Need a name for my manga character?
Before you say something stupid about me not being Japanese I don't care. This is more of a hobby then it is anything else might give a few copies to friends and family but that's it. anyways looking for a name for a male character that could compliment the main characters features and the name has a nice ring to it. So here is a little bio about the character 1: he is a soul eater (and not like the anime soul eater), 2: he has wings 3: he is a very moral person when push comes to shove although he can be pervy at times 4: He lives in a supernatural world.(not the one with Sam and Dean Winchester) 5: He can be very understanding of feeling even though he can't take a hint from girls that like him. 6: if he eats something's soul then he gets an attribute of that thing (vampire, werewolf, angel, demon, etc.) 7: he can't die no matter how many times he gets the **** beat out of him from his female friends when he gets pervy 8:He a the 13th son (It has to do with him being a soul eater) 9: and mix in a little of the behaviour of David Tennats (tenth) version of the Doctor From Doctor Who 10:He was born on a Friday the 13th Things that his name could mean: Soul Collector ( I like this one) Icarus (this is just a name I like because he has wings) Moral I would like it to be a Japanese name (because when he was orphaned (more like given up because he is a 13th son and his parents abandoned him because they thought he was bad luck) before he was named and the Japanese nurse who took him in decided to call him (Fill in blank)) It could be just a first name even though I would prefer a last name that compliments the first. and sounds good when spoken. Also please don't refer me to a baby names site I've looked and I can't find one I like that is why this question is here in the first place.
What are the real names of manga characters?
Manga characters have names chosen by the author. So, regardless of how strange the name is, generally the name they go by is their 'real' name. This is of course only true if the translator translated it accurately, as Japanese names are chosen based on kind of using 'words' as names. Like Sea and land, Marisol, coming from 'mar' 'y' and 'sol'. (This is a bad example as it is Spanish.) How many characters should a manga have?
well it all depends on the story but you should never come on here asking for manga advice. thats the last thing a mangaka ever does. like you know all the fan letters sent to mangakas saying they want more of this or less of that or should add this or you should take this out? and you know why they never listen? its because its their story not the fans! if you think 9 is too much then take some out. if you like that number leave it like that. its you writing the story not us. they only time you should ask for advice is when you're asking your editor a professional who knows what he's talking about..hopefully long story short you decide not us!
What do you think if some boy make cosplay female characters from games and anime?

Which anime/manga character do you relate to the most?
Kasane.I've read so many manga and watch so many anime, and I found some of character that I like or I feel sympathise. But when I read Kasane, there are part of myself think that the main character is me. Indeed. Personally.The way she thinks about a thing. The way she fakes a smile. The way she speaks the lie.Kasane is an ongoing Japanese slice of life suspense seinen manga series written and illustrated by Daruma Matsuura. If you want to read a not-so-horrifying horror manga, I recommended it.The story and characters are mesmerising. No key character is one-dimensional—while we see the darker, selfish, human side, we also see the fears, insecurities and anxieties that drive characters to these ends. There is emotional violence.Kasane is not an evil person. She has a conscience, but she recognises that there is no turning back and that it is hypocrisy to wallow in guilt. Should my manga characters have Japanese names?
...i'm writing a manga story and i'm stuck on wether or not my characters should have Japanese names or French and German names!!! I noticed that all of the big time manga/anime characters all have Japanese names (like Naruto and Bleach)... my story is also in the same genre as Naruto and Bleach too. So what should I do? I feel like if I trully want my manga to become HUGE I should use Japanese names... Please tell me your opinions and reasons for telling me your answer!!! And please don't mention that I could use Japanese, French and German names because I just want to use either Japanese alone or French and German names together.
