However before you continue let's just take a quick step back and ask a few questions. 1. Who are you making these videos for?Why is it that you decided to make videos? Do you want to show your friends and family? Do you want to show your online buddies what sweet things you can do in this game? Do you simply want to record yourself so you can watch your videos back at a later date? These are all questions you should be considering when trying to figure out who you really are making these videos for. You should consider who you intend your audience to be and then compare that to who is actually watching your videos when you release them. 2. What games will you be playing? There are people making videos about every game imaginable. Find games that you enjoy playing to make videos about not just games everybody seems to like. There are fans out there who like watching every game so pick a game wisely too because once you start making lots of videos about a game it isn't that simple to switch to another. 3. What kind of gaming videos do you want to make? There are countless of types of gaming videos including let's play, you commentating online, montages, etc. Pick one kind of video to make or more if you'd like and make them consistently. You can make different kinds of videos but consistency is key and it keeps your audience coming back for more week after week. How to get my YouTube gaming channel noticed?

Well, you can try what other youtube celebrities do, use face cam, get a good microphone, and play a variety of games to attract a larger audience. Such as horror/kids/mystery/simulation/sports and all of that. Also, many famous video gamers play more than 1 game at a time. Such as "Pewdiepie" or "UberHaxorNova" play about 3-4 games at a time. Also, be dedicated, you can also do some vlogs for your subscribers, or host some scheduling when your videos will be out.

Though this is not the best recommendation, there are many "subscribing sites", more subscriptions means more views on your videos.
Such as: http://www.subxcess.com/ http://www.subpals.com/ or http://www.sub4sub.com/

You can also advertise your channel by leaving youtube comments on either a video or someone's channel comments, or you can pay youtube money for an advirtisement for your channel.

Hope I helped.

I am starting a YouTube gaming channel, what are some content ideas besides Playthroughs?

There are lots of paths you can branch into within the gaming niche. What I suggest is to start your channel and, for the first few weeks or so, make different kinds of videos. You will then choose the best performing kind and run with it. You can try the following gaming niche video ideas:Game reviewsThere are all sorts of games being pumped out on a constant basis. Instead of giving viewers gameplay walkthroughs, you can talk about what good, what’s bad, and what’s ugly.I know this might work because there hve been lots of times I have looked to game reviewers before deciding what game to play next. Remember, games do notlast forever. Once a gamer finishes one, they will be looking for the next thrill and if you provide good reviews, it will be you they will come back to.Gaming news comentaryThere is alwasy some news in the gaming industry. Why not make a channel providing commentary on what is going on? Just pick out the most interesting stories. Is new game about to be rolled out? Give your viewers in depth info on it. You can talk about pst versions of the game, similar games, what to expect, etc.Check out this article with a list of YouTube Channel ideas along with name ideas and monetisation methods.

How do I start a YouTube gaming channel without money?

It’s a bit difficult to get in the YouTube gaming scene this late, but not impossible. The main thing to remember is being unique, engaging your audience, and showing your energy. Try practicing your commentary or talking to a camera before recording videos, it will help overcome the initial awkwardness we all feel when shouting happily at a camera, and help you feel more genuine to the audience. You can use programs like Open Broadcast Software (OBS) to start off with recording. While you don’t necessarily need a facecam to start, you’ll definitely want a decent mic and pop filter when you can afford it. Popping, clicking and background fuzz is the huge turn off for people there to hear your commentary. If you can, position your desk so your facing your closet, or a sheet you’ve hung before recording. This will eliminate some of the natural reverb that echos through your room, and consequently, back into the microphone. For games, you can browse through the ‘Free to Play’ section on steam, and see if anything catches your eye. Things like the yearly Steam sale or Humble Bundle are also good places to find something of higher quality at a discount.Trying looking for other small YouTubers or Gamers you can go multiplayer with. It brings more publicity to your channel (and theirs), and people generally find the added dynamic between two players entertaining. As you keep going and save up money, you’ll be able to upgrade along the way. (Which is a MUST if you want to build your audience) You can buy an OK condenser mic for 30–40 bucks, and a cheap pop filter for 10–15 off Amazon. If your looking for a webcam, I’d personally recommend Logitech. Their fairly inexpensive, very reliable, and you can get one with decent quality for 35-ish (720p), or 55–60-ish (1080p).

Is it to late to start a gaming channel on YouTube and become successful?

Well I suppose to answer this, it depends on how you define successful. But in short - no. It’s not too late. Was it too late to become a successful singer when Bing Crosby was all the rage? Was is too late to become a successful movie star when James Stewart was acting? Was it too late to become a successful artist with such characters as Michelangelo or Leonardo Da Vinci? Was it too late to become a successful composer with people like Beethoven and Pachelbel? Is it too late to do something great now that Mahatma Gandhi and Mother Teresa have been around? No! It is never too late! Now think of all of these things I have mentioned. One thing they all have in common is that it is easy to try. Anybody can start singing. Anyone can go act in a play. Anyone can pick up a paintbrush or start writing music. Anyone can strive to do good things. But what separates the amateur from the Bing Crosby? From the James Stewart? From the Michelangelo? From the Pachelbel? From the Ghandi? It’s hard work. Determination. A will to do what you love or what you need to do. Want to be the next Pitbull, Rihanna, Michael Phelps, Barrack Obama, Tom Cruise, FUN, Freddie Mercury, Will Smith, … Pewdiepie? All you have to do is get out there and do it!Anyone can record a video and upload it to YouTube. It’s extremely easy to do. That’s why so many people do it! But what does it take to go beyond that? To get past all of those amateurs? How do you go from just another YouTuber to THE YouTuber? That’s for you to decide. But is it too late? It’s never too late.Nothing worth doing comes easy.

Do I need to be a pro gamer to make a YouTube Channel?

No, you do not need to be a pro gamer to run a gaming channel. But, you do need to be entertaining. You need to think to yourself, in everything you put on your channel: “Why would anyone want to watch this?” If it’s just you dicking around in a game, doing nothing of any real value, entertainment, or skill, why would we care to watch it?Many people absolutely watch pro gamers play, because it’s enjoyable to see their level of skill. But many people will watch lesser skilled players play, largely because of their personality. AdumPlaze is a gaming channel, run by the same guy who does YourMovieSucksDOTorg. It currently has over 70k subscribers, not because Adam is particularly skilled at the games he plays (he isn’t), but because people find his personality, and that of the friends he plays with, enjoyable to watch. So, if you want to run a gaming channel, just remember: “Why would anyone want to watch this?”
