What Do Employees At Tj Maxx And Marshalls Wear To Work

What do employees at tj maxx and marshalls wear to work?

Usually I see female employee wearing a solid black t-shirt with jeans and a male just wearing like a plaid collar shirt or something like that, nothing too fancy or uniform.

Why are Ross, TJ Maxx, and Marshall's employees so RUDE?

I noticed that every time i am in one of these stores, in any given location, the employee's are horrible. The #1 thing that bothers me is that when the store is closing, they harrass you to get out! If the store is closing at 9 and you get there at 8:20, you will hear "We close in 40 minutes" followed by a dirty look and stare down. You will also be reminded of the time they close at least 4 times in that 40 minutes by both, the intercom and every single employee that you encounter. The store closes at 9:00, therefore customers can shop until 9:00. A good business owner would deny all customers from entering after 9:00, but allow the customers in the store at least 20 minutes to wrap things up. The employees need to understand that the store closes at 9:00, they do not get to leave at 9:00. I work at a restaurant that closes at 4, never would i assume i will be walking out the door at 4. I take orders until 4, then clean and finish up my side work by 5....not because i am a nice person, but because the restaurant closes at 4 and that is my job position! If they want us out at 9...close the store at 8-8:30. You are lucky to have a job! You all deserve to be fired. My question is, is this a company policy to "harass" customers until they leave your store, or unqualified rude workers?

If a TJ Maxx/Marshalls employee is stocking shelves and sees something they want to buy, could they buy it or would they have to wait?

The employee could put the item on hold and then purchase it when they go on break. If the employee wants to put something on hold for longer than the end of the work day, they will have to get a manager to sign the hold ticket. Otherwise, they only need a signature from a Coordinator.

Do the tj maxx or marshalls employees wear a uniform?

i dont really shop there and the last time i went there was a long time. i was thinking about applying there as a sales associate/cashier and i was just wondering what they wear

Which do you like the best and why: Ross, TJ Maxx or Marshalls?

Well I did like Ross until one night my wife and I went in to go shop. I had just cashed my bonus check for that year so we had around $1400. My wife put the cash in her purse. We did our usual browsing, my wife tried on a couple jackets and picked a few things. When we got up to the counter with our stuff in the buggy, the cashier scanned everything and told us the price but we couldn't find her purse. It wasn't in the buggy! I went out and looked in the car but still nothing. We remembered she had it on her shoulder while she was trying on clothes but set it down when she tried on the jackets. So we went and looked everywhere in the store and still nothing. At this point it was our fault. She put it down and forgot to pick it up.This is what pissed me off. We asked the manager if they could look back on the cameras and see if someone took it but apparently with Ross they don't care what happens to customers in the store just if something happens to them. They told us they don't look at the cameras unless some steals something from them. This isn't just a store policy but a corporate one. If we want them to look at them we would have to get a court order and by then it Woodbridge happen anyway. So here we are standing in Ross my wife is crying, mostly cause of the cash, and Simone in that store had my wife's purse and there's nothing we can do about it.I decide to call the cops. When they show up they confirm that this company doesn't care what happens to their customers. They've had problems with them before. So we file a police report for the cash, cards and my wife's iPhone and we leave not knowing what to do.Thankfully we left our number with the manager and while we were gone she looked around one more time. She called us and tolds usshe had found it.Someone had put it in a buggy by the back door in a suspicious spot.I checked in the bag when I got there and believe it or not all the cash was still there but they had taken the Iphone. It was in the side pocket so it was easy pickings. I wasn't to worried about that because we had insurance and got a new phone. So we will never go to Ross again. Not because of the staff or for losing my wife's purse but the fact this this big corporation didn't care what happens in their stores as long as it isn't listing them money

Anyone worked at tj maxx, ross, marshalls?

I manage an AJ Wright store which is controlled by the same corporation which controls TJ Maxx and Marshalls. The companies all basically run the same, we just have different price points. As a manager, I look for employees who are working, not socializing with co-workers, friends or family who come in to shop. There are a million things to do everyday, from flowing new merchandise out of the back room onto the sales floor, picking clothes (toys, towels, rugs, etc) up off the floor which customers knock/throw down, taking returns back to the floor from the fitting rooms and service desk, filling features, sizing the clothes in each dept (making sure all smalls are with smalls, mediums with mediums, etc), categorizing clothes (sweaters with sweaters, knits with knits, jeans with jeans, etc.) straightening tables (and filling them when necessary), helping dept coordinators do floor resets, running register - both front end and layaway (we try to keep lines to 3 or less customers; more and you're supposed to open new registers) and helping customers who ask for assistance. Its not rocket science so it won't be hard to learn. After a week, you'll know all the dept numbers and then you'll start becoming familiar with the different categories, etc. Most new hires learn register the first week and believe me, its easy. We all have touch screen registers, so if you can read, you will know what to do next just by reading the screen. With all that to do, you'll have no problem keeping busy. The people who get in trouble are the ones who are socializing and using their cell phones on the sales floor, usually trying to text their friends. If you have any questions about what to do, or how to do something, ask either the manager on duty, a dept coordinator or any longer term associate. Do it right the first time. You'll save people the trouble of having to go back and fix it if you just "wing it" or are just too lazy to do it right. Good luck.

What is the employee discount at TJ Maxx?

10% off normally. about every 3 months employees get 20% off. it's the same at marshalls && a j wright also.

Can you transfer from Marshalls to TJMaxx?

Hello. I currently work at Marshalls and I recently moved houses so now I'm farther away from where I work. I am closer to TJMaxx though. Would I be able to transfer stores, since they're sister stores?

Can you return an item to TJ Maxx you purchased from Marshall's?

No, as stated previously, despite being owned by the same company, the stores do not use the same POS system. Because the system isn't cross compatible the Marshall's item won't show up in the TJ Maxx system. For future reference, you can return Homegoods items to TJ Maxx, those systems are cross compatible because the TJX companies operates combination Homegoods/Maxx stores.

Do they sell Marc by Marc Jacobs at Marshalls or TJ Maxx?

I work at Marshall's, and we do from time to time get these in. It also depends on which location store you go too.
