Dreaming of a dead relative dying again. What does it mean?

Hello there, last night I had this really strange dream, the description will be quite flustered since I cannot remember it properly and it was a disarranged dream itself.

The actions were set in the future, it was supposed to be October 2013. The academic year at university was about to start. It was the first day, I had to attend my courses but I woke up late, I had to be quick, I had to go, but my mother was slowing me down. Suddenly I see my father, who has been dead for about 4 years, sitting on a chair, sickly and frail. I walk towards him, we hug, he tells me something, but I can't recall what that was. I help him lie on the bed, in what was supposed to be my bedroom. Open up the windows, turn on the air conditioning. The wind was blowing forcefully, I try to close the windows but he tells me not to. I walk towards the bed, we hug again. "You have to leave now, Anna". "Alright". I leave.

The university was one strange place, not as I remembered it; all but a maze. I couldn't find my class, the stairs were floating in the air. I would be there, trying to walk them, yet they would move, and I would risk falling off of them. In the end I did it though, and reached the class I was supposed to attend. But it was over.

Went back home, my father was dead. I wasn't surprised. A river's muddy waters started inundating the city. They weren't too deep. I started to swim through them. A hand came towards me, from beneath the waves. I grabbed it, it was reeking death. Immediately swam away from it but it kept following me. I arrived in front of my house, the waters have retreated. It still followed me, tried to attack me. The hand was now a full body. I hit it, countless times, on the head and all over. It turned out to be just a plastic mannequin.

I'm sorry, this was a bit long but it was one of the most absurd dreams I've ever had. Is there something my mind is trying to tell me? Might be just me being odd. Lol.

If I see a dead relative alive in my dream again and again what did it mean?

That can happen for several reasons. To begin with all dream characters represent some aspect of you. Your subconscious speaks to you through this.Which aspect of you does that person represent? You can answer these questions to find out.Q. What kind of a person was he/she during their life time. What qualities did you associate with them? If you were to describe them in one word what would it be?That word describes that aspect which is being shown in a dream. For example I dream of my Aunt frequently. As a person I knew her to be very religious and traditional, docile and a homemaker. Therefore I will focus on those aspects of me.If the death is recent. It could just be processing. If the scene repeats itself in your dreams there's something that you need to pay attention to.Lastly, it could be a direct communication. Were you attached to that person emotionally? Do you miss him/her? Was there unfinished business between the two of you?You need to give details. Each dream is subjective to the dreamer. It is useless to apply a dream dictionary interpretation.

Does having a dream about a dead relative hugging you and smiling mean something good?

Because I have a mischievous streak, I am tempted to say “It means you are about to die,” but that’s really only my mischievous streak displaying it’s monkey’s tale. Realistically, the answer depends a great deal on whose theory you accept. Freudians generally believe that dreams are a ‘wish fulfillment’ function, which means that you *wish* you could see, hug, and smile at your dead relative. Jungians, in contrast, view dreams as the unconscious bringing you information that you need to know about yourself. Using Jungian tools, you may want to ask yourself, “What does that dead relative mean to me?” That is, did you have a good loving relationship with that person, or a tense standoffish relationship, or something in-between? Then you would want to ask yourself, “What part of me is like that dead relative?” Those are two steps of dreamwork that are detailed in Robert Johnson’s wonderful book, “Inner Work.’ Johnson was analyzed by Jung, so he knows how it is supposed to be done.

Meaning of dream of dead family member?

yes he could be trying to contact you ,dreams are the easiest conduit for the newly departed to contact us. As for if this could be a warning, yes ,but look at your personal life first .Is there anyone your having a conflict with perhaps an older domaneering male ?This could be the person in the kitchen. But to be on the safe side ,be a little extra cautious for the next couple of weeks . It's curious that you only heard your brothers voice . Usually the person will appear in an idealized form. To know if its really a visitation you must look into the eyes , they are the windows to the soul , When and if you see them you'll understand what I mean
