What Does It Mean To Dream Of A Deceased Loved One Being Lost

Vivid dreams of deceased loved ones?

My mother died about 4 months ago and my 28th birthday is Monday. She had been ill for about 15 years and I used to talk to everyday on the Telephone.

Last night I dreamed that I was driving to work and she called me and asked me when I was coming home for my birthday (I live about 2 hours from my family). In the dream I thought I would make her sad if I told her I thought she was dead. I said that I was planning on leaving Friday but I changed my mind and I would be leaving after work today and I would take Thursday, Friday and Monday off so that I could see her. She said that would be nice.

The stream stuck me as being so vivid and realistic. Her voice especially sounded like hers and even though we talked on the phone I could still see her some how. My driving to work felt like a dream but everything about her felt like reality.

I don't know if it was her or not but it definitely made my upcoming birthday happier.

Deceased loved ones coming to me in my dreams?

I lost a close friend of mine last September. She was 22. she died with her 1 year old son and her sister in law in a car accident. At the time of her death she and I hadn't talked in 4 years and I didn't know she had died until almost 3 weeks later.
3 weeks after she died another friend died. he was also 22. Also in a car accident.
Then back in March I lost another friend, he was 21. He drowned after getting drunk so he could do a really stupid dare. He should've known better.
I am not a religious person, I'm agnostic, but after all this I've turned to religion to try and help me cope. Whether I will join a church or any religion in particular is still up in the air. Right now I just want to get better.
Well about 2 months ago my dead friends started appearing in my dreams. The first friend never talks to me in my dreams but her son is always playing with me. I never met her son when he was alive. Usually when the 2nd friend appears in my dreams he's always playing basketball (He was an athelete). I'm usually sitting in the bleachers watching or playing some 1 on1 with him when the baby appears again and wants to play some more.
I swore that if the 3rd friend ever came to visit me in my dreams I was going to punch him for the stupid thing he did. when he did appear I was going to punch him when the baby appears again wanting to play some more.
someone at work, who is really religious, said that if a deceased loved one appears in your dreams, it's their way of telling you that they've crossed over or something like that.
that being said, does the Bible or anything in church suggests something like this? My friend said that it's just her son making up for the time I never got to have with him.

What does it mean when a dead loved one is alive in your dream speaking mean to you?

Honestly, this is only my opinion….but after my mama died, I missed her so much that my heart actually hurt. I tried so hard to dream about her. I wanted to see her, hear her. She was a amazing woman who would do anything for you. She was strong and the rock of our family. Beautiful and honest to a fault. So, every night I would say “"please, please let me dream of my mom”. I would think about her until I fell asleep. It took about 2 years after her death and then it happened. In my dream my mama was standing there after she had just awoken from a nap. Now mind you….when she died - like many do - I only remembered the good times and the loving times. But in the dream….just as in real life, if mom napped past 30 minutes then she would be grouchy every single time. In my dream she had her hands on her hips and she very angrily said to me “"you need to get over it right now”. She disappeared instantly and I was jolted awake. I was upset for days! Then I realized that was my mom's way of reminding me that everything was not always perfect. I felt at that moment like I had all my life when mom was angry at me. Two feet tall and wishing to escape. Would I change anything about my mom? NO. But she was a no nonsense lady and I believe she gave me the message that she would have in true life. Get over it. Move on. I have not dreamed about her since. So I believe that was her message from beyond.

What does it mean if you dream that a loved one dies?

Death is part of the natural cycle of life for human beings, plants and animals. In Tarot, the death card symbolizes the end of a phase or cycle and heralds new beginnings. This is often the case in dreams.

If you dream of the loss of your partner, analyze whether your relationship is in need of rescue or renewal. You may have hidden fears about losing your lover, or they may be drawing away from you. If you are already aware of problems, you may need to reflect upon whether you want to revive it or move on. If the person who died in your dream is a friend or family member, take a look at whether there are things that need to be said or at whether you need to spend more time with that person. Events like September 11 have shown us that we never know what the day will bring. We can not be reminded too often that life is short and unpredictable. You may be working too hard and missing precious time with those you love. Your dream may be an important signal to slow down and spend time with those you love most.

Dreams of death may be preparing you for inevitable end of a marriage or career. In these dreams, death is symbolic and it is unlikely that death will actually occur. The individual who passed on in your dream may symbolize an aspect of yourself that needs to be dealt with. For instance, dreaming of the death of your mother may express a fear that you are losing identity with your maternal nature. Your own death may symbolize a desire to be free of a situation. Look at the context to determine the meaning of your dream.

Dreams of loved ones who have passed on are widely reported and are a natural part of the grieving process. Dream research suggests that these dreams are actual visits from the departed and a means that the subconscious employs to help us heal. These dreams can occur immediately after their death or several years later. Cherish each one as a special gift. When these dreams occur, it may be helpful to plan a remembrance ritual for your deceased loved one. It can be as simple as planting their favorite flower or tree or lighting a candle. You might consider remembering them by visiting a place you used to go together or doing something you'd planned to do together but weren't able to. Performing this type of ritual regularly on a holiday, birthday or anniversary can bring comfort and healing. Our loved ones may leave this earth, but they never leave our hearts.

What does it mean when you dream of making love with your deceased husband?

You loved him very much! You were very happy when he was close to you, and you miss what you had together. Myself, I never was with another man, and our lovemaking was so special....and frequent. We were happily together for a little over 52 yrs. We got married when I was 18 & he was 19 yrs. old. So we grew up together and grew old together! One of the most rewarding things in the world! We also had 3 wonderful Sons. God new what he was doing, when he made Eve for Adam, as it can be one of the wonderful things in the world, with the right person! And we never had any doubts!
