What do you do during Ramadan??

You didnt mention your faith.. but if you are Christian, you are aware that Jesus fasted and often... And if you look at his mother, any image of Mary you can google always shows her in a hijab, covering herself..
So Islam isnt so unlike Christianity (Jesus is an Islamic prophet to us muslims)
anyways.. fasting is first off to feel the hardships of those that are poor and without means of food and sustanance.. We remember them and give in charity... then fasting is a way for us to cleanse our bodies of impurities. It also brings us closer to God, when you are hungry, you think deeper.. You meditate and contemplate with prayer during the day. Also as a group, it gives a sense of brotherhood knowing that all other muslims are fasting along with you.. It gives a sense of belonging. Also it developes stamina, commitment and discipline in life to be able to handle fasting for a month..
We dont fast without food or water 24hours for a whole month.. Just from sun up to sun down... We start fasting upon the first prayer of the day.. which is sun up (dawn) and we break the fast upon the 4th prayer of the day which is sun down (dusk)... during the night we can eat and enjoy anythings..
we do not put anything in our mouths, we dont chew gum, smoke cigarettes, mints, or anything (other than we do brush out teeth and can use toothpaste).. We dont engage in sexual relations with spouses during the fast, we are not supposed to curse or get angry or do any sinful thing during the fast... This again is a test of faith and discipline...
We break the fast with a bit of light nutricious food, like some hearty fruits like dried dates or figs, some juice or water.. then we go pray and thank God for the days fast, then we can return and either eat a larger more regular meal or just wait till later in the eveing (some do)..
also its encouraged for us to try to REad the whole Quran during the month of Ramadan.. so we can strengthen our knowledge of Islam
.. its really a great time.. and when the month is over.. we have 3 days of a holiday ordained by God to remember the good month, celebrate the sucessful fasting and visit loved ones and friends and feast.. Eat now... ^_^

Passing out during Ramadan?

That could be due to dehydration. How much water do you drink a day? You need at least 8 glasses of water, drink plenty before you fast and plenty after breaking it. Another thing is if you get up too quickly, you can get a blackout or feel very lightheaded. Staring at the computer screen for too long when I haven't eaten makes me feel very lightheaded and I collapse. Water is a must, enough sleep, and not too much computer screen. And I hope you eat before fasting and after!

Can i think of my crush during ramadan?

The person i really like crosses my mind a lot while i fast. Is it forbidden to keep talking about him...or say write about him in my diary while i fast. because i can't help but think of him throughout the day. WHAT DO I DO.Is this ok to do while fasting?

As Muslims, what do you do during the day in Ramadan?

Great question! For myself and my family, we go about life 'as normal'.  Meaning, we work full-time jobs, parent our child, handle our chores and household. We check in with family, friends & neighbors, follow the news and local events. For devotion, we follow our regular practice of 5 daily prayers, remembrance and reflection upon Allah and read the scripture. Additionally, we fast from dawn til dusk and pray extra at night.Ramadan is an exercise in self restraint and sacrifice. If performed with this intent, it builds empathy and compassion.  So many people around the world fast out of poverty and are either starving or food insecure.  Life doesn't pause because a person is hungry. It shouldn't for Muslims either. In some countries schedules change so liberally that a 'sacrifice' is barely felt. People may become adjusted to eating or even feasting at night and sleeping throughout the day....but I question, is that really in the spirit of fasting?

What to do during ramadan if you have a wet dream?

Wet dream doesn't nullify the Fast.
One has to have ghussl before Fajr Prayer. if it happen during night, he can eat for sehri without taking a bath..

Edit
rinsing Nose/nostrils with water must be very shallow not to full depth.

What do children do during Ramadan?

Thanks 4 A2A, when I was a Kid and when I’m looking at kids during the holy month of Ramadan, they’ve a curiosity that they want to fast with their elder brothers, sisters and parents. When they look at elders who are not eating, they refuse to eat and say we are fasting too :DDuring my childhood when I used to be stubborn refusing to eat, My Mom used to say children’s should fast 3 times a day and drink water during the day, she makes us eat at least 3 times before we break the fast and we all gather together at the time of breaking fast. This is where you can see the love of your Mom feeding children during her fast and Innocence of Children who do not want to eat when their elders are fasting.—————————————————————————————————————Children under the age 7 are not allowed to fast, but once you’re 7 years old they’re supposed to fast, offer prayer 5 times a day and read Qur’an at least 2 times a year, 1 during the holy month of Ramadan and 1 during the rest 11 months.
