What Do People Mean When They Talk About Family Values

What Does "Daily Value Not Established" Mean?

that scientist haven't figured how much of that type of herb or vitamin the body needs a day.

Why in America, there is no family culture/ values?

To answer your initial question, family values of cohesion in America have been lowered in priority for the sake of "gender equality" and womens desire for independence from traditional domestic roles. And, yes, it's also the main reason for why there is so much divorce, most of them being initiated by the wife.

However, there is no clear evidence which shows that children of divorced parents will be any less likely to adapt to society as adults than the children of parents who commit to their marriage. In fact, children exposed to the constant fighting of parents who refuse to separate from each other can be even worse for them psychologically. Not all divorce situations are the same and not everyone goes through a bitter, ugly divorce.

In countries where divorce is not allowed, it doesn't necessarily mean couples or their children will be happier. All it means is that the husbands unfaithful behaviour goes unpunished by the legal system, which can have just as many negative effects as a divorce can. Pretending there are no emotional problems for the sake of the cultural value of modesty isn't exactly something I would value, personally. Besides, in many "third world" countries, couples are forced to live apart anyway due to finding jobs abroad in richer countries like USA (which, strangely, they like to criticize as being "uncultured"), sometimes both parents being entirely absent from the child's life and instead being raised by other relatives or a nanny for very, very long periods of time.

As for the elderly, why should the children be the ones to take care of them all the time? In my opinion, countries like yours have the backwards priorities because children are often neglected, abused, or abandoned while the elderly are given far too much attention that the government instead should be giving them. Just because an elderly person is living in a nursing home, doesn't mean that their children have abandoned them, but that's the way the culture is here.

Basically, to put in perspective, what you call "family values", Americans call "patriarchal oppression".

What does "value segment" mean in?

In this case "value segment" means the part of the market where consumers are highly price conscicous. Meaning the price of products and services drives purchase decisions. Consumers are not usually willing to pay more for brand names and extra features on products in the value segment. So a company must make its profit by selling lots of stuff. Wal-mart is an example of a company in the value segment of the market.
