Diapered brother................?
My girlfriend and I was doing homework yesterday and watching my baby brother also at the same time. All thru the time were watching him I was constanty asking him to let me know if he has to go potty he said no. Well he had an accident I kind of lost my cool I had my girlfriend put a diaper on him like a punishment it didn't go over to well with my mother when she walked in the door. Do you think I was justified doing that or I overreacted a little bit? He is 3 and half years old.
Does the choice to use cloth diapers say anything special about a mother's tender loving care for baby?
Every mother, irrespective of her parenting choices, has tender loving care for her baby. I don’t think choosing cloth diapers or any other choice should be looked at in this lens. There are enough things that moms are judged for unnecessarily and unfairly, without adding diapering choice into the mix.Companies try to sell you this notion that if a mother truly cares about her baby, she will do/buy X,Y or Z. This is the unfortunate world we live in where capitalism is perpetuating behaviour that needs to be culled. This is applicable in general to all kinds of advertising - you are the best husband if you XYZ, you are the best wife if you ABC, and so on. But the impact is infinitely more in case of moms, purely because they and their parenting choices are minutely under the scanner than any other category of people.Despite running a business that manufactures and sells cloth diapers, however much it may make business sense to say a cloth diapering mother loves her child more than one who doesn’t use cloth diapers, I refuse to get into this mindset. All I will say is that it’s more eco-friendly, more economical and in some cases more baby-friendly to use cloth diapers than use disposable diapers.Mothers can make their choice on the basis of available information, without the fear of being judged for it. Please let mothers be.

Why don't you get him some of those men's incontinent pads they sell in the drug store? If that wouldn't work you could try pull ups. They aren't exactly like diapers. Kids don't want diapers, even if they see picture of other children wearing diapers. Your son only wants respect and diapers aren't respectful.
