Why did Varg kill Euronymous.?
I think that Varg was jealous of Oystein's position in the scene--especially after he learned that Oystein wasn't quite as "hardcore" as the the reputation he encouraged. When someone's "hero" turns out to be a disappointment, it's not unusual to develop a lot of bitterness toward them, and that combined with the money issues (likely further "proof" to Varg that Oystein didn't deserve his reputation) and Varg's sociopathic need to "make his mark" is what lead to the killing.

why do so many people hate him?! I think he was very misunderstood but he was good inside.He wasn't responsible for Per "Dead" committing suicide! that doesn't make any sense! Per was in control of his own actions,and he could have simply avoided him if he saw Euro as any kind of threat.The skull necklaces and brain stew was obviously make-believe sh!t for a publicity stunt,no evidence what-so-ever! and as for Varg Freakernes, that worthless piece of **** was found guilty so that speaks for itself.He had no intentions killing Varg.

I’m guessing this question was inspired by the ( then) upcoming US release of “Lords of Chaos” movie.I’ll answer the second question first:Varg was convicted of Euronymous’ 1993 murder in 1994, sentenced to 21 years imprisonment and released after 15 years, presumably on parole, correctional supervision or similar. It may seem short short to American Quorans, but its well within Norwegian and wider European norms. It’s fair to say that he has done his time.Varg “deserves” to be out of prison no more and no less than anyone else who has served their time.On to the first question:For some strange reason there are still plenty of people who defend Varg and shit on Euronymous. By “people”, I mean people who have had no personal connection to either party. I find this odd.Varg’s self-defence claim is spurious. Euro probably was planning that. Have you not seen the picture he took of Dead after he shot himself in the head? It's brutal, yet, beautiful.. weird. Euro was a sociopath and a control freak, people were upset when Dead committed suicide. there were rumors that Euro had convinced Dead to do it, so people began to view Varg as the "best" band member. Euro most likely got jealous, so he told a select few friends about his plans to snuff Varg. Varg got word of it and planned to get Euro first. I'm sure you know what happened after that. I don't know why anyone would miss Euro to be honest.

Those two hated each other in the end. Euronymous reportedly didn't like the attention Varg was getting from tabloid interviews and from burning a couple churches. He was jealous and I think there was also a financial aspect. Euronymous had a record company but closed it but Varg was using it to sell CDs so he felt screwed out of a deal.
Who is more evil, Euronymous or Varg Vikernes?
Personally, I like metal music, I don't think anyone from the black metal era was truly evil. I think they wished they were born before Christianity set in. I'm American so obviously I can't answer for them but consider myself pagan, I have Scandinavian and Native American DNA, also Irish. But I can relate to feeling like things were better when it was the old Gods who held sway. We're talking about a religion that predates Christ by a long shot. I think by saying they were evil was just a way to confront a religion that in a lot of ways was forced upon them. Well, right or wrong that's my take. I do wish they could've set aside differences but let's face it, they were decendants from a very warlike society.

The whole thing is still a matter of controversy.Many say it was after a woman, but the most believed fact is that Varg Vikernes had a kind of rivalry with Euronymous.To clear this up, Euronymous was the pivotal figure in the Norwegian Black Metal. Around the late 80s, hell lot of Norwegian bands were playing the old school death metal, but Mayhem was one of the bands that was emerging as brutal black metal band in the underground, the sound heavily influenced by Bathory and Celtic Frost.Mayhem released Deathcrush in 1987, something I would describe as a horrible album depicting Hell at its finest. Horrible because the album was extremely poorly produced, and you could hardly understand what the vocalist was saying.It was around 1991 that Euronymous basically ‘converted’ all the Norwegian death metal bands into black metal. Oslo's Black Death, which had already released a full-length called Soulside Journey, became Darkthrone. Bergen's Old Funeral became Immortal, and Old Funeral's guitarist Kristian Vikernes formed his own project called Burzum.Euronymous then took Vikernes, five years his junior, into his wing.But then Dead committed suicide in 1992, and Necrobutcher left Mayhem, so Euronymous decided to offer Vikernes the spot of the bassist. Attila Csihar joined Mayhem as the vocalist. Csihar, who was a vegetarian, was disgusted by Mayhem's stage antics, because of all those pig heads and blood used in their gigs.Burzum released three albums from 1992 to 1994, but the problem was probably because Euronymous had delayed the release of the albums.Plus, after Dead's suicide, Euronymous had gone insane and was considering himself as a God figure. Or is that just a rumour? I mean, it's been confirmed that after Euronymous found Dead when he killed himself that he took some shards of his shattered skull and made a necklace from it, and gave some pieces away, but there was another claim that he had made a stew or something from bits of Dead's brain? I don't know if that's true or not, but someone who knew Euronymous said that 'he had always wanted to eat flesh,' Does anyone know if Euronymous seriously ate some bits of Dead's body? BQ: Hi! Varg affirms that police in Norway interogated people that said there was. The judge did not accept those testimonies and reports from the police because for the judge Varg did not know, even Varg heard.
