What Do You Think Of The Million Second Quiz

How long is a million seconds?

Exactly 1/1,000th of a billion seconds.

Does NBC's Million Second Quiz have disregard for Jewish contestants (as the show is scheduled to run through the Jewish High Holy Days)?

NBC isn't forcing anyone to be Jewish or observe Jewish holidays.  That's their choice.  And if that means they miss out on some programming, it's their fault. Networks can't be expected to cater to everyone's religious whims. If the holiday was significant enough to impact ratings, then NBC would make a business choice not to air the show, as they do for some national holidays or sporting events.

Anybody know the theme song for NBC's Million Second Quiz?

I was wondering the same and stumbled upon your question. I just figured it out: All Night by Icona Pop.

How many consecutive days does 1 million seconds equal?

Thank you very much for an interesting question! Dear Avinash ji.1000,000 seconds/ 60 = 16666.66 minutes...16666.66 /60 = 277.77 hours...277.77 /24 = 11.574 days means….12 consequtive days. Answer.

How long would it take a human being to count to 1 billion one at a time?

You may think it would take a billion seconds. That's 31.7 years. But the answer is not that simple. Take 999,999,999. Unless you can speak really quickly, you cannot say this number in just one second. That's just one unique number, right? Wrong. 9/10 of all numbers you will count will have the same amount of digits. It takes about 2.5 seconds on average to say a 9 digit number so I will use that. It can then be estimated to take 2.5 billion seconds (79.25 years) to count to a billion. You can be more precise and continue down with 8 digit numbers but this is a good upper bound value.Coincidentally, the life expectancy at birth in the US is around 79 years, so if you somehow knew the numbers the second you were born and started counting then, it would take all of your life to count to a billion. This can't happen however. You wouldn't be able to sleep, work, or eat. If you devoted 8 hours to counting, then it would take 237.25 years so your offspring would have to continue your legacy. As a side note, there is a trick to counting to higher numbers without spending too much time. Count to 100, then restart, but keep track of all the 100s you have counted. You can count a number a second now. With 8 hours of counting a day, and using 31.7 years from earlier, it would take 95.1 years.Overall, you would most likely die before you finished counting to a billion, one way or another.

If I give you $1 million right now, what would you do?

If you gave me a million dollars, I’d never stop thanking you.But what I’d spend it on?$500,000 for a house, first of all.Something similar to this would do:Then we can have a safe place to live, without having to worry about rent!Second of all, I’d put some money in the bank.Let’s say, about $250,000.$50,000 for my uncle, he recently moved to Europe and needs about that much to start his own business.$50,000 would be used for investing, like stocks and such. I want to learn how to make money and not have to rely on the free $1 million all my life.$25,000 is for my entertainment (gaming PC, videogames, lots and lots of pizza, a samurai sword, a pair of awesome headphones, and a few pairs of Nike’s should do).I’d get something like this.$25,000 to a charity of my choice. And the remaining $100,000 is for my parents. They can do whatever they want with it.I think they deserve a hundred grand, they’ve worked hard all of their lives.
