What Do Youn Think About My Blog

What do you think about this blog post?

There are numerous studies that suggest gastrointestinal issues are more common in children with autism. The reasons for this are not all clear – a compromised immune system could be at play, sensory processing issues might be a factor, etc. but one thing is clear: my girl's had poop problems for years.

As a result I've become sort of a poop professional. (I certainly deserve an honorary advanced degree in poop clean-up). I love a good poop story, and it's fitting I'm telling one as my first blog post of the year! I have lots of photos of poop art masterpieces – one which involves a toenail-painted bare foot (… the foot was mine, the poop was hers). And once I was so intrigued by my child's poop that I wanted a doctor to see it so I saved it in a Ziploc bag and put it in the refrigerator. Too much?

From ages 2 to 4, she suffered with chronic diarrhea. The gluten-free, casein-free diet finally stopped the muddy rivers… and made toilet training possible. For the past year she's suffered from chronic constipation. We've tried a number of things – daily laxatives, suppositories, commode chants, to no avail. Last month we ended up in the ER because she'd been unable to go for nearly three weeks. The poor child was walking around doubled over, and oral laxatives only caused her more stomach pain. After a hefty dose of magnesium citrate even failed to do the job, we turned to the enema as a last resort.

What do you think about my blog?

Honestly, what is new about your blog? I don’t like it.InStories - An informative blog? You basically installed a WordPress platform with a Free theme (ColorMag) and are posting articles which are for sure have been available on many other websites for quite some time. Why should people sign up?Why do you have ads already on the website for a blog which is not even 5–6 months old?And donate button already? How much traffic do you really get? I don’t think it goes above 50 per day (just a guess). The logo is just a text.I understand you want to start a website but my friend, I suggest you pick one niche and do everything for that niche. Your categories are spread out into so many things, you won’t find writers and google won’t rank you on top if you have copy pasted content. And honestly why should someone join you or send their articles to you just for credits? I’ve seen these days 10 years ago and things have changed my friend. All the best with what you want to do.

What do you think of my blog?

Well, I admire your approach; I know a bit about how you might feel, with regard to your blog not receiving the ‘attention’ you’d like it to receive. I, too, manage some blogs which I sometimes feel is a ‘struggle’ to build very much “interest” in.Some blogs are more ‘attention-grabbing’ than others, and those bloggers who happen to ‘hit on the magic’ blog scenario with mega-traffic and followings and shares and REAL attention must have to work night and day to keep up with it all…AND, they have to have a VERY MUCH WANTED OR NEEDED “deliverable” (i.e., product, service, instruction, new app, game, etc.).I’ve put a fair amount of time into blogging, writing about some things I’m ‘passionate’ about, or things I’m ‘knowledgeable’ about, or things I’m ‘interested’ in. And, of course, my hope is that “everyone else is also interested in these things”, too.Naturally, that isn’t so. But it doesn’t mean the blogs aren’t worth doing, I don’t believe. So, I continue to do them; because I’ve learned that the most important aspect of blogging (for me, anyway) is to simply be able to share my slant, my opinion, my ‘take’ on things I feel strongly about. That’s enough for me.As it should also be for you…in my (humble) opinion. I visited and reviewed your blog, The Ankoryx Archive, and I read several of your posts and other pages there. You write very well, and you express your thoughts clearly and concisely. It’s also clear you research things well, and you clearly know your way around “all things website setup”, etc. Some of your blog posts remind me of some of my own blog writings, especially ones like It's bad for you!, Cats created the internet, It's Elementary!, The Ankoryx Archive: Appreciate it, The problem with America, and others.I suggest you continue building your blog(s) based on your interests and knowledge, and continue your intuitive approach for promoting and otherwise seeking interested visitors, followers, subscribers, and more.Best of luck!Just sayin’…

What do you think about fashion blogs?

I remember flipping the glossy pages of my mother’s Vogue, staring at the beautiful clothing. It was my fashionable companion that could transport me to amazing places. But the fashion industry has changed in the last ten years. Little girls no longer look to their mothers’ magazines for style advice and a sense of community. Instead they’ve replaced Vogue as the voice of fashion; there has been a shift, the massacre of the magazine and the rise of the blogger. I know that’s nothing new. “Print is dead” has been rattling around the blogosphere for a long time. That being said I want to explore the special nature of fashion bloggers – what makes them our friends and how their energy has driven influence in an industry that is – by it’s very nature – superficial.Through posting, reading and commenting, the blog-based fashion community is open to everyone with access to a computer. The end result is that the smallest fashion bloggers have become our friends, and we trust recommendations that come from friends.

Can You think of a good slogan for a blog?

"Who's your D'Addie? kidding
How about something like "Pull up a chair and we'll chat"

Like others here have mentioned, Hinglish is very hard to read and consider either writing wholly in English or Hindi for the sake of clarity, depending on which you are more comfortable with. While choosing, also consider the scope and aim of your blog. Are you writing exclusively for a Hindi-speaking audience or do you want a global reach? Look at your site stats and see where your traffic is coming from. If you plan to monetize your blog, it should be tailor-made to suit the tastes of the kind of people viewing your blog. Also, a personal blog might not be of interest to a large number of people. Does something mind-blowing happen to you every day that you can write about? What happens when you run out of post ideas? What do you think makes your story unique that people would be interested to know? Why should they take time to read your blog when there's plenty of helpful content that they'd rather be reading? These are some of the questions you need to answer before proceeding. Before jumping headlong into the money-making process make sure you do some solid research. A free WordPress site has very limited scope for earning through blogging. You are not in control of the code part of your website, so you can't use Google AdSense or anything of that sort on your blog. Your only option is WordAds, and I think it's only applicable if you have a custom domain, i.e. there is no .wordpress part in your blog URL. Upgrading to a custom domain provided by WordPress will cost you $18 per year (~ ₹1200). Also, they accept established blogs with enough traffic so that it's profitable for them. Fledgling blogs take a lot of time to get there, especially if you have a very specific audience. You can make money through other means as well, and here's a link to help you explore your choices -How To Make Money From WordPress.com Blog?

What do you think about my blog's logo?

The problems I see with your logo are that it’s not a cohesive design, and relies on other people’s artwork. It’s big and cumbersome—an amalgamation of multiple styles of illustration mashed with haphazardly placed type that don’t particularly suit the design. It won’t work at multiple sizes (imagine what it would look like at a 72px X 72px icon).I know this probably seems like a harsh critique, but try no to take it as such. This is what my eyes see.My suggestion: Try simplifying it. Choose one of the things you’ve used in your concept and focus on that, and try choosing a font that also works with the design. Stick to one style of illustration.Be sure to research logos and see how they work, what makes them attractive, and how you can improve your design. Read posts about logo design and see how other designers approach their work.
