How to get Body Fat Percentage from 22% to 10%.?

Your body fat percentage of 22% is ideal and 10% is dangerously low for a woman and can cause all kinds of health problems including absence of periods, osteoperosis, infertility, chronic fatigue syndrome to mention a few.

When you read that you need 10% or less body fat for visible abs, that was referring to MEN not women. Women naturally have more body fat than man, about 8% more and this is necesssary for reproductive function and general health.

So if you were to go down to say 18% body fat, you should see that definition you are looking for. In order to do this, it would be a case of losing about 6lb which will put you at the minimum healthy weight for your height, but you will also need to maintain ALL of your current lean mass by doing weight training and also consuming adequate amounts of protein.

I have listed body fat percentages for women below.

What are appealing body fat percentages?

We live in a world where LEAN-ESS is celebrated.Everyone wants a six-pack and want to become shredded.Unfortunately human body has genetically evolved to love fat.You see, body fat is very important for us.Not only it helps us to protect our organs from damage besides playing other important functions like Vitamin absorption, but the prime functions of body fat is to provide us with energy.Even if you are very lean at 8% body fat at 170 lbs you still have 13.6 pounds of fat which has 47,600 calories of stored energy.I feel the most appealing body fat percentage is a body fat percentage range is where sustainability marries looks.Look in the body fat percentage chart that I have created:What body fat percentage range you find appealing?I would like to think that everyone would agree that it should be less than 15%15% is where you will have slightly visibility of your abs (provided that are somewhat blocky)And as you start getting more shredded, you’ll start to look more leaner, your face will start to get more angular, your muscle more defined with striations and vascularity.I strongly feel for a man 10–12% is a range which is IDEAL. Please read this post where I go into detail explain why it’s the best:Ideal Body Fat Percentage For MenWhat about women?I personally would prefer women to be in the body fat range of 22–25%, yet again this is a very personal thing.Do comment below what you think is the ideal range for both men and women?Related:Body Fat Percentage Chart For Men & Women (with Pictures)https://fabulousbody.com/body-fa...

What do you think Drew McIntyre's body fat percentage is?

How do I figure out what my body fat percentage is based on a picture?

Judging from your picture you are actually pretty lean i would say maybe 10-12% but you just don’t have enough muscle mass for you abs to really show through. There’s not really a precise way of testing bodyfat other than getting a dexa-scan and even those have a quite large margin of error. You should decide if you want to cut of go into a lean gaining phase basically just based off of preference. If you feel you want to build more muscle start bulking, and if you feel you have too much body fat, which you do not, then cut.You have two options. One is to diet down even further to the point that you can see visible abs.Problems here is that you will be extremely skinny at this point and disappear in your clothes. You dont want to do a bunch of hard work just to look like a cancer patient.TWO is to bulk a bit and put on muscle so that when you finally do get lean later on you have the abs you’re chasing, but still have a healthy look to you. From your picture i would 100% recommend that you bulk.I was in the same position as you not too long ago and made the mistake of cutting. cause i was afraid of getting fat.Now after bulking for about the majority of the rest of the year i see that it was a total waist of time cause building muscle takes time, but abs are only ever a 4-8 week diet away.Hope that helps
