What do you think Chris Christie's pants size is?
60 I think I hope this was of use!
What does Chris Christie think of Jeb Bush?
I definitely don't know either of them personally. But I can imagine that they are rivals of sorts. Chris Christie recently said that his potentially 2016 candidacy for president won't be affected by Jeb Bush's decision to explore the possibility of running. But the truth is that Jeb Bush running is bad news for Christie because their views overlap on many issues. They are both moderate, establishment Republicans. They both appeal to the wing of the party that supports a generally smaller, less regulatory, more business-friendly government that is a little more hawkish on foreign policy and national security. They're very mainstream, in the vein of Mitt Romney. They both appeal to those who are driven more by pragmatic general election appeal factor (to political moderates and independents) as opposed to those driven by conservative Tea Party ideology. Because they both share a national base of pragmatic, business-friendly Republicans, their potentially supporters and donors overlap. There isn't room for both of them, and if they both plan to run it will be a race for those limited resources. So I'd say they are eying each other as dangerous rivals in the race for the moderate slot on the 2016 GOP primary ballot.
What do you think is going to happen to NJ Governor Christie?
State officials in NJ are accused of causing traffic jams in a area where a Democrat refused to support Christie. This is the kind of thing Nixon was accused of. Nixon had the temerity to conduct espionage against the Democrat reelections headquarters in the Watergate building. So expect the media and the Dems to be as vitriolic and vengeful as they were with Nixon. Governor Christie is about to get scrutinized like never before. On the other hand when 4 Americans died in Benghazi? No real story there. Despite the witnesses never being brought forth etc
Is NJ Governor Chris Christie gay?
I have heard people say that Governor Christie of New Jersey is gay, but is in the closet. I live in New Jersey and it doesn't matter to me whether the governor is gay or straight, I am just curious because I have now heard it multiple times. Before you say he can't be gay because he has a wife and kids, remember previous NJ governor Jim McGreevey had a wife and kid and he was a self-proclaimed gay!
What do people like about Chris Christie?
Americans generally like fat people, who they find to be jolly and unthreatening, even if they're assholes.I'm serious, but to be a little more substantive, what is "likable" about Chris Christie, other than his "Jersey tough" self-confidence (to people who still prize such things), is, not his "balls," but in fact something more like the opposite - the intense desire to preserve his political viability that leads him to refuse to follow the even more extreme members of the conservative wing of his party (the only one left, really), most of them accountable only to similarly conservative district- or state-level constituencies, over the national political cliff that threatens to end their status as a major political party (and would quickly threaten his near-term future in a blue state in which he barely won office in an off-year). The recognition that Katrina-like conditions could torpedo his political career after Sandy, for example, led him to tie himself closely to the President of the opposite party (not insignificantly against a rival who might displace his own ambitions) and call out members of his own in an attempt to secure funds for his State, of which he admittedly is quite a partisan. Never mind that he had previously ignored warnings about the impact of such storms - the academics he still loves to deride are apparently among the "fools and time-wasters" referenced by Kelly Erickson - and taken retrograde actions on climate change, which he continues to doubt, and other environmental matters. It doesn't hurt his popularity that he's a savvily self-promoting social media user, and, though very much a suburban social conservative with a history of questionable statements and policies directed at women and minorities, at least someone cognizant of the inhumanity of intolerance, less bad than the sort of trogolodytic homophobes and racists you find among Southern and Midwestern Republicans in Congress.
What do you think about Chris Christie becoming Chief of Staff for President Trump?
I’d feel better about Christie than almost any other option.Despite “Bridgegate” Christie has a pretty good run as a straight shooter and I suspect, given his personality, that he can counterattack when Trump goes ballistic.Trump needs a moral and ethical hand to counteract his worse impulses and while Don McGahn did the hat for months no one else seems able to handle him. Chris Christie probably can handle the boss.It looks like, as of today, we got Mick Mulvaney. This I don’t like. Mulvaney is pretty up front that he can be bought and I’m not sure the good of the country figures in to his calculus.Mulvaney is weak too. He can’t stand up the Boss. Trump might get him into real trouble latter on.
