What Does It Mean When I Can Feel My Finger Pounding

Is it normal to feel your heartbeat in your fingers?

Yes - IT CAN BE. HOWEVER,,,,I would want to know if it is bilateral or unilateral. Then I need age, general health. specific issues regarding vascular disease — diabetes, HBP, Lipid disorders, history of vascular disease for you OR in your family, current medications, and 20 other history issues. Any one of these could alert me to “something is wrong”.Then a standard physical for BP - in both arms, and detailed exam of peripheral vessels - with arms down and up above the head. There are upper extremity vascular issues in the shoulder that change with position of the subclavian artery as it leaves the thoracic cavity. Look up ‘Thoracic outlet syndrome” for specifics.THEN, keep in mind that the perception of pulse anywhere isn’t a vascular issue at all. It is a function of the neurologic sensors that function in our body to protect us from injury - heat, trauma, cold, and others. The nerve endings are responsible for the impulses in the brain that alert you to “something wrong”. Diabetic Neuropathy results in failure to perceive heat and other injury - so these patients would probably be LESS likely to feel a pulse in their fingers. It depends on which sensors are responsible for the sensation of the pulses. This is obviously as issue for the NEUROLOGIST.SO, the answer is “Probably Yes”. However good physicians are trained NEVER to say —- “don’t worry, it’s all in your head”. I didn't say that at any time over 40 years. I did a reasonable and complete analysis of any symptoms, and then told patients that I could find no serious disease process at this time.DISCLAIMER. This isn’t expert physician recommendation — I did not deal specifically with peripheral disease - vascular or otherwise. The Neurologist and Vascular Surgeon deal with it every day. I have no specific information upon which I can recommend any course of action - but you should discuss it with your doctor, and make decisions about tests or treatment based on that.RY MD FACC

What does it mean when my vagina throbs during sex?

It is from arousal. You are actually feeling your own heartbeat from the engorged blood in your genitals. Guys feel this too - you'll note that if a guy has a really hard erection, his penis will bob slightly up and down in time with his heartbeat.

It has nothing to do with "signaling sperm" - except, or course, that if your boyfriend could feel it it might add to his arousal and make him ejaculate faster.

On a related note, during orgasm, your vaginal muscles contract rhythmically, as do other muscles in your body. These involuntary muscle contractions are part of the orgasm process.

I hope that you masturbate regularly, and know how to give yourself an orgasm, so that you can show your partner how to do this during sex. Also, do not be shy about reaching down between you and stroking your clitoris during sex, and reaching further down sometimes and letting his penis slide in and out of your vagina between your fingers. Both of these techniques are excellent ways of making sure that you get more stimulated and satisfied with orgasms during sex.

What does it mean when I can feel my pulse in my fingers?

Okay, so I was just laying in my bed, texting, when I noticed this slight pulse in my fingers. Further inspection told me it was my heartbeat that I was feeling through my fingers. It kind of freaked me out, so I'm just wondering what it all meant...

Why does a wound usually feel like it is pulsing?

it is part of the local inflammatory process. The idea is to maximize blood flow to the area so that blood cells can rush their to do their job.Platelets help seal any wound openings in the blood vessels. Neutropils (white blood cells) go there to start fighting any infections. So do antibodies and other macrophages. However, this inflammation also restricts blood flow around the area so that the infection does not spread.Basically, you now have a large amount of fluid and cells trapped in an area to do their job, which makes the blood pressure in the area noticeable.

8 weeks pregnant and my heart is pounding tonight?

This is very normal. Being pregnant places an increased demand on the heart, to help the circulation of blood in the body. If I'm correct, there is a change in the valves of the heart to make this high demand possible. You can literally see your heart beating thru you're shirt. Later in my first pregnancy, I was able to feel my baby's heartbeat in my lower abdominal area (some say its not true that this can be felt, but a baby is a living thing, and their heartbeat is 3xs as fast as yours. I know what I felt!) Hope this helps you!

I'm 14 weeks and my heartbeats all over my body when I'm @ a rested stage in my day. Especially when I lay down to go to sleep @ night. I can feel it in my chest and in my neck the most. Its just the increased flow of blood in the body.)

Feel as though my heart muscle is bulging out between ribs with each beat - what's going on?

I can assure you your heart is not bulging out through your ribs. In thin people it is possible to easily feel the impulse of your heartbeat if you place your hand over the right place on the left side of your rib cage. It's just a transmission of the force of your heart's contraction through the musculature of your chest wall.

However, if you feel like your heart is beating fast, or you can sense your own heart beat, it is a sign of palpitations and could potentially be indicative of an underlying arrhythmia which shoud be evaluated. Why you are having chest pains is also unclear, but if it hurts when you push on your chest wall, then it is likely muscoloskeletal in origin (i.e., costochondritis). Nonetheless, chest pains are something that should be evaluated by a doctor to rule out more life-threatening conditions.

I can't feel my heartbeat. What's going on?

This is kinda funny because I actually had the same problem a few months ago.So in Physical Education we were supposed to find our pulse and count how many times it would beat in a minute or something, and our teacher showed us the correct spot to find it. This was because we were going to compare the before and after of working out intensely. There were two different areas where we could check. One was our neck, another was in your vein located on your wrist. You used two fingers to find it.Everyone started to find their pulse, and I also scrambled to do so as well. But the weird thing is, I couldn’t find my pulse! It just wasn’t there. I joked to my friend saying “I’m probably dead man, I can’t feel my pulse.” And then I started to actually get concerned as the timer started and we had to count the beats. The first few seconds I was like “AHHH WHERE IS IT” but afterwards I found a slow steady beat in my neck. After the minute, we calculated our heartbeats. Mostly everyone got like super slow averages while mine was pretty high. Like higher than anyone elses. Which was strange because that meant I was unhealthier and/or unfit then the others but I’m actually a pretty fit person. It was probably due to my anxiety from trying to find my pulse.Anyways, I’m going on a tangent here. Don’t worry if you can’t find it right away, just use your index and middle finger and move around your neck or wrist, going up and down and side to side until you can feel your palpitation. If you really want help just search on YouTube or Wikihow or something.Goodbye!!

Why do I constantly feel my heartbeat / pulse in my head?

This could be serious or not. Without visiting a GP and going through all possible causes, it is very difficult to judge. You know yourself the best. When you observe an abrupt change that is persistent for hours or tens of minutes and does not get away go and solve it. When it is only sometimes, it is probably less important but are you sure that it will not become worse.Let us go through a list of most probable causes of feeling a pulse in one's head.High blood pressure.Indirectly, kidney disease leading to high blood pressure.Water retention in the body.Ear diseases and infections.Aneurysm of arteries in the brain.Atherosclerotic changes of veins in the brain.Morphological changes in brain tissues and/or blood vessels there.Brain infections.Brain edema.Inflammation of the brain or surrounding tissues.Stroke that went unrecognized. Very dangerous. It is usually fast and abrupt. Important to solve asap! Accompanied by symptoms of a stroke: impairment of some of the functions of the brain.Thrombosis. This is very dangerous. Usually, it happens suddenly and can lead to a very quick worsening. It is very similar to stroke from the patient point of view.Headaches.Migraines.Hallucinations. Nothing is happening but the brain is thinking that it is. A virtual problem. The neurological problem of some nerves in the head.Nerve infections. The brain can pick up into consciousness information that is usually processed at lower levels of the brain and do not surface into consciousness. The brain can be understood as a multilevel sieve of information. Only alarms and important information are surfaced in consciousness. This mechanism can get damaged and information about healthy processes can surface in the consciousness. Absolutely harmless situation. The above process can be self-taught and used to scan our own bodies and keep it consciously under control. There are many more possibilities, which can be narrowed down by a careful examination, laboratory results, and visualization methods. The rule of thumb is more pain, more annoying, more abrupt changes, accompanying unusual symptoms, dramatic changes in mental & physical capabilities mean more urgent visit of GP or emergency room. In some cases, each minute matters ( stroke, edema, infection…).Our health and well being is often more in our hands than we are capable to accept.Good luck:-)

Hard to explain but i feel a beating or pumping on my nose and eye area?

heh- I wouldn't worry too much unless you have sudden vision problems, dizziness, and such.
Has it always done that? It could be stress, nerves, or blood pressure, or perhaps you're just more "in tune" with it nowadays.

If I'm in a dim area and stare off into space (sort of off to the side) I can SEE my pulse beating in my vision. My hubby's an opthamologist and says that's normal. But it IS weird lol. And I can see my pulse beating in my neck most of the time. And now that you've mentioned it, I can feel my pulse the same place as you- but only if I touch it. I do have a bit of a sinus infection.
Do you have allergies that are acting up or other sinus troubles?
