What Do The Guards Do If

What does the Coast Guard do?

Alright let me first say that I am in the Coast Guard and in no way is this to bash any military service member nor is it to belittle the Guard.... That being said we do everything... When I say everything I mean everything. It can range from overseas bomb inspections on small boats all the way down to cleaning a toilet that one of the guys in the barracks (on base housing kinda like dorms) did not clean before he checked out. As a non-rate (what you will be when you come in) you will be expected to do every little and big job...Cleaning, painting, doing dishes, folding blankets, delivering mail, cleaning, inpecting rooms, breaking ice in the berring sea, boat checks, dumping trash in the ocean (no plastic though), opening trash bags that have been sitting for a couple days, umm did I mention cleaning? Yeah well thats how it rolls when youre the low man on the tottem pole. Its not all bad but please do not be fooled by the cool movies (ie the Guardian)! Weigh your options out and make a reasonable decision, oh and as far as the 20/20 vision thing goes dont worry about it in the coast guard. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions or concerns...

What would a queen's guard do if a fly lands on his face?

My drill instructor at RAF Swinderby (Corporal Duke IIRC) was a member of the RAF Regiment (an infantry unit formed during WW2 to defend airfields). He happily told a story of a spider wandering across his face during a parade. When he had the chance, he ‘sucked it in and swallowed it…’Protein is protein I suppose….

What would the guards do if you tried to graffiti the tomb of the unknown soldier?

Have you ever had your ass kicked and ended up in the back end of a police car with a force that is accountable to almost no one? Probably after treatment at a medical facility… These are folks you would be wise not to fuck with. The soldier will be punished accordingly of course with a a shitty assignment. Likely Hawaii where he will have to endure 80 degree weather, Mai-tais and pretty girls for over a year. They hate that.Visit the place if you get a chance. Watch the guard change, it’s quite moving. Shut your mouth and move on.Pick somewhere else to paint whatever is on your mind. The Tomb is not that place.

What does the shrink guard do on a dryer(:?

See if you can turn off the shrink guard setting. Frankly, we have a shrink guard and it isn't that effective; I shrunk three pairs of pants that the Ann Taylor Loft "guaranteed" me wouldn't shrink.

If your jeans have any type of stretch material in them, good luck: if you put them in really hot water and hot dryer, they may actually get loser. And, even if you do get them to fit the way you want, they will be loose a couple of hours after wearing them. Just a pointer for next time you shop: try to avoid getting pants that stretch, as they get baggy really quick and eventually stay that way. They are made for people who want to wear a size 10 when they need a 12 or 14.

What does the shrink guard do on a dryer?

The shrink guard is so your clothes will only get slightly shrunken. Most clothes will inevitably shrink in the hot air.

What would the Queen's Guard do in the event of an attack?

Let me put it this way, some years ago an idiot discharged several blanks from revolver at Her Majesty, at the nick of time the attacker was saved by Metropolitan Police.Saved.Saved from whom do you ask? From queens guard, the foot guards were enraged enough to have a try at bayoneting the poor sod till he bleed to death…ON a diferent occasion Her Majesty took a night stroll in the garden and a footman on duty saw her, and greated her with “Bloody hell, your Majesty I almost shot you” the queen apologised and promised to inform the officer on watch before taking any more night walks. These guys have spent decades in constant risk of IRA having a go at them, be that at Buck House, Sandringham or wherever else, the Queen has resided inside UK.As to what exactly they would do I am obviously neither at possesion of that piece of information, nor do I think that many people outside of the Guard division are, and the people who are will definitely keep their mouths shut about it.But if you think that they would not kill any attacker you are quite wrong…

What does the Coast Guard do if the U.S. goes to war?

Depends on the war. In the "War on Drugs," the USCG mostly does drug interdiction patrols, catching smugglers and stopping contraband before it reaches the US. As others have stated, when US Navy ships do interdiction patrols, every away team is lead by trained USCG personnel, since they can make sure that the boarding team adheres to international law. One of the coolest ways the USCG stops fast boats is by using snipers firing from a helo, disabling the boats' engines. In past wars, the Coast Guard was heavily involved in coastal antisubmarine warfare. Think small cutters and destroyers versus U-boats, with the odds heavily in the U-boats' favor. Those sailors lived the old lifesaving station saying: "You have to go out. You don't have to come back."

I don't have Skate Guards or Soakers so what should I use?

Are you skating often or just once in awhile? You need skate guards if you are walking outside of the rubber mat area (like outside). Soakers are good, but a nice absorbent hand towel will do just fine in drying your skates.

If your budget is tight, try going to the lost and found at the rink to get a pair of guards (might be mismatched, but will work just fine). You'd be surprised at how many get left there. I think I got my first pair from the lost and found. You might even find soakers there too.

In the long run, soakers are good because they dry up all that moisture. Guards are necessary eventually if you do a lot of off ice stuff so that you can protect them from nicks and dents.

How do you get past the thirsty guards in pokemon red?

If you are playing Red:

Go to the roof of the department store in Celadon City. There, you'll find a vending machine with Fresh Water, Soda Pop, and Lemonade. Buy any one you wish, it doesn't matter, and walk by the guard. He'll somehow know you have the drink, stop you, and take it. He'll drink it up, stop being thirsty, and let you pass as a way of thanking you. He'll share it with the other guards, too, so you only have to give a drink to one.

If you are playing Fire Red:

Go to the mansion or whatever it's called in Celadon City. It's the huge building where you can get Eevee. On the first floor, there's an old lady. Talk to her, and you'll get the item Tea. You can't drink it or use it in any way, or sell it. Take it to any guard you want, and he'll let you pass, and promise to share it with the others, so they will let you through, too.

Good luck, Saffron's where the game starts getting quite a bit harder and more confusing, but it still remains fun!
