther Trial Why Were They There

Martin Luther Trial Prosecution?

Pardon: You do not say whether your witnesses will be cross examined afterwards. If your witnesses are weak, they can be destroyed on cross examination.

You need to Google a confidential adviser to your legal group. He is Dr. John Eck. He actually debated Luther's followers in the 16th Cent. and scored some points off them. He will guide you in asking your questions.

Pope Leo X is a weak witness for you and easily destroyed. He was one of the Medici and venal.

John Tetzel is worse than Leo X. It was he who was selling indulgences and whom Luther criticized.

I don't know how Ignatius of Loyola can help you. Maybe he can. I'm sure that Thomas More cannot. Are you allowed to say, "No questions for this witness." Because if there has been no direct examination of the witness, the other side is not allowed to cross examine him.

Im doing a mock trial for martin luther(not king)i have to ask 2 questions to the witnesses what should i ask?

These people with the exception of Erasmus hardly need a trial, they're so vocative of their own teachings

Catholic Inquisition trial:
To Luther, Calvin: Do you accept Lord Jesus Christ is truly present in the Holy Eucharist, body blood soul and divinity, and the substance of bread and wine truly ceased to be after the consecration?
To Jan Hus: Do you accept the consecrated bread contains the body blood soul and divinity of Jesus Christ, and communion under the single species of bread is enough for laymen? and an evil person (who accepts all dogmas nevertheless) is still a member of the Church?
To Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn: Do you accept Christian marriage is truly a sacrament instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ, and can't be dissolved? and the Roman Pontiff has jurisdiction over the whole Church?
Erasmus is more soft than heretical.

Below are the historical sentence against Jan Hus from Council of Constance, which you may use as a reference
"This holy synod therefore pronounces the said John Hus, on account of the aforesaid and many other matters, to have been a heretic and it judges him to be considered and condemned as a heretic, and it hereby condemns him. It rejects the said appeal of his as harmful and scandalous and offensive to the church's jurisdiction..."

Is my paper on martin luther accurate and good?

Here are some facts see if they match up with yours OK

Martin Luther's Life

The character of Luther's writings and speeches as well as his relationship to his environment changed drastically during his lifetime. Luther's life can be divided into four major phases.
--------------------------------------...
The first phase of Luther's life which encompasses his childhood, university studies and his time as an Augustinian monk is characterized by his search for religious understanding. Luther was living as a university professor in Wittenberg at this time.
--------------------------------------...
When he finally reached the understanding he was searching for, he realizes that there are many problems in the world and the church. He rebels against the abuses of the church and his actions spark strong reactions.
--------------------------------------...
Luther hides at the Wartburg on the orders of his Elector, Frederick the Wise. The Reformation has caught on with some of the most powerful people and is unstoppable. Luther is able to return to Wittenberg to fight his adversaries and put his ideas into practice.
--------------------------------------...
During the last years of his life, Luther is no less active, but resignation and an inclination towards sudden outbursts of rage can be seen in the works and speeches of the aging reformer.

Who were the Christian humanists and how did they differ from protestant reformers?

I am a confessional Lutheran, a member of a Lutheran Church Canada Congregation, affiliated with, and maybe more conservative than Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. The official Conservative Lutheran view is still exactly as Luther stated. However belief in "perpetual virginity", "The immaculate conception" and "The Assumption" are not necessary for salvation. Faith in Christ alone (sola fide) is all that is needed. While not even close to Scripture, Anne Rice puts forth a plausible explanation in support of "The Perpetual Virginity" in her novel "Christ the Lord Out of Egypt". Read it. A good story, and inspirational, but remember that it is just a novel, not WORD OF GOD! In LCC/LCMS The Feast of St. Mary, Mother of our Lord is celebrated on August 15th. For interest sake the Feast of St. Joseph, Guardian of our Lord is kept on March 19th. These are Commemorations, not Venerations. These dates are taken from "The Lutheran Service Book" "The Church Year", pages X , XI. Other commemorations (Saints Days if you like) are listed on pages XII, and XIII. Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1

What are some historical events (can be worldwide) tied to any Protestant denomination?

Invention of the Gutenberg printing press. First book printed -- Holy Bible -- making it available to the common man for the first time. Reformation/doctrinal breakaway from Catholicism.

Separation from Catholicism by Martin Luther who defiantly tacked his 95 point thesis to the Catholic church door at Worms, Germany, leading to his excommunication. -- Lutheran Church.

Separation from Lutheranism by followers of Zwingli (Lutheranism was too conservative) -- Anabaptists.

Separation of Baptists from Anabaptists (Anabaptists were too conservative) -- Baptist Church.

Separation of Baptists into Southern Baptists, American Baptists -- (either too conservative or not conservative enough).

Assorted European monarchy redistribution, wars, skirmishes, and religious persecutions which followed each movement.

Denominational schisms seem to be the Christian's trademark. IF you believe in such denominational hogwash, that is.
