G-shock casio watch...?
I was going buy a Casio G-Shock Limited White Surf Men's Watch (DW-6900FS-8) But I heard that The watches are painted so the paint comes off and that you can wear it with long sleeves is that true? I want to know any defects too
What do you think of G-Shock watches?
I love my CASIO G-SHOCK GW-M5610-1. It is cost effective and a great watch to wear on the weekend with a t-shirt and jeans. I don’t like the big G-shocks, I prefer the smaller and less ostentatious G-shocks that look like the 80’s original. Also, the M5610 uses radio waves to make sure you are in perfect time and solar power so you won’t need to change the battery often.
Do you like G-Shock or CASIO better?
Both options are Casio products.I own both and prefer G-Shocks as I learned at a very young age that I destroy most things given enough chances. I have yet to destroy a G-Shock.I also like Casio watches from any line that feature Solar power, their term is Tough Solar. This both saves maintenance costs for batteries, but more importantly preserves the factory seal and water/dust/mud resistance. Solar also can enable more advanced features like auto-backlight and radio time sync.If your budget allows, you can't go wrong with a Tough Solar equipped G-Shock. But if you just get a regular Casio with solar, you're still ahead of the competition.
Can girls wear Casio G-Shock watches?
Hi, I've recently grown an interest in Casio G-Shock watches and has my eyes on a pair... But before I buy them, I'd like to ask what you guys think of girls who wear G-Shock watches? Are they too bulky and bright for girls? P/S: I'm pretty much a girly girl, but I sometimes tend to wear hoodies and sneakers when I'm in a sporty mood. So when this happens, I'd like to have a watch to match my outfit. G-Shocks perhaps?
Why would someone buy a Casio G-Shock?
ok, i have wondered this for a really really long time. I couldn't think of anywhere else to ask but here. So these Casio G-Shocks sell for hundreds of dollars. From what i can tell, they are just oversized rubber or plastic watches. Are these digital watches MORE sturdy than the casio i got from Wallgreens that is 10 bucks and lasts until the end of time? Isnt a digital watch in its nature pretty sturdy? Why the need for essentially a luxury digital watch? am i missing something here? Also, they mention that they are shock-proof. I have never had a digital watch die to being dropped or "shocked". What does this claim mean, exactly? thanks.
Did you ever manage to break your Casio G-Shock?
Fortunately no. Although my GShock has gone through worse conditions than a USMC soldier at training. I dropped it from a 3 storey building, I used to play goalkeeper wearing the watch and several times the Mikasa(one of the hardest footballs) hit my watch with huge forces,someone had managed to get a hold of my watch and somehow puntured 2 holes in one of its plastic buttons, i went swimming in the salty Arabian sea while wearing the watch, my cousin’s dog chewed it real ugly.Hell, it still works. Its 7 yrs old now. I replaced its cell ONCE. My watch is a G-7900. One of the toughest Gshocks, though not many know about this model.NOTE: Digital Gshocks are almost indestructible, Digi-analog Gshocks ARE DESTRUCTIBLE. A very good amount of force, can break the analog mechanism of the digi-analog Gshock.\m/

Are Casio G-Shocks allowed in Army Basic Combat Training?
Not only is every BCT base different (Ft Sill, Ft Benning, Ft Leonardwood, Ft Jackson) but each Company/Battery is different as well. In my Battery (Ft Sill) we do not allow them to have watches the first week because we are tired of them always looking at them for no reason. We'll tell them when and where to go at the precise time we want them to. After that, we allow them to wear their watches so long as they are not fancy. Just be aware that your Drill Sergeants may tell you to pack it away. There is nothing that says we are required to let you wear a watch
