What does “liberal” mean?
Now I live in the UK and have always described myself as fairly liberal. Often, on these pages, I am told that it is because I am a liberal, that I accept AGW. Whilst I regard this as entirely coincedental, I am often struck by the derogatory nature of the comments that accompany these statements. It is as though "liberal" is a dirty word; an insult! It seems to be mainly americans who hold this view so I'm wondering how much difference in meaning there may be between the UK, the US and any other part of the world. So, with that in mind, what do you understand by the word "liberal"? How "liberal" are you? Your nationality? Your view of AGW? Finally, what do you think of the idea that only "liberals" accept AGW?

WOW! where do I start…? I will just go with my biggest pet peeve.Liberals think that if we oversupply people who make poor and self destructive choices in their lives with more financial resources that somehow that translates to a better life decisions will be made….WTF!…really?Let’s play it out…if you give people more money that will translate to putting in more job applications, dropping their addictions, finding housing, going to school, signing up for job training and they will stop having unprotected sex. Again…WTF!

Liberals remind me of the teacher's pet from school who couldn't conform socially so they sold everybody out & started working for the hierarchy. Then they became adults & now they sold us out to the communist elite dictators.
