What Do U Think About A Turkish Person Who Wants To Study In A University In Usa

Turkish people, what kind of place is that Ozyegin university?

Özyeğin University created in 2007 by Hüsnü Özyeğin foundation. It is a private university. The campus of university isn't good enough in my opinion. Every university in Istanbul worth to study. Istanbul is a great historical place and cheap for students. I live in Istanbul, I have friends who studies there.

Özyeğin is a great university if your friends thinking to study economy or applied sciences.

Also, nobel prize owner Daniel McFadden visited the university in 2010.

Update: I highly recommend Istanbul Technical University(the best engineering university in Turkey no doubt.) for engineering if he can go there. But if you want me to make a ranking for private universities in Turkey, i could say:
1. Koç University
2. Sabancı University
3. Ozyegin University

Yes, he really should study at Ozyegin. About financial assistance, when he comes to Turkey, he should visit the Registrar's office in the university. They will help him for sure.

I want to study in turkey! QUESTIONS! UNIVERSITY IN ISTANBUL!?

I dont know the American university system enough but I will try to help you explaining Turkish university system a bit..
1.In Istanbul, there are some PUBLIC universities teach in English partly or fully..

Boğaziçi Universitesi teaches in English %100
Istanbul Teknik Üniversitesi teaches in English %70
Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi teaches in English %70

but the universities I listed above dont have medicine school..

but if you would like to study medicine I can suggest Istanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa Medicine School..they teach in English or Turkish..They say that it is one the best medicine school..

another school where you can get medicine education in English is Marmara University(Public)
http://tip.marmara.edu.tr/?&dil=en

and there are some private universities teach in English..but Im not sure which ones..they can be expensive like $12 000 - 14 000 per a year .Especially medicine education costs more than the others

2.As a American citizen it seems hard to get a scholarship IMO
you should talk to school administration
There are some organizations give financial aid to "top students" or poor students..but you have to be Turkish citizine for this kind of financial aids..there is the same rule for government loads..
only you may get financial aids are from universities or banks..(I am not sure sorry)

3.I dont think public dorms are comfort enough..but private schools dorms are newer and better and there are some private dorms like hostel..but you can rent a flat near the university you are going to go..

4.I dont know.but there are many exhange student or American tourists

5.Basic first education takes 6 years..probably after 2 years later you can become a specialist on a branch
I dont know very well.

hope this helps actually I didnt study medicine but I know little bit from my friends..

Turkish men- i don't mean to stereotype?

I really don't mean to stereotype but I have recently come back from a holiday in Turkey and the behaviour of the Turkish men has really made me think twice. I was hoping to study Spanish and Turkish at university because I really love the country and am interested in the language but now I have second thoughts because what happened if I learnt Turkish and maybe lived there one day and I just get treated like a cheap, easy girl.
I'm only 16 and everytime one of the men started to try and flirt etc, i told him my age and he would say he was 24 for example and STILL try and kiss me! Even knowing that I was only 16.
To be fair, I was in quite a touristy area and so I can understand that maybe the Turkish men there just have a certain impression of Western Girls but I wasn't even dressed bad either! I had long white linen trousers on!!
Are all Turkish men like this? Even in cities like Istanbul and Ankara?
I did actually meet quite a few really nice Turkish men that weren't pervy at all and were really genuine and kind and didn't try anything with any of the girls.
I know it seems like I'm stereotyping all Turkish men but I really don't mean to. Its just, people always say you shouldn't stereotype which is true... but Turkish men really do have a bad reputation so it's not like its just the odd guy... its like 98% of the men working in the tourist places!
I met a really nice Turkish family and I do know some really nice Turkish people. They're always welcoming and helpful and never rude. Much friendlier than western men but they just seem so obsessed with sex!!
