My experience with frontin' (fronting) is when someone "fronts" someone a product or money... ...giving someone something for free, with the agreement that that person will pay it back at a later time, usually not a long time from the time of the "front".... kind of like a loan. The slang is used a lot in the drug world. i.e. "Front me the drugs and I will give you the money when I sell the drugs." The dealer is frontin the drugs to the seller.
