What do you think of Tumblr's new logo?
The new logo is simple and clean. Not to mention at a smaller scale, the new logo will be more visible than the old logo. Shadows and Gradients tend to loose visibility. Even in the image above on left, you can see the pixels on the edges of the logo. A professor told me less is more, is this case you can agree with that statement.SW. What do you think about Indonesia’s decision to block Tumblr?
To be fair unlike other popular web service like Facebook, Google, Pinterest, and probably Path and Instragram (which I don’t use). Tumblr is not to vigilant in regard of blocking pornographic content.Tumblr used to be my to go places when I seek pornographic content. I don’t actively seek for porn nor have the time to torrent high definition porn content on bittorrent.In my opinion the government made a correct decision to block Tumblr.Notes: yes I know. You can find porn on internet if you try and if you can use VPN the government decision to block doesn’t bother you much aren’t they ?
Should I delete my Tumblr? :/?
So I have a blog where I have a ton of followers, I'm in a "fandom", and I've spent so much (sadly) "hard work" on making that tumblr to where it is now. But it's just, I'm a Senior and next year is college and I want to finish up strong in all of my classes. And this weekend I wanted to see what it was like to not go on tumblr and it was nice. I read more, I watched movies, was more productive! But at the same time I've made so many internet friends on there and it's just sad to think about. (I know, seriously judging me right now.. :/) But I would still keep my other personal (smaller) blog, but I wouldn't post that much (i know I wouldn't since I barely ever post on there) and Id be able to keep in contact with some of my tumblr friends. But it's like, college is also next year and I don't want to maintain my bad habits and procrastination, and I think tumblr has played a huge part into why I have procrastination and bad study habits.... :/
Why do people use Tumblr?
How would you like to use it? Some people create a theme blog on Tumblr, but that is the exception rather than the rule. Think of Tumblr as a stream-of-consciousness dumping ground to post anything catching your attention that you'd like to share with others. Candidly, there are few limits. There are lots of topics to follow so there is no shortage of blog fodder to reblog -- in fact, some Tumblrs are 100% reblogs, which is nice if you are the type who takes your cues from others regarding what to think about, well, anything.I'm fond of screen capping the shows and movies I like to watch, so I post a lot of those. My tumblr is 50% content that I post and 50% reblogs.I recommend Tumblr to everyone because your real name is not required, there is no penalty for multiple tumblrs and the advertisements are not intrusive. As a time-waster it's quite enjoyable.
How do i get an "archive" button on my tumblr?
When editing that little info section in customize, you just have to add a simple HTML code. the link for your archive is YOURTUMBLRNAME.tumblr.com/archive simple as that! to insert it as a clickable link, enter: < a href= " http://YOURTUMBLRNAME.tumblr.com/archive " > archive!
