What Do You Think That Movies Nowadays

Do you think movies today are better than those in the 60s, 70s?

It’s easy to look back with a sense of nostalgia when thinking of the golden era of the ’60s and ‘70s. But the truth is in that time filmmakers held much of the power, not the studios. It meant films were controlled by artists. Now they are controlled by a committee of money people whose soul aim when it comes to a film is to turn a profit. With this in mind do you think films like Doctor Strange or even a celebrated film like Gravity (which is excellent for the record) will live in the memory the way something like The Godfather, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid, Harold & Maude, Alien, The Graduate, The Exorcist and The Graduate will? I doubt it, sincerely I do.The truth is era of cinema inspires the next so for many the films of that era mentioned are what now influence modern day filmmakers. But the modern day filmmakers are not given the creative freedom those filmmakers had and therefore they do not produce the same level of excellence. This is in spite of advances in special effects and filmmaking techniques…. or is it because of them? That’s a whole different debate. In short: No, movies are not better today than they were in the ’60s and ’70s. Not even close.

WHy is there so much nudity in movies nowadays?

Me and my blessed gransun went to watch Tarzan and all the folks was half naked, we had to get up and just WALK OUT. In my days Tarzan wore a Tuxedo and Jane wore a tweed sport jacket,

Do you think there's a lot of sex and nudity in movies nowadays?

Yes definitely. This is something that has bothered me for quite some time now. I'm an adult and I'm really not a prude. However, I will very rarely watch movies that have sexual content in it. I think it's disgusting, unnecessary and it definitely ruins the movie. Not only that, but I believe it caters to perverted men who go see these movies just for the sex in it. Such as the lesbian sex scene in Black Swan. I refused to watch that movie after I heard about that scene.

And these days it's not even "sex" in movies. It should be considered porn because of how graphic it gets. America is too much about sex, I hate it. I don't mind romantic sex scenes though such as The Notebook. But unfortunately there seems to be more trashy sex scenes than appropriately done ones.

I also believe such movies (along with other several factors) are having a negative impact on younger people/teens. I blame certain movies, tv, music, videos, the media, and bad parenting on how horribly some of today's youths are acting. Hence why some guys use girls and try to get many sex partners. They are raised to think it's "cool" and normal, thanks to all of the things I mentioned above.

Why do movies nowadays suck so bad?

it's sad to compare the utter bullshit hollywood pumps out nowadays compared to the older movies...for example shawshank redemption, the green mile... there are no special effects there, no fancy-*** bullshit. yet they're still THE greatest movies of all time and my personal favorites. there are so, so many old movies that i love and could watch over and over again. why do people keep watching the **** they show in the movies now? the disaster movie, epic movie... i can only name a few very rare exceptions, like Inception, Shutter Island, the LOTR series, memento... that's all that come to my mind.
why is it like this?

Why do people say that movies nowadays have too much sex?

If sex was an integral part of the movie, it would have been classified as pornography. Same goes for romantic movies. Romantic movies are supposed to illustrate something about deep passion/loss, not two people doing whatever position they are doing. Movies, in my opinion, focus too much on scenes that are related to sex/kissing, so much so the storyline has no atmosphere and is extremely "loose" in what it tries to convey. I believe this should serve as a rather worrying message that many of the public have been conditioned into liking anything that makes their boxers point.

People nowadays spend a lot of their time watching movies and television shows. What are the reasons for people choosing these forms of entertainment over traditional forms of entertainment, and what are the effects on them and their communities?

If you compare movies and theater/dance shows/concerts, the demands when being part of the public are just to tiring and stiff (dress up, put your mobile on silence, applaud even if you hated the show), so it is easier to stay at home and watch something. The content of modern traditional shows is also mistakenly trying to attract the public by going to extreme lengths, like inducing a reaction to the public by employing unaesthetic means (noises, ugly scenery etc). It’s perhaps a matter of taste, but I don’t like this. Anyways, competing with movie or TV shows is not the way to go for traditional entertainment, they should go for what these cannot provide, like human connection, a socializing opportunity, a remembrance of the past or others.Another reason might be that certain types of creators have withdrawn into other forms of self-expression or are just a species soon to be extinct. The “creator-manager” is a survivalist, but its products are - well, lacking an essential hearty feeling.Yes, communities are affected. We are progressively getting used to individual entertainment and find it easier and easier to be selfish. Paradoxically, the more honest we are in our alone-time judgement of the shows we watch, the more difficult is to express an honest opinion in public, where more conditioning has to be taken into account ear by year. So… why bother?

Why is it so hard to find a good movie nowadays?

Maybe you should broaden your horizons a bit, perhaps you have seen too many hollywood movies (don’t worry I am a victim to that as well. So the solution… Why not give foreign movies a try? There are always good films around, a lot of them are good but you just haven’t heard of them yet.The following movies are from Denmark, France, and Japan. All are excellent (in my opinion), but do not get the exposure they deserve because of their given markets. The Hunt- A teacher lives a lonely life, all the while struggling over his son's custody. His life slowly gets better as he finds love and receives good news from his son, but his new luck is about to be brutally shattered by an innocent little lie.The Intouchables- After he becomes a quadriplegic from a paragliding accident, an aristocrat hires a young man from the projects to be his caregiver.Spirited Away- During her family's move to the suburbs, a sullen 10-year-old girl wanders into a world ruled by gods, witches, and spirits, and where humans are changed into beasts.

What do you think about superhero movies?

I believe most Marvel movies are made just to squeeze money. Altough i enjoyed Iron Man 1 and 2 back then (which are heavly criticised even by fans) now i see they all are (actually most) almost  the same movie. Let's see;Our hero has became what it is with various eventsOur hero rises against low level enemies and suchThen comes a nemesis which kicks our heros butt for a whileThen our hero stands up remembering a quote or his uncle or with some encourage and defeats nemesis.Sequels usually repeat steps 2-3-4 therefore mostly even more boring. Not only Marvel but DC does this too. Green Lantern and Superman Returns were made in the same way. Iron Man and GL were bad examples ok, just a lousy story with no background idea. Nolan's Dark Kinghts and Marvel's Daredevil serie(for the first season at least) was just a story with mostly (except for Jokers in DK) no background idea again but very well made. And then there is Watchmen. A true masterpiece if you ask me. It has action, history and sociological ideas that make people think while entertaining.About forthcoming movies; i have no expectation from Dawn of Justice and absolutely no interest in avengers. Suicide Squad and Deadpool(beacuse of his 4th wall thing) may be nice movies. Now i know that i'm making some arrogant assumptions and such but this is my thought on these movies. I've always had a very versatile taste in music and movies. I used to love hardcore action movies and even harder music but now looking for a meaning in stuff, feelings or ideas. Part of growing up and old i guess
