Why do kids look so old in high school movies? Can't they find high school aged kids to act?

While some people were fantastic actors at a really young age (Anna Paquin) most get better with age. Therefore, a 22 year old actor is much more likely to have serious acting chops than a 15 year old actor.Famous names and faces fill seats, and it’s hard to get famous at a really young age. If you want someone to be the lead in your high school movie or tv series, it’s better to have a household name in order to draw in more crowds. An actor in their early 20s who has been in a few movies is more likely to have a reputation than one in their mid-teens. Many people actually build a reputation by playing high school-ers, and may play a high school student from age 15 to 25 in different roles.
Why do some kids in high school look down on other kids like they are popular or "higher than others" with their big egos?
Cus they stupid. Period! don’t let them get to you bra and get your grades because I failed to do that, don’t let the same happen for you.

What happens to these "Nerdy" kids in high school?
I think the reason those people end up dressing well and doing well it because of their teen years. While the popular kids are busy trying to look cool and get into each others pants, the nerds are studying. While the popular kids looked cool in high school (and we all know how trends look years later... ) nerds were busy wearing dress pants, and button down shirts. They didn't start dressing better just cause they got older... it's just those kind of clothes were corny at 15. But now they're rocking it. That's why girl often hear from their elders that they should date the nerds... cause one day... they will be darned snazzy :D

I think it is how they dress, there personality, who they hang with, their looks, the amount of girls or boyfriends they get and if they play sports
Does looks in high school matter?
As a high schooler, I can attest to the fact that looks do play an important role. I love fashion and looking nice, but I don't judge people for how they look. It's shallow and a lot of the people I'm friends with have bigger hearts, than the people who care more about looks.It matters to some, but it doesn't matter to others. High school is a time where everyone slowly grows out of the awkward middle school phase and when people start experimenting with their look.
What grades do high schools look at? I'm in 8th grade and my grades are not so good so I'm just wondering.?
Well if your school is anything like my school was then no matter what your grades are, you'll still graduate...heck, kids at my school who always skipped, got suspended and were doing really poorly still graduated from grade 8 and got to go to high school...the only way that you may have a difficult time getting into high school is if you are applying to one of those "genius" schools...and as far as universities go, most just look at your grade 11 and 12 marks as well as community involvement/extracurricular's i would suggest taking applied math and science courses when you get to high school though...they'll go at a slower pace than the academic classes making it a little easier for you....this of course is unless you're able to pull your marks back up, then just do what you think would be best for you :) p.s. soo don't stress yourself...if you feel like you're really struggling, get a tutor or request extra help sessions from your teacher
