What Does It Meant If A Heater Unit In The Attic Suddenly Makes More Noises

Mice near water heater?

Just moved into new house. The water heater is in crawl space. I have noticed the top of heater is covered in mice droppings. I have laid out traps and poison. The water heater is in hard spot to reach, should i be worried about the waste around or on top of heater?

Noises in the Attic?

Nobody has ever been in my attic, but its really small so nothing could really be up there. But every night at exactly 11 11 pm * i no kreepi rite?* it bangs up ther 11 times! ok kreepi wit the 11 and all and i get really freaked out wat kood it be????!!!

Why is my air conditioner making a dripping noise?

There are 4 reasons why an air conditioner makes a dripping sound:· Water formed by condensation needs to drain away. If the drain is blocked, water can drip off the sides of the unit. Unclogging the drain should fix the problem.· Air conditioners require water to function properly. If the amount of water entering the unit is too high, it will leak out. Checking the water feed rate and setting it correctly should stop the leak.· If the unit is not installed correctly the problem can occur. Proper installation requires that water that collects be able to drain out easily. If this does not happen, it will start dripping out. In such cases, the solution is to re-install the unit correctly.· If the external temperature is too cold, ice can form on the cooling coils and when the unit is switched off, it will melt and start to drip.A professional HVAC company will be able to diagnose and rectify the problem.

Will turning up the heat on my water heater make hot water last longer?

It won't make the hot water last longer, but it might make the shower last longer. The water in your shower is essentially a mix of hot water and cold water. If you have a higher temperature on the hot water (but the same overall shower temp), the mix will be adjusted, and the amount of hot water being used at once will be reduced.

Be cautious to turn it up in smallish increments. You may find that the kitchen sink suddenly gives you scalding water, otherwise.

Also, keep in mind that the hotter it's set, the more energy it'll use in maintaining that heat level.

Circuit Breaker for Air Conditioner won't reset.?

Sir, you have a burnt winding in your motor. After awhile a motor will developer hot spots and the hot spot will ground out. Knowing electricity does this fit in the works?
1. pops breaker
2. motor spins by hand aaand?.....pops the breaker......
3. I am referring to the fan motor {sorry}
4. doesn't turn fan ......
try to disconnect the motor from the system and re-energize the circuit. Safe off lead but you know that. If it holds then take the fan motor for rebuilding or a new one. First try a simple test:

1. When you are disconnecting it {if} using your continuity test function try to see if it tones touch a motor lead and the casing of the motor. If it tones out on one or more leads then well...again you know.
just make sure the one lead you test isn't the common then it will tone out on every lead assuming more than one.

Air conditioning - burning smell, then no air out of vents?

My a.c. all of a sudden started with this plastic burning smell in the vents. I turned off the unit, called someone to come, they come out 5 days later, turn on the unit and can get cold air out of it, said there's nothing wrong with it. after 12am burning smell again. just let it run, no air coming out of vents at all. it's still running. repair guy can't come out until tuesday. it's still running as my husband said, let the damn thing run , then after about 2 hours later, we got some cold air out of the vents. now there is none. WHAT the heck is going on? As of right now it's on the repair man can't come out until tomorrow and now there is no air coming out and i'm hearing a tone humming from up in the attic.

Everyone thinks i'm lying
