What Does Ashley Study From The Film Smiley

What Hollywood star is the biggest jerk and why?

I am surprised no one has pointed out Ben Stiller!Ben Stiller is known to be a dick (specifically a dick) at least on set. Here is a recollection of someone who was just an extra in one of his movies:Ben Stiller was a dick. I get that directing and starring in a movie at the same time is a big responsibility, but OH MY GOD all he did was whine. And complain. And throw temper tantrums that made me embarrassed as a fellow human being. Seriously, he whined that the takes were taking too long to set up. He tantrummed that the crew members weren't moving fast enough. He argued. He complained. It was really awkward. Here he was, bundled up in a huge coat while all of the people in the shot shivered with NO coats, drinking coffee and bullying crew members as his very smiley and very blonde wife brought him Starbucks.-A person who gave a quote to an online magazine whose name I do not remember. She was an extra on a movie setAnd another:A friend of mine worked on the set of Tropic Thunder, and apparently Ben Stiller was a dick to everyone, he even fired someone because he thought they didn't put enough sugar in his coffee in between scenes, on the plus side though Jack Black was the nicest guy ever, and still emails my friend occasionally.-A person on reddit with a username rather than first and last nameHe even made #1 dick spot on some random website called “the richest” that I just looked up. It also includes several of the names already listed-15 Celebrities Who Seem Nice But Are Really DicksUPDATE: Quora is being a twerp and moderating this answer b/c I quoted rando people from the internet using quotation marks rather than block quotes. Don’t ban my account b/c I didn’t quote in the right format! This isn’t junior high! Clearly I’m not trying to pass someone elses info off as my own!

Where do I have the greatest chance of meeting a potential soul mate?

Bars seem so inherently "artificial" that I can't imagine anyone but "bar flies" meeting a soul mate there.  When I was younger and occasionally went to bars with friends, there finally came a point when I looked around there and  it came over me that there was something kind of sad about that whole scene.  That said;  Soul mates have deeply held beliefs and passions in common.  These things lend themselves to longivity in a relationship.  So it would follow that you should go to places and events where there will be people doing the things that you love.  I have had two people in my life that I actually felt were soul mates. (I know, amazing.) The first, I met when I was very young and it didn't work out.  The second, I met much later and am still with him.  I met the first guy on the beach.  We saw each other every day, late in the afternoon/early evening, playing and swimming with our dogs.  Or sometimes, we'd still be in our work clothes just walking our dog with a drink and obviously unwinding at the end of the day.  It was obvious that we had a lot in common but neither of us wanted to disturb the other's little respite.  We didn't communicate except to say hello for nearly a year.  Eventually, we ran into each other at a neighborhood shop and struck up a conversation.  We were together for several years before we parted.I eventually moved back to my home town/state where I had a country house with some property around it.  I had a big vegetable garden and spent countless hours in it planting, weeding, harvesting, etc.  After driving by and seeing me in that garden for months, my current (and permanent) partner finally just walked into my garden one day, introduced himself and asked if he could help.  It turned out that he had grown up on a farming plantation and still had an agriculturally related job.  The moral of my story:  put yourself in places where you will be seen doing what you love and maybe you will find each other.

Have you ever met a celebrity in your life?

I used to travel a lot due to official purpose back in 2014–16. Also, when you’re living in a city of dreams - Mumbai, you ought to meet lot of celebrities. I have met quite a few like - Rajpal Yadav, Vinod Khanna, Neha Dhupiya, Urmila Matondkar, Emraan hashmi, Kangna Ranaut, Revathi and Kajal Agarwal.Unfortunately I was shy enough to ask for pictures but Managed to muster some courage and clicked with few of them.I met Emraan Hashmi when he was shooting for movie Ungli along with Kangana Ranaut. During 1 lazy afternoon me & my colleagues came to know that he is shooting near our office. Next minute we were outside his vanity. He was kind enough to allow us in his vanity and clicked pictures with us. I must say he is way better in real life than his reel life image. You can make out who he is staring at? Yes its Me. Its just the magic of the photographer that he captured the right moment. Though My friends still tease me for this pic.In 2015, I was traveling to Hyderabad for an official visit and you can’t believe my luck, my seat was next to Kajal Agarwal of Singham fame. I was allotted middle seat in the 2nd row and there was no Business class in Indigo & she got the window side.Oh I can’t tell you how special and amazing I felt. Today if I think about it, I feel stupid but back then I was huge bollywood fan. Kajal Agarwal is an amazing person. She spoke to me during the whole journey and was curious about my work profile. I am sure many had bad experiences with bollywood celebrities but not everyone is rude.Say cheeze!Aishvarya - Thanks for the Edit Emraan Hashmi.

What are some funny or bizarre movies that I should watch?

The movie that should have been in the Oscar Nomination list: Swiss Army Man (2016)The story is about a young man stranded on the island for weeks and is on the verge of committing suicide. That’s when he found a dead body on the beach who farts. From the beginning, this movie would hold your attention not only for its supernatural (or inexplicable) scene but the sensible commentary shown implicitly. Not that this movie would give you just a weird concept but let you contemplate how bizarre the society norm.Next movie was nominated for its original screenplay: The Lobster (2015)Quite evident from the poster, this movie is about finding love but not in this era. This is the time near dystopia when a person is allowed to be single. And if they are then they need to find a ‘Soulmate’ in 45 days while staying in hotel. If failed they must live a life of an animal what have chosen.Bizarre Enough?Yes, both are funny. In fact, Satirical!Image Source: Google Images

If you could serve on any Enterprise (Star Trek), which would you pick, and why?

That is a hard question to answer.Definitely not any of the ships Kirk commanded. While I do like the aesthetics of the Constitution Refit, they seemed very cramped and that would make me very anxious. If we are adding the Enterprise from the new movies, most certainly not unless I have a death wish. I really don’t want to die under the command of one of the worst captains ever of anything. Not the Sovereign class either. It was made to be too much of a warship for my liking. Yes it is advanced, but it is also sent to conflict zones (unless the Borg are involved, although it still turns up without orders) and I would want to avoid that if possible. Not the Enterprise-B either, purely because although the Excelsior class is probably my favourite ship class we never really saw enough of it on screen to get a picture of what it would be like to serve on it. And not the C, because of what happened to it.So that leave the NX Enterprise, and the D under Picard. And that is a tough one. The D was sent on missions of exploration and diplomacy, and that suits me fine. You are on one of the most advanced ships at the time, with an incredible amount of creature comfort and a captain I respect the hell out of. The NX had a similar mission, but has a more pioneering feel to it. Being the first to go places and be a leader in a field of research or something is definitely a major attraction. And yes, it is a cramped space, but doesn’t have hundreds of people aboard so that is a plus.I am going to have to say the NX-01 Enterprise under Archer. Because I would love to be the first person to go out there and meet cultures we haven’t heard of, see planets and stars that boggle the mind in terms of science. And be on a ships faster than anything before it.

What is the most underrated movie of 2016?

Captain FantasticI’m disappointed to see how underrated Captain Fantastic is… Here is why I find it to be one of the most original and beautiful pictures of 2016 :The film is about the eccentric and autodidact Cash family that lives independently in the woods, and that after tragedy strikes, has to face American suburbia.Matt Ross captures the contrast between the Cash’s left wing, intellectual, and anti-capitalistic views with the American way of life. For example, the family celebrates “Noam Chomsky Day”, a day that celebrates notable American linguist Noam Chomsky instead of Christmas. The children all hunt, and converse about Trotsky, the Bill of Rights and Nabokov on a daily basis. The film is thus an outsider’s vision of American society that the children naively discover, “What is Coca Cola ?” quizzes one of the girls at a fast food. The film also explores the theme of Man’s return to nature in the 21st century. Can Man really create a Utopia, “a paradise”, by leaving society or will it eventually not work out as stated Rousseau ? Can one mould a critical, informed, and educated mind, a perfect “philosopher” as Ben Cash claims, in the wilderness without interacting with others ? Those are the questions that are raised by Ross throughout this original, magnificently shot film.Viggo Mortensen’s subtle acting is spot on, playing a stern, yet loving father. And the bond between each member of the family is very realistic, forming a believable family unit. Also, the characters are very well drawn, and don’t become mere clichés like in many family flicks : each member of the Cash family has a role that differentiates him and renders him unique.
