BUYING A WEDDING DRESS ONLINE?
Hi i was considering buying a wedding dress online,and i wanted to get opinions from women who ACTUALLY did, on what your experience was,pricing etc and also a legit site.
Can you trust buying wedding dresses online?
I had one friend of mine purchase her dress online. She had gone to david's bridal and actually tried on the dress first though. Then when she went to order it at the store they said it would take 6 weeks, so she got if off the internet and it was at her house in a week. That's about the only way I would order a wedding dress online though. You never know the quality, the picture you see could look totally different from the dress and there are some places online where you will place the order, get a crappy dress, you go to return it and the place doesn't even exist anymore and you're out money and stuck with a terrible dress. I know you think you might be getting a good deal, but I'd rather deal with someone in person when it comes to my wedding.
Why should I buy wedding dresses online any opinion?

Pay attention to the fabrics and fiber content-it might give you a few more clues about how the dress will look in person.And finally, be sure you have a person you trust for the alterations. It is really unfortunate if they are done badly.One other option for you is to seek out a local designer for something made just for you. If a modestly priced dress is your goal, my number one favorite fabric is Robert Kaufman’s Radiance. it is a 50/50 silk/cotton blend with wonderful sheen and drape-one side is more matte and the other side shinier. Many people use both sides for a subtle contrast. Last time I checked it was only about $19 a yard. Unbeatable.

How did you feel after buying your wedding dress?
i completely know how you feel. I tried on about 60 wedding dresses and found something wrong with every one. I am very very indecisive and so i thought id never find it. I just bought my dress last monday and i brought my mother along with my sister. in the past id go with my sister or alone. I thought if my mom came it would help seal the deal. When i put the dress i bought on, it was very pretty and i didnt know it was "the one " until my mom said it would make my fiance cry because of how beautiful i looked. I still had reservations but i couldn't find anything wrong with it so i bought it. After leaving i thought twice but i have showed it to people and have looked at it daily and i like it more and more.I am starting to feel like its the one! I think it is probably THE dress but you are feeling that "what if there is a better one out there?" i know i thought that but you have to feel confident and stop stressing. I went over budget by $500 and was making that an excuse for not liking it too. I like to make excuses and change my mind . Overall i am happy with my purchase and i know it will look great even if i didn't get that I KNOW feeling. our date isn't til 2013-15 months away and i am afraid i will change my mind in a few but i wont allow it and i know i will look great :) Just keep telling yourself that not to pyske yourself but to reassure because us indecisive people need that
Buying wedding dress without trying it on?
How many of you have bought your wedding dress before trying it on? Most of the dresses I like aren't available in Winnipeg, and aren't in Toronto either. I've only been looking at Maggie Sottero so I would have thought they would be much easier to find. Does anyone have experience just ordering a dress without trying it on? Should I maybe try on dresses with similar styles so I know what will or won't look good? Thx!
Will you rent the wedding dresses or buy?
I had my wedding dress custom made by my sister in law, so technically I rented it from her, because I don’t get to keep it, but I got a brand new, customly made and designed by her. The best part is it was free of charge!!! Hehe.If she didn’t make my dress, I would still rent it from a bridal. In Indonesia, usually the bride rent the pre-made one(they can alter the size), or rent the custom made one (so the designer makes a new one, you don't get to keep it but you can make it as you desire). We normally don’t buy wedding dress because we only wear it once, and it is not a tradition here to pass it on to our daughter.Here are the pictures of the dress on my wedding day:My dress when it’s on the making:
