what is overrated are these people who whine constantly that xmas sucks.. they blame the holiday instead of themselves.. this happens all through out the year.. birthdays, other holidays... every little thing that happens.. it's the fault of these things instead of the person. yes, let's all blame xmas for our doings. sorry, it's not christmas in this case... NOR in all the other cases where someone is blaming the holiday for things that are a problem in their effect. the fact i have a terminal condition i was diagnosed with one xmas day... doesn't mean i can blame the day.... sorry, i ain't falling for this excuse either.. along with the "xmas is too commercial" ..... make xmas what you want it to be.. don't run away from yourself and say it was the fault of something that had nothing to do with it or ever will. i'm not even religious and i enjoy the day for what it is. happy holidays.

Have a holly jolly Christmas and Santa baby. Holly jolly Christmas just repeats the same thing over and over again in an overly happy voice. I know Christmas is a happy time but this is too much happy and too much of repeating the same lyric over and over again. Santa baby is just creepy. It’s makes Santa Claus the figure kids love and wait for sound sexual and dirty.

The commercialism. Businesses urge people to buy stuff and spend money with their Black Friday and Cyber Monday scams. Some businesses want people to use credit so they can get a discount or offer. By the middle of the upcoming year people are still in debt. Christmas is not about giving. When are people going to get that through their thick heads. Santa Claus doesnt exists.

I’m going to open a new retail store next November. I’m going to instruct my cashiers and other store associates that they should greet every customer with “Happy Hanukkah” unless the customer specifically mentions another holiday in casual conversation. This will be the store policy and any associate who doesn’t participate in this greeting will be reprimanded.Anyone feeling alienated yet? No, I’m not opening a store with this express purpose, but if I did I bet my business would lose a few customers because of this policy. While a lot of people in the US do celebrate Christmas, some don’t (whether they celebrate other holidays or none at all) and those customers feel alienated by shops that force Christian tradition down their throat.The “War on Christmas” is BS propaganda. Saying ‘Happy Holidays’ isn’t about denouncing Christian tradition, it’s about making money. If I can get 8% more customers and profit by utilizing the all-inclusive greeting, then that’s what’s going to be happening. It’s like the right-wing is okay with businesses making more profit when it comes at the cost of harming the environment, taking advantage of customers, and refusing workers a living wage, but God forbid corporations try to make more profit by messing with my Christmas cheer.BTW, this liberal loves Christmas and has never been insulted by hearing Happy Holidays.
