How much money should I save up before I run away?
Don't try to talk me out of it. I have no family, and my parents abandoned me when I was 6. Nothing holding me back. I'm just going to leave with my bass and a pack of cigarettes. What would be a good amount of money to save up before leaving?
Let’s say you wanted to run away from home, how would you do it?
First I would wait for a few months. I’d try to collect money somehow, maybe by asking my dad for random things I need to get or telling him I need to go out with my friends and deal with whatever he allows me very economically.This waiting will also give me a chance to re-think my decision and make sure it's rational, not an impulsive choice. It also holds the possibility that things will turn around and this drastic step is unnecessary.Then I would tell someone in my family. (Depending on my reason for running away, either my sister, my older brother or my mom. I wouldn't run away for some stupid reason like “Oh my GOSH my mom yelled at me she must hate me!!!!”)If for some reason I can't tell them, I'd leave a note telling everyone I'm okay and not to worry. I'd also keep my phone with me and call every once in a while so no one freaks out. I'll make sure I call far away from where I'm staying so I'm not traced and found.During those months before I leave, I'll also get food that will last like honey, dried fruits, crisps, biscuits and canned stuff plus loads of water. I'd take the hiking bag to carry everything in. I'd also take a blanket, some needles, cellophane wrap, bandages, tape, a knife, a torch, a potato charger setup ( to charge my phone without an electrical socket) matches, cream and of course soap, my toothbrush, hairbrush and clothes.I would also take my school books. There is no way on Earth I'll discard my education. And they'll give me something to do all day.I'd watch a lot of survival videos of course and learn how to recognize edible plants in my area, set up traps, build a shelter, etc.I would then get a map and plan where I'm going (somewhere solitary and hidden where no one goes, but not too far from civilization) and the safest route.Then I would sneak out of the house and I would run.
Can the police track your phone if you run away?
Yes they can track you by your cell phone though the cell phone will only give them a general idea of where you are located based up on which cell tower your phone picks up. New smart phone have built in GPS systems making it possible to get within 10 feet of your location. Not suspected of doing anything? Hmm, as long as you are a minor your parents are responsible for you both legally and financially so if they report you as missing, you have done something and the police will use any means available to them to locate you. If you plan on running away, plan on leaving the cell phone at home, this will of course make it more difficult to call them when you decide to come back home. Do not contact any of your friends after you leave, they would become a party to your actions and if they are under 18, their parents can be sued and they can be charged with aiding and abetting. When you leave you are on your own, I know, I ran away when I was 13 (50 years ago) and it took them more than a week to find me.
How much money do you need to runaway from home?
Hi, i am 14 years old. I know running away from home at this age is considered crazy but trust me i've been saving up since i was 10-11. My dad and mum got divorced and my dad lives in another province and i'm stuck with my abusive mother and siblings. They tell me i'm useless and beat me. I don't wanna call children's helpline like, lets be honest..They'll just throw me into an orphanage, witch i don't want. I just wanna run away for about 2 weeks and come back, I just wanna give my mom a taste of what it would feel like to have your child missing. I have a crazy amount of savings money, I just wanna take a cab to a close by city and maybe rent out a room from a motel/hotel. Just for 2 weeks. Don't take this as a joke please.
