What do you think of the name Pippa?
I started to say I didn’t much like it, and I started to describe why I didn’t like it, but I couldn’t—I kept drawing a blank. So after a couple of minutes I decided I actually do like it. It’s not a name you hear often, or at all, and it’s the kind of name that kids are likely to make something funny out of which they will call her as a way of teasing her, because in the U.S. at least it’s an unusual name, and kids will glom on to names like that and make all kinds of jokes with them, because that’s just what kids do sometimes (I went through similar teasing so I can recognize a teasing magnet when I see it). But it’s a good name; it seems to convey strength, and cheerfulness, and energy, why it does I don’t know, but it does anyway. It’s also short, which impatient people like myself automatically like. A person named Pippa would not be lazy, and she would likely be a spotless housekeeper. What’s funny is that until you asked that question, I had no idea I thought all that about a name I have heard only once or twice before. It would be interesting to know the origins of the name, and if it actually has a meaning and what the meaning is.

Ive come to really like this name. My boyfriend made a joke about the name he said it sounds like the term getting "piped" or something... something sexual i assume. Also stuff about smoking pipe or something. Anyways- now hes got all these thoughts in my head about this name that i really like. what are your opinions??

What do you think of the name Piper or Rowan for a girl?
I like Piper okay but definitely prefer Rowan for a boy as it is traditionally. Personally, my favorite names for girls are traditional but unexpected like Lorelei. Piper is cute, definitely go with that if Piper and Rowan are your only choices.

Luv it! I think Piper Annabelle sounds so sweet. Just so you know about Piper Rose: Rose Piper is a British pop star who's a little tawdry. JIC that would bother you and your husband. I think a girl with the name Piper would be slightly artsy, petite, very pretty with strawberry blond hair and a sweet smile. She would be outspoken, aware, and want to be a veterinarian someday. She would always look up to her older siblings. Piper would be fun to be around and love to party but still know her limits. She's bubbly, charismatic and always looking ahead. Just my little fantasy :)

Yes pron like Savannah, we liked Nevada, but didn't want the whole " US state" title that goes with it for example, Dakota, Montana, Indiana etc. Another fav was Anna, so we just added them
