What Do I Get For My First Tattoo

How old were you got your first tattoo?

18 and after i got it i told myself i would never get any more. that really didn't happen i have 3 more now. once you start it's hard to stop.

At what age did you get your first tattoo?

well i got my first one at 18 and still dont regret it..then again im still 18 so hasnt hit me yet..but I like it and its able to cover up..rather big though

but its important to me I went 10 years without seeing my cousin and out of nowhere she came to spend time with me and we went and got it together..

it means something to me

Im sure when im older ill probably think i should have got something with more meaning but I try not to regret to many things.

At what age did you get your first tattoo?

I started pretty early, must’ve been around 17. I’m sure I had an ID that said I was 18, but I had that one since I was 13.I remember my father saying no to a tattoo because I was still a minor and under his responsibility and as long as I was “his property” (he said it in a humorous way) I was not getting a tattoo.I remember deciding I would get it first and let it heal before showing them, so I wouldn’t get all the “it’s gonna get infected” bs. So I did.I remember a few weeks later saying to my father, I’ll soon be 18 and then I get to have my tattoo cause I’m not your responsibility anymore right? To which he replied, “you still live in my house, eat my food, I pay for your university, your clothes and your computer, it’s sounds to me like minor or not, you’re still my responsibility. No tattoo”I spent the next four years or so hiding my tattoos from my parents like my life depended on it.I got 9 during these four years, but they were tiny and low quality cause I had to keep them hidden and cause I had to save up for them without anyone noticing a change in my expenses.I loved them back then, now I’m getting them covered up for better looking ones and ones that work with the body of curvy adult woman.I think I pulled the trigger a little early.

What was your first tattoo and what do you think about it now in retrospect? What was the tattoo? On which body part did you get it? Did you regret it later? If yes, why? Any suggestions for someone who is about to get his first tattoo?

My first tattoo is that of a flying bird- 5 images of a flying bird. I love this tattoo becauseI got it done out of an upsurge of spontaneity.I got it done after getting married and this is the first time I knew my husband is as non compos mentis as me.The birds that fly, it symbolises movement and energy and the possibility of soaring into the air, above any hurdle. The sky is the limit.I got it done on the eve of my job interview.I got it done on my forearm. After getting it done, it has become a ritual to flaunt my tattoo with my forearm as the focus. :P Getting it done on the eve of the interview wasn't planned. I didn't even think if I would be denied the job for this sole reason.Though it was a spontaneous decision, I have never regretted for getting it done. I did get the same job I was interviewed for, the next day. Everyday, I'm proud for having got inked and I love my forearm! <3About those who are planning to get it done, do it! I won't say that it is free of pain, but then it is worth it. It is pretty addictive and I have been thinking of my next tattoo the moment I got this done. Moreover, a tattoo is the only thing you take to your grave. Loyal, huh! :DAnother picture...

Where should I get my first tattoo inked?

If it’s a small tattoo as you say, you shouldn’t really select a body part based on your tolerance to pain. A good tattoo artist, besides being good on the artistic side, is also pretty good when it comes to hygiene, technique and applying local anesthesia. So if you go to a really good tattooist who knows what he’s doing, you may not feel a lot of pain because he would have numbed the area good enough. If you really want to get a tattoo on your wrist, go ahead and do it. Just don’t hold onto your purse strings while getting a tattoo. Go for the best in your city, the one who’s recommended by a lot of people. Not only will you get a beautiful tattoo, you’d not run the risk of contracting an infection and you wouldn’t feel much pain. I know this because when I was getting inked, the first time my tattooist pricked me with his needle, I couldn’t believe that was all the pain I was going to feel. It was milder than a pinch. He had applied this numbing gel well enough.

What to expect for my first tattoo?

Before they like others mentioned
clean the spot disinfect it yatta yatta yatta put the spencil on ask if its good with you if not they move it to where your happy. and then they give you a lil test run well mine did and then you'll start.
i got mine on my left shoulder blade. didn't bother me was just annoying feeling like someone was writting on me with a pen really lol. ironic isn't it lol
after they let u see ask if u wanna show any one and then ointment you up bandage you good and then tell you ur rules

no sun no submerging your tattoo in water. no baths no pools deff not the ocean. no scented lotions soaps no picking at scabs or it could rip out ink or cause craters in your skin or your tattoo dnt peel the skin when its peeling it will fall off. dnt itch it at all. my artist said "Baby your boo boo" (<--- exact quote) apply your lotion or vasaline or your tattoo cream whatever your using either given to u recommended to u or instructed by ur artist a few times a day for the first few days. make sure it gets air the moer air the more quickly it will heal (rule with all open wounds) its like a wound like any other cut on your body it can get infected. so take care of it

when you shower no bath u can use hot water with non scented soap an or mild soap and then when your done rinse in cold icy lovely feeling water and it will close the pores trapping the ink in before it can run out of those lovely babies on your body!! lol

it will itch dnt itch it
i stole the technique of how people slap their hair when they have a itch in their weave i was tap the spot extremely lightly so it could still get the itch away . ]

color takes longer to heal then all black tattoos.

And have fun its quiet addictive.
i got my first one 3 weeks ago. im already looking for money for my 2nd and third ones
