I will tell what is my point of view here - If he had kissed you in absence of your other 2 friends and tried to make out after that 2 friend had slept, then I think he would had the little consciousness of what he is doing and that consciousness is what made him to quite when you had informed properly to not hurry up on this because if he had tried hard on you, you might shout and wake the other 2 friends. My suggestion would be, not to be in hurry on anything with regards to that guy. Volunteer yourself in talking to him, not about this but a general talks.
