What Do You Do When The Manager At Your Job Lies To You

What is the best way to deal with a manager who lies?

If you are rather sure of your position in the company, and your boss is not used to direct confrontation, you can try to confront her in open and where there is many people around. If you make a huge quarrel and demand that she stops and throw in some threats about suing her personally for damages if she does not stop, and are able to fight her open, this may stop it once and for all. She will suddenly realize, that is it too dangerous for her own position to abuse you. From my own experience - if you are able to show that no matter what you will defend yourself, even very strong players will look for easier preys.Be careful though, if she is much stronger in the company, and personally ‘strong’, you will loose your job. Perhaps still better than being abused.Alternatively, get transferred to other department?

What do you think I should do when my manager lied to me, I use to trust him?

You really can never trust anyone at work unless you know them really well…outside of the office as well as in the workplace. We do our jobs to support ourselves and our families, so it is the family that comes first, not our coworkers or subordinates. My current manager, who I’ve known for 25 years, did something recently ( to another coworker-not to me) that was so nasty and despicable that I was shocked. I understand why he did it. However I have lost all the respect I had because he could have done things in a much better way, but it would have been more difficult. Every year we have something called upward feedback-we rate our managers. I always praised his integrity but can no longer do that. That said, it has NO impact on my interactions with him. I’m professional and since he was never a personal friend of mine, I never trusted him with anything that mattered to me.So you ask, what should you do? Just do your job, make sure you do it well and depending on what kind of work you do, document everything. Remember you can’t trust coworkers ever to have your best interests at heart. Think before you share personal information, stay out of workplace drama, avoid gossip.

I lied to my boss and said my grandma died, but then fessed up now im scared to go back to work what do i do?

The first thing you should do is to apologise to your boss and explain everything to him. You need to be sincere in your apology, and ensure that you do not tell such a lie to your boss again.

What's the best lie to tell my boss when I need to take a half day in order to go to an interview for a new job?

How many times are you going to lie so that you may attend an interview, since it’s unlikely that you’ll get the first job that you apply for?How many times can you claim to be sick/have a medical or dental appointment/cite flooding/funeral attendance, etc, etc?If you have any leave due to you, request the time off. As already mentioned, make sure that if you normally dress casually for work, you don’t turn up to your workplace in a suit or a more formal outfit - that’s a sure give-away. If it would be inconvenient to change before or after interview, then take the full day off.If you don’t have leave due to you, then ask for time off, (if necessary, without pay) ‘to attend to an urgent, personal matter’. You are not obliged to divulge what that personal matter is however much your line manager or boss may wish to delve. ‘Personal’ means just that and your boss should respect that.As an employer and recruitment consultant, I often saw candidates after their work hours and a few senior people even on a Saturday! And that is not unusual, at all. Our clients were accommodating if a candidate they wished to see could only be available after 5.30 pm.Most recruiters are understanding and will, if at all possible, arrange to see you either first thing in the morning (so that you are only an hour or so late for work - need to alert your employers about that in advance) or last thing in the evening which may mean that you have to leave work, by prior arrangement with your boss, a little earlier.Lying has a habit of coming back to bite you! What lies do you tell your boss when you're late for work?

Why lie ? own up to your tardiness, excuse yourself and do not repeat the situation. It's to you to be on time ( unless you have an accident or the metro breaks down, earthquake, tornado etc.., then your boss will be late too ). If you are constantly late get another job closer to where you live. You owe it to your boss to take your job ( what ever it is) seriously. She/He pays you.

What can you do when customers lie about the service you gave them?

Hi everyone here's what just happened to me.
It's holiday season so we have alot of stressed out customers shopping for holiday decorations gifts etc. Well i was ringing up a lady and i'm very polite and sometimes smile too much lol but anyways her item rung up for $10.99 and she said there was a sign that stated it was for $5.00 i walked over to where the item was stocked with her to find the sign... well there wasn't one and i apologized to her in a sincere tone and stated the item is as priced $10.99 and offered her my own personal $2.00 off coupon i had saved to purchase the same item later because i felt bad for her. That still wasn't enough and she said i was an incompenant, stupid girl and that i should have stayed in school (i'm in my second year of college) but i didn't tell her that because i felt that my instigate her and escalate her anger with me. She storms out of the store cussing me out and i'm left breathless and shocked because i could never treat someone like that especially after i gave her my own personal coupon when i didn't have to. So she called corporate office saying i was rude ignored her tried to overcharge her on purpose and i was the one cussing her out (untrue). What do you do in a situation like this, where a customer lies almost costing your job or does cost your job when it was all lies?. Customers come first to corporate eyes and will believe them, it's just unfair i know there are some lazy retail workers out there but there are also alot of good ones also some good customers to be fair here. Just why cuss a person out that you never met before who's obviously going out of her way to help the situation and call her names that would make anyones ears bleed.
My manager didn't believe the email she got because she knew i wasn't like that and none of my co-workers have ever heard me dis-respect anyone yet alone swear on my own time.
Is there something i can do prevent customers lying about sales clerks just to get a free gift card or whatever higher ups give out to kiss customer butt?
Sorry this is so long i've just had my x-mas spirit ripped out of me and i'm now a little bitter.
Thank you :-)

How do I ignore my boss when he bashes Trump?

Fellow Trump supporter here. You wrote that you are a "paid intern." I hate to be the one to tell you, but that is pretty low in the coporate food chain, corporate prison gang system, or coporate organized crime family or whatever similar analogy you would like. You need to accept this or either leave and start a new job or a new business where you get to set the culture. Yes, HR more than likely lied to you about dealing with this. You are a paid intern who is leaving in a few weeks and he is the boss. Unless your boss did something really bad to you, HR isn't going to get involved just because your boss badmouthed Trump. Just be quiet, do your job well, get all the experience you can, get paid and move on to become bigger and better.

How can I tell my boss that I lied on my resume and want to quit?

I once had to quit a career job because of health reasons. I wrote my letter of resignation the night before and handed it to my boss in the morning.Writing it out helps you to be clear what it is you are doing and why. It also makes it harder for your boss to convince you to stay and is a permanent physical record, so make sure you sign it and keep a copy.I’d leave out the bit about lying on your resume as that could lead you to getting into legal trouble. If they employed you and haven’t ended that employment then that can only happen if they’re satisfied with the work you do.Telling your boss that you “want” to quit puts them in an awkward situation as they can view that as making you not feasible to continue employing. You could then find that they sack you in order to end your employment when they wish to.Unless you have an alternative income revenue stream, consider looking for a replacement job before you resign. That way there’s less chance your boss will convince you to stay as you’ll only end up jeopardising your new job.Being stuck in a job that you don’t want to be in is incredibly damaging to mental health that will lead onto other health problems, so don’t just stick your head in the sand and hope it magically fixes itself. This is one journey where you need your hands on the steering wheel.
