What Do You Want To Read About

What do you want to read?

I’m trying to write an adventure novel and I would like to know some things you guys would want to read (keep it clean). I want to be able to write a novel my readers are looking for. Now, when you answer this question, I don’t need answers like, “Well if you don’t know what to write, you shouldn’t be an author.” Or anything along those lines. I just want to know something you’ve always wanted to be turned into a book. And I will try to do that for you.

Would you want to read this? ?

It sounds really good. The writting is very descriptive so i can't even imagne what that actual content would be like. It's pretty much the appitimie of what i would read. I think that it would be really good if the relationship between Asher and his parent were more defined but i do understand that this is just a summary. If you ever need anyone to read it you can email me at santiagomariah@rocketmail.com. I think that it has lots of promise and if your not to stuck on the names that changing anna or asher because they are really similar. I personaly like it but the name could get confusing.

What do you like to read?

I often read the book The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It is a philosophical book which tells on how the destiny of a shepherd boy who was happy with the ' joys of carefree wandering' move on towards a treasure. The story can be realated very well with any one's life. If you are someone who wanted to or in the process of accomplishing some goal in your life you should definitely read this book. It tells of how one is attracted towards a goal through the concept of 'begginer's luck'. At the fisrt phase of journey everyone has a luck and gets enthusiasm but later on each step becomes tougher and tougher. There will be times when you get other easier opportunities and you may feel like stop moving but the only way to success is not waiting until you reach it. The concepts like ‘the soul of the world' and ‘maktub' tells one about the real life and makes one realize about the reasons of existence about every little thing in the world. There are certain words from the book which makes one realize on how one should live his life and which every person can use in life like,“It's not what enters men's mouths that's evil.. it's what comes out of their mouths that is”“ There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve; the fear of failure”“ Every search begins with beginner's luck and ends with the Victor's being severely tested”There are much more phrases in this book that can add energy to one. This book, I assure that will make changes in the minds of the reader.!!

What do people want to read about in a book?

My preferred genre is fantasy, and I like characters who don't quite fit in with the world (for whatever reason). I don't particularly like romance - if it's there and doesn't have explicit sex, it's okay as long as the rest of the book's decent. In fantasy, romance can sometimes be hard to avoid... but I really do prefer friendship to lovers...

I like villains to be sympathetic and a real challenge, not cardboard cut-outs that make stupid mistakes - I do not like villains that the author sets you up to hate. Examples of villains I like are Brandin from "Tigana" and King Haggard from "The Last Unicorn". A villain I don't like much at all is Voldemort.

I like heroes who don't succeed all the time and whose failures cost them - terribly. Or a hero who succeeds only to have the *success* cost them terribly. This is my favourite type, but it seems to be practically nonexistent in fantasy; "Tigana" and Peter Beagle's stories are the only ones I can think of.

However, the thing that will get me interested most of all is style. My absolute favourite books have a bittersweet tinge and look at the world somewhat askew. Example: Death, as he narrates "The Book Thief", desperately tries (with little success) to distract himself from his job by observing the colour of the sky as he comes to carry away the victims of WWII, and he has this darkly odd-funny-sad way of looking at things...

What type of story do you want to read about that hasn't been published?

They don't really exist. In terms on genre, nothing is really new, and nothing can ever really be 100% new. However, the story itself is unique every time (except in cases of plagiarism) so nothing that is published now has ever been published before.

Don't worry about what people want to see. Don't worry about being that unique book. A lot of books fail because they try too hard to be 100% unique/new/edgy. Since a writer is a unique individual, each of their stories will be unique just by writing them.

So I don't want anything to be published but what an author wants to publish. It doesn't matter what other people write: write your own story and it will be more unique and better than any active pursuit of newness.

What do you read and why do you read?

What will make you want to read a travel blog?

I want to read travel blogs that have a unique spin on travel. Show me the touristy places, but show a side of them I haven’t seen. Or show me places that are off the beaten path but still interesting. Talk about the culture, the food, the art, the music, the theater, the people, the religions, the currency, the humor…tell me everything about a certain area! Or pick one topic and go so in depth that it seems like your reader won’t find it interesting—but they will. But above all, make your voice uniquely yours as you write about it. You can copy formatting and style points from other bloggers, but the writing has to be all you. And make it interesting. If you read it back and it sounds boring, then it probably is. But get close friends and family to read your posts before you upload them to check for continuity errors and grammar and other things. Also, be creative. I don’t know how to expand on that more, because it’s so subjective.
