What does it mean when a guy says i'm intimidating?

Hi i'm just kinda curious as to why guys say i'm intimidating,I know i'm not the prettiest girl in the world and i know there are plenty of women that are prettier than me but i dont get mad over it. I mean i've asked a guy friend to give me a scale of 1 to 5 of how pretty i am and he said im an 8 so i dont really get why girls are mad about a guy saying hi to me i mean i walk in a room and i get girls to look at me like they want to throw daggers at me and i have no idea why i mean i've always been nice to everyone cause that's how i was raised and sometimes i just sit down at the bar and just order a drink and i guys come over and want to pay for it and i even tell them they don't have to do that but they do anyways and i say thank you of course but than i get a group of women that give me the glare of death pretty much if you know what i mean i've asked a couple of my lady friends why do i get looked at in a wrong way all the time just for walking.by and they tell me its cause they are jealous that i am not only beautiful on the outside but inside too and they dont like that cause it takes they attention away from them and I've even asked my guy friends to get there oppinion and they its cause im intimidating and i ask them what they mean by that and they say its cause im too pretty for them and that im too good for them and i dont think i am i think i would make a man very happy to be my man but its hard to find a guy if all im looked at is too pretty and i just dont get why some women are so jealous i mean i've never done anything to them i mean should i just ignore them and let them be jealous and hate me? Cause i cant stop being who i am and im on the edge right now wondering what to do please help me

So could you please answer me why men think im intimidating and why some women hate me so much even though i dont do anything to them?

it means that mentally (even without knowing it ) he thinks of you on a higher level then him self. thats what causes us to get nervous around people. mentally you think your not good enough or that the other person is better than you. thats what he meant by intimidating. try to lighten the mood and make him feel more comfortable. that will make you seem less intimidating. good luck :)

When I was told that by a guy years ago I eventually learned that he meant HE feared he wasn't as "good" as me and that was intimidating. I also learned that he kept calling in the hopes of flipping the script. He spent the phone time trying to knock me down: what I said, how I felt, what I thought, what my interests were...you get the picture. I changed his name in my cell to "Don't Pick Up"...for your emotional well-being and growth, I suggest you do the same. Don't let this guy get away with making you really feel bad about yourself so that he can pretend to feel good about himself.

An intimidating guy is someone who you feel can kick your *** lol its true so you watch what you do. An intimdating girl has nothing to do with harm or even things that make you bad but based on what you present. Chances are when a guys says this about a girl the girl is very attractive, and presents in her body language that she needs a guy who is extremely good looking. So this makes a guy gun shy about talking to you if he is not mr. iam in the gym everyday. Also you maybe smart and a guy may feel that if he is not a genius or have a bunch of money that you would not want him. Also be aware of this most guys who are not used to dating think that girls do not like guys trying to talk to them in the street and even experienced ones if they want a relationship they tend to be shy about talking to women on the street, in stores or even in school if there not in your crowd.

People always ask me who my boyfriend is and it's always the same answer; No one. Some people will be like oh your to pretty to be single, and also a lot of people will tell me I'm beautiful... even people I don't know. it means that you are really pretty and probably smart- an all rounder which is WAAYYY out of the guys' league,

to stop them from being scared, approach them first- it will make them feel flattered and guys are just like girls, they gravitate towards people that make them feel good!
