What Do Gaming Headsets Do

Why do gaming headsets hurt my left ear?

Random and obscure, but I can't find any information anywhere else on this matter and I need some answers. It's so bizarre, I had a pair of crappy turtle beach x11's that I used for gaming on my PC and they would constenly make my left ear hurt. I concluded that it was because it had broken and I had to tape the headphone to the headset to keep it on so naturally the bad quality led me to conclude they where the cause.

I have upgraded to a pair of Corsair Vengence 1500's and I love them infinitely better but I find it very strange that I am still getting the irritating pain in my left ear. It's not excruciating or anything but it's enough to cause me bother while I'm trying to game. Can anybody please explain to me what is causing this? I would be very greatful.

tl;dr - Gaming headsets make my left ear hurt and I don't know why.

Will gamestop buy gaming headsets?

Gamestop is so ripped off. I tried returning my ODST yesterday and they wouldn't even want it back. They said i won't get a full refund and they said all i can do is a trade in or i can just sell it back to them for $30. I bought that game about $60 and i am only getting half of what i paid? AND there policy says that if we bought a game and if it didn't pass 7 days i can still return it for a full refund. They don't want it because they said it is brand new and the polict only works for used games. Whats even more bullsht is that wouldn't my game consider as used? since i opened and played it? And they also said "We have the right to refuse any return items and trade ins" You can try return it, you'll probably get less than what you paid for then when they get the game they'll sell it in a high price behind your back.

What are some good gaming headsets?

I have had fab experiences with the Speedlink Medusa 5.1 surround sound headset. Amazing sound with many speakers inside the cases which provide REAL surround sound plus subwoofer. The microphone is also very good with noise reduction. Highly reccommend!

Priced around £50-60

Should i get a gaming headset?

If you play with friends than yes. Go on Amazon and get the x12s. They should be about $25. (most people say used but they come in new) well worth it if you play games like GTAV, Battlefield,COD,Gears,Halo...... you get the idea. you can hear way more things with them.
and dont listen to that guy with the kinect idea.... If you have every played with anyone using it you know that nobody likes playing with them because it sounds like they are in a fking tunnel, and you will just piss everyone off that you play with. Plus with the headset you HEAR things. here ill give you a link to what i have. Iv used the X-12 for 2 years no problems. Most people buy shitty ones and replace them every other month.

Do gaming headsets actually make a difference?

I don't use a headset when I play on my computer because I never end up needing one. Except when I skype with my friend, he can always hear the background noises coming from my computer (built-in fan, typing, music when I'm listening). Would me getting a gaming headset with a built-in mic make a difference? It would be using the headset's mic, obviously, in stead of my built-in laptop mic.

You didn't mention what your budget is.So, I would recommend the following Gaming headphones with prices in the increasing order.Steelseries Siberia V/1 Full Size Headset:Price: $35.Steelseries Siberia Full-Size V2 Headset:Price: $100.SteelSeries Siberia V2 Frost Wired Headset:Price: $166.Steelseries H Wireless Gaming Headset:Price: $380. :PYou can notice that the circumference of the ear piece of all the above headphones is very large and hence the cushions go around the ears onto the head so that the ears don't get pushed on. Personally, I recommend SteelSeries for Gaming accessories. I use Steelseries Siberia V/1 Full Size Headset (White)

Here I have given the answer for your question and to find more details visit here.If one is going headphone shopping, the choices in the market might be confusing. It is important to note right at the beginning that comfort and sound quality should be prioritised over everything else.Gaming HeadphonesLet us begin with the gaming headphones. There are a lot of companies manufacturing what are fancied headphones for giving one the ultimate gaming experience. Manufacturers include HyperX, Razer, Turtle Beach, Steelseries and many more. When we say Real surround sound it means that there are actual hardware or drivers in each of the headphones both on the left and right to give you an experience of multiple channels. That means, the drivers coordinate to give the brightest and as close to real surround sound as possible. On the other hand, virtual surround sound is created using software either in the headphone or on the computer to emulate the surround experience.Consumer HeadphonesThere are ones with call controls, wireless, Bluetooth etc. They also come in all colours, sizes and can fit apparel as well as glasses of the user. All kinds of preferences can find their choice. For instance, there are some who might prefer a warm base and a full body midrange. Others might prefer tighter base with more emphasis on the treble.

For online gaming and only that, i would use a pair of good headphones ( I have ath-m30x, they're good. ) and a modmic since they're pretty good. The "surround sound" thing is bullshit anyway. You have two ears, you need two speakers, no more, no less. I can tell you, I have a blue snowball microphone and without a dedicated arm for it, my space on the desk is pretty limited, because the mic has to be close to mouth, so it's usually between my right and left hand, just in front of me. Now, if you're just gaming for 1 hour daily, this might not be a problem, but I play for whole days, so I need to eat something in front of my monitor, too. And with the blue snowball in front of me, I don't have space for anything to eat.

Is wearing a gaming headset in public weird?

I go to college and I prefer headphones over the ear because they double as earmuffs in the winter and have good sound quality. I have a $70 Turtle Beach headset with a microphone with amazing quality. However I'm unsure if it's too weird wearing them. I honestly don't feel like spending another $60 for a "public approved" headphones. Don't say ear buds because I hate them lol. Opinions?

What can I do so my new gaming headset s microphone can work?

Your Asus laptop has a "COMBO" jack for a SINGLE audio plug that has 4 CONTACTS---tip, ring, ring, sleeve. Your Redragon headset has 3 plugs. One is for USB lights etc. The one for headset is 3 CONTACTS--tip, ring, and sleeve. The one for microphone has 3 CONTACTS for some reason---tip, ring and sleeve. Most have only two.
Your "splitter" is all wrong. It has 3 CONTACTS on plug, and 3 contacts on each socket. That is for 2 headphones, not a single headset with microphone. The phone is like the laptop. Splitter is junk for you.
You need an adapter, not a splitter. The correct one has a 4 CONTACT plug and marked repeat MARKED sockets for the headphones and for the microphone. Get one. Not expensive. Maybe Redragon sells the correct adapter just for their headset since your microphone seems to be on a special plug.
