What do you do when your parents give up on you?
Spend some time with your folks. Try helping around the house. Do some subtle things to help your mom, like taking out the garbage, helping with the dishes, vacuuming your room, do the laundry. This will make them sit up and take notice of you. Make an effort to cook breakfast for them on Sunday morning and serve it to them in bed. Start doing these things on a regular basis. Make an effort to improve your grades at school. If they have something for you to do or somewhere to go that clashes with your sport or time with your boyfriend, try to do it or go with them for a change. If they give you back your phone be responsible when using it and not run up a large account. These things will show your parents that you love them, more than a book full of words can. If they see that you are making this effort their attitude towards you will change. It won't happen over night but it will happen.
Do your parents/guardians use your full name when they're mad at you?
I have never encountered this in real life but have seen this referenced on television. The parent gets mad at the offspring (usually I've seen this on sitcoms) and then calls the offspring by the full (first, middle, last) name. Is this still done? Have you ever had this happen? If you're a parent and you've done it, why exactly does usage of the full name indicate your anger? I can't say I quite understand it.

regardless, you're a minor, and short of emancipation or legal proceedings, there is nothing you can do.about anything they say. amd i.don't mean to sound harsh, but until you reach age of.majority, you don't own anything either, regardless of whether or.not you bought it.with your money. it's legally your parents' until you're an adult. in short - your parents own you till you are legally an adult, whether through age or emancipation
Do my parents have full authority over me as long as I am below 18?
When you say “full authority” what do you mean? They decided to have you as their child, so they are responsible for your well being and training to become a responsible adult. Every country has their own traditions, cultures etc.. but the one thing that parents don’t have the right to do is physically abuse you, that doesn’t mean punishing for your actions or inactions by keeping you home from friends, or keeping from communications from friends, making you do yard care etc.. that is trying to teach you that some behaviors are not good to be a good adult one day. As a teenager your hormones are wacky and can get you in alot of trouble. Your parents are trying to keep you safe from your bad behavior or lack of common sense. Show them you are an adult by helping around the house and yard without them asking you to.. you know what needs to be done because you are smart. Then when they believe your actions they will release the grip.
How can I earn my parents trust back when I stole money from them?
You realize you made a mistake and that is a step in the right direction. You may have a problem with taking money since you said that this was not the first time that this had happened. I agree with the others who said that you should try to pay it back. If you have a job, do without something that you would have bought for yourself in order to pay them back. Ask them to be patient with you and that you will try and pay it all back as soon as possible. If you don't have a job you might even ask if you could "work off your debt" with your parents by doing things that they might have to pay others to do. If you can not control the urge to take money then confess that to your parents and ask them to help you get counceling. They are understandably disappointed in you and you are disappointed in yourself as well. Time will help this situation a lot.
How do l live life to the full without parents?
I often have this conversation with people and they chide me for coming from a two parent home. What is difficult for them to understand is that my parents were distant and neglectful and never took the time to understand me, so it is possible to have parents and not have them at the same time. I have developed a close relationship with a woman I consider my mother figure, who has given me sound advice and we have been very close since I was eighteen. She has been the one to look out for me when no one else (in my family) would. I think there are all kinds of ways we can develop relationships, when there is no parental connection, and live life, enjoy it and be successful. I have to cheer myself on often because I decided if there is no one to teach me or care, I will push through and I have have accomplished much because of this and now (years later) my parents want to be on board.
Why do guys flirt w/ me in front of my parents?
I always get these older guys (18-30) who assume I'm their age. I look 19, but I'm 15. Anyway, these waiters/grocers/salesmen find it okay to flirt with me in front of parents. Some examples of things the guys have said "Your daughter had the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen." OR "Wow, I've never seen you here before. I would have remembered your face..." Or sometimes I'll just get guys smiling and waving. Sometimes, I want to flirt back, but talk about awkward! How does a person manage to act natural and cute when the parents are RIGHT THERE? Usually when were leaving my mom/dad/grandma or whatever has to make it even more awkward with "oh, I think he thought you were cute." Thanks, mom. Thanks a bunch. ADVICE?!
