What Does It Mean If I See Things That Are Not Really There

What does it mean to see a black cat that is not really there?

It is nothing but visual hallucination. Which is
false perception of something that is not really there. Hallucinations may be visual, auditory, tactile, gustatory (of taste), or olfactory (of smell). They may be provoked by psychological illness (such as schizophrenia) or physical disorders in the brain (such as temporal lobe epilepsy or stroke) or they may be caused by drugs or sensory deprivation. Hallucinations should be distinguished from dreams and from illusion (since they occur at the same time as real perceptions and are not based upon real stimuli).
I think you should have a counselling with a good psychiatric or just forget all these
best of luck

Does LSD really make you see things that are not there?

If you mean like flying elephants and bugs no, that's more of a deliriant (Robofrying from cough syrup, pcp) but it does cause you to see very intense changes in color, mixing of the senses (being able to 'see' music waves in the air) and general feeling of wellbeing and happiness being connected to the world. You would be expected to see walls breathing, tracers, and geometric shapes ( kaleidoscope like). So technically it doesn't cause true blue 'hallucinations' just perception changes of what already truly exists.

What does it mean when you see cats that aren't really there?

ok this may sound weird but i see cats just out of the corner of my eye they run round corners or walk pass me the thing is i see them in shops at work places where there aren't any cats i can't make any sense of it. what does it mean

What is it called when you see things that are not there and how do you cure it.?

Ok so I have been seeing things a lot and um yeah i don't know what it is called and not Imagination. I am actually seeing them and I'm scared to death. They have tried to kill me. Well that's what they look like. I have tried to ignore it but I start to go in a stage type thing that I stutter breathe. I really wanna know what it is called. I wanna know more of how to cure it. My mom says I don't have it but she don't believe me. I have not gone to a doctor for it. My mom doesn't believe me. So how do I stop being scared and stop seeing them. People who have had it or have it Please tell me especially. I'm so freaking scared it is not funny. I am 12 years old and have asthma which makes the stutter breathing worse.

Does anyone ever see things in their dreams and later in life see the exact same thing and freak out for a couple of seconds?

Yes that happens and happens many a times. One should understand the ‘dreams’ and their occurrence in order to understand your question. Dreams are nothing but a way of another thinking of your mind without help of a social language. When we think we think in a language, any language but our thought process is clearly channeled by languages. Even our desire and emotions are portrayed by language. But the mind does not have any language or one can say that it thinks in pictorial language. There are pictures for every thought and emotion. If the mind thinks of flying it will portray a flying bird, a plane or for that matter a ‘Superman’. If the your legs are wet during your sleep you would find yourself in a water body. These emotions and desires, in our wake up condition, originates from the different accumulations we continuously gather in our day to day life and somewhere in a day time when we are fully relaxed and are happy there are ‘visions’ also. They are very few and occurrence of them is very rare but they happen. Not necessarily any earth shattering vision. Simple vision like one is going to a barber shop from a particular route or any such insignificant incidents. The human conscious is capable of looking into the future, what is required is one’s consciousness is free and should be placed higher than that of others. It is a very normal thing and most of us experience it during our life journey. These incidents get imprinted in your semi conscious mind and are revealed through your dreams. When you see the dream and the real happening thereafter you freak out, why? you have thought of that incident on the first hand. Our consciousness is capable of many things if don’t engross in mundane things the World offered us to defuse the extra ability we are born with.

Why am I seeing things that aren't really there?

An amateur Q&A site will not be able to answer this for you.You might get lucky and hear from a doctor here, but even that will just be his or her medical opinion.I am not a doctor and can't offer you any medical advice. However, seeing things that aren't there is not normal, and you should definitely talk to a doctor to try and figure out what's up. Hallucinations can be a sign of serious medical problems, both physical and mental.First of all, if you feel threatened, depressed, overly stressed, or suicidal, please contact a medical professional right away. Don't give in to despair; get help. Call a hotline, visit the ER, reach out to a psychologist, enlist your closest friend, whatever you need to do to get help right away. If you are feeling mostly OK, you should still plan to have a medical evaluation. Again, seeing things that aren't there is not normal, and can be a sign that something is wrong.Start a hallucination diary. Take note of:the date, the time of the hallucination, what you are seeing, where you are when it happens, how long it lasts, how you are feeling before it starts, how you are feeling afterward, whether you have a physical reaction to it,whether anything that you did made it start, whether anything you do makes it go away, or any other relevant information.Once you have recorded this information for at least a week, contact a medical professional. A record of your experiences will help them to figure out what's going on with you, and prescribe a solution that might help your unique situation. Best wishes.

Seeing things that aren't really there?

what is the professional term used to describe someone who sees things that aren't really there and nobody else can see it? for example, someone is pointing to a bookcase that isn't really in the room, and the other person can't see it, but the other person is sure that it is there. what causes it?

Do you really see things when you hallucinate?

Yes is the short answer. If something interrupts how your brain processes information or distorts your processing of visual information you vision is impaired and you will see things which are not there. In the same way as when you drink too much alcohol and your vision becomes blurry. This is a type of hallucination as your brain is not processing the visual information accurately. If you consume hallucinogens like LSD you will hallucinate, both visual and auditory. For example, patterns may appear to move or form giving a liquid feeling to your surroundings. Tracers, like aura can appear around things, and time can appear distorted. When people are hallucinating their pupils are often dilated, a very real indication of the change in their perception.

Do you see things that others cannot see?

Yes, I can see auras. I have told my family and a few close friends, and almost no one (other than my family) has believed me.I first noticed this ability at around age 6, when I was talking to my grandma about different colors around different objects. She is religious and spiritual and she taught me about auras and their significance. While she was telling me how some people can see colors around different objects, suddenly, my eyes refocused and I could see those colors. Ever since then, I have been able to see auras.I haven't met anybody who has the same ability as me, although I don't necessarily ask or broadcast to the whole world that I can see auras (funny, that's what I'm doing right now I guess).I don't know how to explain it, but when I want to see an aura, I see it. My eyes just refocus and everything goes into a blur other than the surrounding colors of an object or person. I sometimes do this when I am giving a presentation and want to blur out the audience in order to feel more calm. I can see a multiple colors around people or objects, but it is not overpowering or any aura too large. It is layers of colors on top of each other and I can probably see 3–4 layers of color.I remember one time my dad was mad at me and was screaming, and so I decided to see his aura. Usually, the colors of people's auras’ is blue or yellow; this time it was red. That was when I knew that my brain wasn't playing tricks on me, and that this actually meant something. I have looked stories up, but there isn't much online about people who can see auras.I am assuming other people cannot see this, but please, if you can, PM me or comment on this. I would love to hear your story.
