What should I do on New Years' Eve?
I'm 23 and I live in London. I don't really have any friends because most people are a****les and I can't get along with them, and they don't like me. I spent last NYE at my gf's house as her family were having a party, but I'm no longer with her. The year before that I was still living with my parents and I was focusing on university so I didn't go out much, so I probably stayed in. Anyway this is the first New Year's Eve for me since I've been living on my own and single and I don't know what to do. I don't know of any New Years' parties that people I know are putting on. Where can I go where I'm likely to have a good time and possibly find a girl to make out with? Or should I just go to bed early on NYE and forget about it?

How did you spend your New Year's Eve?
I spent New Year's Eve with my dear friend in one Belgrade cafe:). It was great, with a lot of music and dancing, joyful and cheering. The only downside was a taxi problem on the way back home, since it was a very cold winter night in Belgrade, but we managed to handle this somehow. It was one of the joy-est New Year's Eve in the last couple of years. Best wishes for 2008!
What to do for new years Eve if I have no friends?
I feel the same way you do. I am two years younger than you, 16 and i live in rural southern spain with my parents alone, with no friends and no other family or people we know. I am staying stuck in..in a freezing house which isn't even ours with my parents. I asked a similar question last night about this & a man answered telling me he is spending new years at the accident and emergency again fixing up drunks who have hurt themselves or got into fights whilst his wife and her friends are out at parties, he reminded me that new year isn't just about getting drunk and making a mess of yourself and i should reflect on the year and celebrate it knowing there is a whole new year coming ahead of me. He said there are many more to come when i am older and i will have friends and one day perhaps a family to celebrate it. Same goes to you. There are many people who are alone and won't be doing anything. It is just another night passing by, nothing different...everyone is made to believe it is such a big thing and everyone wants to be having fun like everyone else, i did too but its just because lots of people are. All those will wake up with a stinking hangover the next day though. Don't be too hard on yourself. Before you know it, it will be all over and everyone will get on with their normal lives. In the UK, a girl went missing for 10 days and she was found dead on christmas day, strangled and dumped in the woods. Her parents and long term boyfriend can't see their futures without her. People like us complaning about things like this...eh. You will make friends in time, proper ones who you will have proper fun with. You don't need to be in the crowd making a mess of yourself... they get so drunk they can't even remember it. Small occasions are the most memorable. You will have plenty time for the other stuff in the many years you have to come, you should treasure these years the most before you move along. I am in too much of a rush too lol. Fun things to do on New years eve?
1)Hang out.. have fun. 2)go to wal*mart or some where and get like poppers and stuff and have fun with those. 3)If your state allows them for New Year then, goto a fireworks stand and get firework or like some sparklers 4)Rent some good movies.(get horrors so u guys will be able to keep from falling to sleep!!... i do that at my party!! :) ) 5)get some fun snacks to snack on. if you have a fire pit then go outside and roast marshmellows or hotdog wennies.. have fun!! if it is cold then go back inside grab some money.. goto a store and get some snuggies to keep warm!!! 6)play some video games or like do kareoke. have fun being you.... last time to in 09!!! 7)make some dumb/silly videos and post them on youtube or facebook and see how many weiws you can get!! 8)prank call ur friends!! ya kno.. 9)DANCE!!! have a dance off or something.. last time to do crazy stuff b4 09 is OvEr!!!.. just try not to get arrested bein crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10)goto a store and just hang out.. like goto Wal*Mart and get the lightsabers and act like nerds and have a blast being SiLlY!!!!! What to do on New Years Eve for a double date?
So there's four of us, 16+ age only one of us is old enough to drink. but anyways, what could we all do on new years together? we were thinking about getting a room at a hotel but anything other than that? Not spending too much money though. in minnesota.
